What a Cluster@#$&

This is a very long review. But it's worth the read, so bear with me...

My regular supplier was out of stock on formula so I decided to give The Bio Baby a shot. Having 2 supplier is always better than 1. Or so I thought.

I ordered over $300 worth of formula on May 21, 2021 (Friday). They processed the payment immediately. On the morning of May 25 (Tuesday) I emailed them asking for tracking information, if the product had been shipped and for an expected delivery date (I live in Ontario, their website boasts a 2-3 day shipping to Ontario or Quebec). I also tried several times throughout the day to use the online chat feature on their website (I waited for a response for over an hour before giving up). On the morning of May 26, I found the company's Facebook page and I direct messaged them. Finally, on the afternoon of May 27, I received a response via Facebook with the tracking information only, which they had just submitted to the courier. I received a response to my email
with the same information this morning (Friday, May 28).

I have yet to receive the product. I'm very disappointed in the lack of feedback (and the amount of time it took to receive a response) as well as the delayed delivery time, from this company.

Update:
I received a shipment of formula on the evening of May 28. I ordered 9 boxes of Holle Cow stage 2 and received 9 boxes of stage 3. My son being 6 months old, was definitely not ready for stage 3. At this point I was running very low on formula.

In a panic, I contacted the company again via email and Facebook messanger. I received a response via messenger pretty quickly. I was assured that they would make every effort to get the correct formula shipped that day and offered a 5% discount on my next order.

I messaged the next day and the day after asking for tracking information with no response. Again on Monday, I emailed and messaged. I noticed that Facebook was received the messages at their server but they weren't being delivered to the recipient. Looking into this, I found this usually means that THE RECEIVER HAS BLOCKED YOUR MESSAGES.

At this point, I was extremely low on formula and having very little trust or belief that I would receive the formula. I contacted my regular supplier and ordered a couple of boxes of similar formula as they still showed no stock of my regular formula (they actually bent over backwards to help me and managed to hunt down a couple of boxes of my regular formula 🙂).

Finally at 2 pm Monday, I received an email asking for pictures of the incorrect formula as their shipper was claiming that they shipped the correct formula. I also was told that the correct formula was shipped on Sunday (couriers in Canada don't pick up on Sundays). I was told that I would receive the package on Tuesday June 1, but was offered no tracking information.

I received the correct formula (thank god) on June 1. A full 12 days from the time my original order was placed.

Needless to say, I don't recommend this company. They're extremely disorganized, unresponsive and don't stand by their delivery times. I worked in logistics. I thoroughly checked the tracking information that I received for the first shipment. You can see when a company schedules a pick up (MAY 27, I placed my order on MAY 21), when the courier received the package, expected delivery date and even all the check points along the way while the package is in transit. THIS WAS NOT AN ERROR OF THE COURIER COMPANY.

As a parent, this was one of the most stressful situations I've dealt with. We want to provide the best for them but at the very least we have to have food available for them. Faced with the very real possibility of running out of formula and not knowing if my baby would even take a different formula was a huge fear. I'm thankful that I plan ahead but I just barely made it through.

Ordered item on May 25th

Ordered item on May 25th. It is now June 14th. Item still not received. Customer service delayed response and gives no proper answer. First time I ordered everything went ok. This time around spent over $300 and nothing has been sent to date. When it comes to baby milk, you want your order on time to feed your child. Very unhappy. Would not trust them.

Great products and great store. Thank you!!

I used The Bio Baby a few years ago when I struggled with breastfeeding supply issues with my first. It made me feel much better to be able to give my little one products that are much better than what I can buy in stores in Canada. I appreciate the range of products since if something was sold out they always had other similar brands to choose from. I especially appreciate their quick shipping speeds.

I had my second baby recently and ordered more just in case since the hospital had started giving her formula in the NICU, but what they were giving her smelled like a milkshake and had ingredients I’m not comfortable with. I’m so thankful to the Bio Baby for providing such an important service. Thanks!!

Don’t advertise 24-48 packed orders when you cannot fulfill.

I seen on your website that you ship out orders within 24-48 hours. Mine did not get shipped for 7 full business days. The live chat responded one time and said it would be sent out Monday but didn’t end up leaving untill Thursday. After that the live chat was never answered and neither was my email. I understand there are delays with Canada post and UPS but taking 7 days to get it packed up to be sent out? I still don’t have an answer.

Terrible service

Terrible service. First of all you can not reach them its only via email and they answer you whenever they feel like it and their so call live chat is NEVER and answered. Secondly they charge you $15 for shipping and they mention package will be processed for shipping within 24-48 hr however they hardly ship it according to what they state on their website. I have waited a week sometimes gor the milk to be shipped and if you try to reach them its impossible so your stuck waiting for your milk. I have no choice because I live in canda to order from them or else I would not.

I am happy that I found a superior formula

I am happy that I found a superior formula. And I trust that it is safe given the ingredients and the baby takes to it very well but it would be great if the powder had a longer shelf life than three weeks after you open- especially large cans because if you leave a can somewhere by mistake ( line at Gramma’s) and can’t go back to retrieve it it’s completely wasted

Worst customer service and late orders

I have given this company multiple chances but am totally disappointed every time! I have twins boys at home who only drink formula and everytime I order from this company I am stressed out because our order doesn’t come on time or we don’t even get a shipping notification for a week. They have promised to send orders express and it doesn’t happen. Formula is not cheap and the last thing a new mom needs to stress about is feeding her babies! Do not order from this unreliable company!

A reliable source!

One of the better suppliers in for the area. I live in the GTA and always receive my orders within 2-3 days. I also love the live chat option.
Thank you for getting my baby’s formula to me on time.
