Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 382 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers express extreme frustration with the customer service, citing an inability to reach a human representative through various channels like email, phone calls, or chat. People frequently report issues with the website and support systems, often being directed to unhelpful online resources or automated bots that fail to resolve their problems. Reviewers also highlight a general lack of accountability and responsiveness from the staff, leading to significant disruptions in their personal and business operations. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with the service they received, describing agents as professional, kind, and effective in resolving their issues. These positive experiences often involved direct assistance from a human agent who took control of their screen or provided expert guidance.

I never have problems with support. I do see alot of others do unfortunately :(

I've contacted there live support numerous times and they were all pleasant the not so easy but still pleasant ones are usually for xbox (i know its still microsoft but still). But at the time i'm writing this review it was actually a problem i had on my pc. I had a virus, i'm not very tech savvy but know some things and research a lot of things to gain some knowledge. But this is my first pc. I built it, and i don't do anything sketchy but play games and that's it. But recently was trying out emulators (some might say sketchy and some might say a rookie mistake on my end for not being knowledgeable). Boom, virus couldn't delete some files not very knowledgeable. Connected to a live agent they remotely connected in after i gave them access and they fixed it in less than 20 minutes pc is now running super smooth again !

Hopeless support!

My Outlook stopped working 3 months ago. I have contacted technical support about 12 times and spent around 15hrs whilst they took over my Laptop. No one can fix it and they will not escalate it to an expert and I cant find a complaints procedure.
Worst company ever! with hopeless support. I have been paying to use their product for 3months and it doesn't work!!!

On Outlook and Word

On Outlook and Word, no matter how many times I try to save English over the American English, it keeps coming back every single time there is some form of update or for some other reason I don’t understand.

I’ve now spent umpteenth years on a weekly basis refusing to accept Z’s in emphasise, analyse and all the other various ridiculous words that American’s have changed.

I want to use English English – how can I permanently get Outlook , across our whole company and indeed, ideally our whole country to use English English and can you please stop forcing American English on us?

ALMOST as **** as Facebook Support

First of all u cant even reach a real human being by calling their public phone number, and this multi billion dollar company literally cannot even bother to get an ai that can actually hear the words you are saying, so you need to repeat yourself at least 2-5 times. Their over all systems are some of the worst I have ever seen, which causes a real demand for Customer service to spike, but ironically, Customer service is apparently the next best thing that they specialize in being completely **** at

Once again I have to complain as I did…

Once again I have to complain as I did a year ago that my laptop is being constantly blitzed with requests to subscribe to their DRIVER UPDATE service. Trying to tick the box to cease sending these requests does not work. Please stop continuing to send these requests.

YOUR SEVICE SUCKS YOU CANNOT GET HELP. THEY DON'T CALL BACK WHEN YOU TELL THEM. THEY LIE TO YOU.

IT IS ALL AUTOMATEDT. IT IS THE WORS CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU GET FROM ANY COMPANY. THE MANAGEMENT OF THE COMOANY DOESN'T CARE AT ALL ABOUT SERVICE. IF HE/SHE DID THEY WOULD FIX IT.

WHEN YOU AHD PEOPLE HELPING YOU WHEN YOU CALLED IT WAS VERY GOOD. NOW YOU NEED TOGO ON LINE WAIT FOR AN EMAIL TO GIVE YOU A TIME THEY WILL CALL YOU BACK.

My charity can no longer function! Disabled kids are the sufferers

I’ve had 365 for business for my charity since 2020. It was difficult to set up but the support via the phone was excellent.

I now have no access to my emails, hosted by Microsoft and accessed via outlook. I cannot get into the admin centre to raise a global support ticket. The ai tells me to set up a new account, I did but got stuck again on Authenticator.

I have been trying to sort this out for over a month but only ai support that can’t even raise a support ticket and as neither can I this equals no support at all.

Microsoft has left my charity with no access to emails, which are generated from applications for support from disabled children. We can no longer function and there appears to be nothing I can do!!

Microsoft Support

I can’t complain about the service I received on getting my son’s XBox repaired. It was still under warranty and Microsoft Support were brilliant in helping to sort it out. It did take me a while to get through to speak to someone as it was AI chat but eventually when I did the service I received was fantastic. They were more than happy to help. I had updates from the minute I posted it out to the minute I received it back. All fixed and no problems.

I just lost hours of critical work…

I just lost hours of critical work because of a fatal design flaw in how OneDrive handles storage limits.
When my storage was full, Auto-Save stopped working, but it didn't force a clear warning to save a local backup. Even worse: After I immediately paid for more storage to fix the issue, the "Auto-Save" toggle stayed "ON," leading me to believe my work was being synced again.
It was a lie. The software failed to recognize the newly available space in real-time. Instead of uploading my progress, it stayed stuck in a failure state. When the session finally refreshed, the system simply pulled the old version from the cloud and overwrote my hours of new work.
Microsoft has designed a system that prioritizes cloud-syncing over local data safety. If the sync hangs, the software should warn you to save a local copy immediately. Instead, it lets you type into a void and then deletes your progress.
Pragmatic advice: Turn off Auto-Save. It is a fake safety net. Save your files locally if you value your time.

Account recovery service shocking

My email account has been blocked due to "too many attempts" after an issue with my phone being stolen sometime ago.
I've been able to access my emails fine, thinking this was resolved until today. My outlook account has asked me to reverify password, which failed and locked me out.
Can't reset the password.
Can't recover the account - its 20 years old...
Can't open a new email address.
All advice given online takes you round in circles! No solution given for these circumstances and no one willing to speak to you to resolve it.

Ai slop

Ai slop , wont put your through to a human even tho i tried everything that the slop recommended. Any positive reviews are definitely bots . Edit, I’ve been using Xbox for 12 years (I’m 20) and everything I know has switched to PlayStation , after loosing my account because of a Microsoft email migration error I will make the switch to play station as if you have any issues you can’t get any help and I’ve lost 12 years of progress on hundreds of games because of this shitty company

Absolutely crap service they should be…

Absolutely crap service they should be ashamed

Blocked me from accessing an account I created and then said I didn’t have enough proof that I was the owner

The ai running their service phone numbers is rubbish too, automatically cut the call and told me to refer to their website which gave me the problem in the first place

Absolute crap

"I just wanted to take a moment to thank Microsoft for their world-class service.

A while ago, I did the unthinkable: I actually paid for Minecraft with my own money. I know, crazy right? Recently, my account was compromised, and I reached out to Microsoft Support, expecting... well, anything. A reply? A bot? A sign of life?
Instead, I got absolute silence. Total 'ghosting.' It turns out that a trillion-dollar company is too busy cramming 'AI slop' and Copilot ads into my Start Menu to actually help a customer who had their account stolen.
So, thank you, Microslop! Because of your incompetence, I’ve finally seen the light. I’m moving to Linux.
You’ve officially made it easier to use a cracked client for a game I legally own than to deal with your non-existent support. Keep my money—consider it my final donation to your failing ecosystem. I’ll be over here enjoying a clean, Microsoft-free OS while you figure out how to put more ads in the weather widget.
Efficiency at its finest. Goodbye.
