Only give it one star because there's no 'half star'. I failed to renew my wife's account on time and after correcting the matter was charged $20 for the reinstatement - fair enough I guess. Howev... See more

Was forced onto the company
Was forced onto the company when my ISP stopped providing email services, they are an awful company to deal with. Terrible customer support which would be fine if the baseline service wasn't awful. Slow and buggy, cut and run as soon as I could.

Was forced by internet provider to the messaging company for my email service.
An absolute substandard provider, my inbox is filled with junk, scam & unrelated emails every day, what a pathetic service.
They charge for a pathetic service, I have made many complaints & contacts to this heap of shit company with no results in fixing their crap service.
Highly recommend not use this shit service.
The Messaging Company - Total Incompetence.
The company actually operates out of Manilla - not Brisbane as we are lead to believe. So when you are asking for help you are often struggling to understand the help desk person as their english language is totally inadequate. Messaging obviously do this to save money on wages.....it just sux. So I've been waiting 2 days to get the promised help from them re the fact that my email is locked. When you attempt to say change your password their system simply doesn't work as its supposed to. The guy on the help desk today admitted that their password procedure doesn't always work because a "symbol" is required as a part of your password but symbols like #@% wont work...really!...what a total joke. Why not fix it! My advice is don't use this company if you can manage it - their entire business model is a joke and they should be removed. I intend writing to the Ombudsman outlining the way this provider operates. Hopefully something will eventuate.
The Messaging Company's Spam filter
The Messaging Company's Spam filter does not work. Even when I provide information on what emails to block / send to Spam, those emails still come through to my Inbox. Speaking to Customer Support was not helpful. I was advised to manually transfer Spam emails to the Webmail Spam folder "to train the algorithm". Well it doesn't make any difference. I also have a gmail account and the Gmail spam filter is by comparison superb. To add to the dissatisfaction, I have just been advised that the cost of my annual subscription for my email account with The Messaging Company has increased by 50%. Gmail is free. The only reason I remain with The Messaging Company is to keep my tpg email address active because most of my login usernames are my tpg email address.
The WORST Possible Email Provider — Avoid At All Costs
The WORST possible email provider!
They would get zero stars if possible.
I had an old netspace account with iiNet (who were good) and my account was migrated to themessaging.co when iiNet stopped providing service.
I cannot understand how The Messaging Company can stay in business.
1. Their email service is absolutely terrible:
- Their webmail UI is the worst product to use.
- Deleted emails randomly just re-appear some time later.
- Spam filtering is random at best, they often mark replies to emails you sent to reputable email addresses as spam.
- It is extremely slow.
- Sent messages often stay in the draft folder.
- You cannot paste an image from the clipboard.
- Print does not layout pages correctly (different page sizes in one document).
- Print does not display embedded content (even after enabling it on the main message).
- The whole UI is often affected by CSS from a message and does some crazy display stuff.
- Search often does not perform any filtering.
- Plus more ...
2. Their "support" is so random it is laughable.
- You spend a heap of time documenting a problem in detail, and their support bot just sends a reply email with a completely unrelated "solution"!
I am acting as a free beta tester, why not use this feedback to actually fix problems & improve the product rather than completely ignoring it?
When you reply to the messaging.co reply it then just gets ignored.
Avoid this company like the black plague
This is just another episode of many previous issues with email with this company, My subscription was due on the 27th June which they took from my bank account.
I noticed that i stopped receiving email on the 26th June, I tried to sign into Webmail a few times but it replied my details were wrong, as I can login to the server on my outlook just get no email so I doubt my details are wrong more a case mail is blocked
I am in the UK so have a UK phone number which they say they cannot send a one time code.
I called them on my phone and spoke to a agent, he asked for a alternative email and he would send a code there in 10-20 mins naturally that never happened,
I phoned again and spoke to a agent his reply was he could not access my account and i would have to send identification docs and a Stat dec
I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said the same but would send what docs they needed to my wife,s email as soon as she was off the call, naturally once again this never happened.
How the Australian Omnibudsman allowed all these ISP companies to transfer accounts to these clowns.
They should be shutdown and forced to transfer all accounts to a reliable company who can handle them
Just plain dodgy
Just plain dodgy. When iiNet hung us out to dry with these morons, the Co. supposedly offered a lower rate for annual payments - but their website would not process annual payments. More recently they changed the rates so that the annual rate is simply 12 times the monthly rate. And guess what, yeah, now the annual payment does work. Just a really dodgy way to suck people in. Everything about this crowd stinks.
iiNet hung customers out to dry
When iiNet said it was no longer servicing emails and sent us to this clunky site, I think iiNet may have reneged on a service agreement. Has anyone looked into that? It's ridiculous and insulting to be treated like this. Shame on iiNet.
Highly aggressive and rude
They are rude, dishonest and aggressive. Absolutely the worst customer service imaginable and as for their email service, totally unreliable.
All my past email vanished without warning
All my past email vanished without warning. The customer service person kept asking the same questions and after an hour I was really stressed out. His listening skills were zero and offered no help. I too was pushed into this dreadful company by iinet after 30 years as a loyal customer. I feel betrayed by iinet and now I have lost so much.
They seem incompetent
They seem incompetent. Also been switched from ozemail to iiNet to TMC and constant issues with receiving and sensing emails. Needed to change password several times. 'Tim' automated help system can't cope with requests for assistance and human help slow to arrive (if at all!) despite having to pay for what was free with iiNet.
We are switching all emails to gmail.
Run away.....Rubbish service, dont pay for nothing returned!
Poor experience, my email was peremptorily given to theses clowns after 22 years with current ISP – will NOT answer questions, 3 day turn around on support calls; if your email has ended up here: run. - I urge you to make other arrangements ie Gmail, Outlook etc. basically anything else!
USELESS
The best thing the company could do is vaporise ou ther behinds
Absolute junk product
Absolutely by far the worst email program I've ever used. Rubbish interface. Slow. Inflexible. Sub-standard. Just junk. They should be embarrassed charging for this. And I should be embarrassed paying for this!
The worst
The worst, most unprofessional email provider I've ever used! Useless customer support. I only rated 'One Star' because there is no 'zero' stars to rate. Avoid at all costs.
Worst company ever
Worst company ever, I feel trapped because I can not move my email address away. They are so bad they don't even have a single 2 star rating.
I wrote a very negative review about The Messaging Company....
I wrote a very negative review on the Messaging Company some time ago. Whilst i still feel the same about its handling of emails, I feel obliged to say that I now know why I was receivng the threatening messages, and was eventually cut off from my mail
Basically I was under the misapprehension that when you deleted or binned email messages they disappeared completely. But it now seems that iinet had a bank of thousands of my deleted/ binned messages which it transferred to The Messaging Company when I joined up.
Those were the messages they were telling me to reduce, but as I knew nothing of this (and never used Webmail) I was deleting current messages thinking that was the problem.
Computer experts may have been familiar with this, but I was not. Consequently I was cut off until a friend showed me what to do. Why didnt iinet just dump them? or at least explain what they were transferring?
Why didnt The Messaging Company explain that when I signed up?
I spent weeks worrying about all this, no doubt many others did too
Junk spam and phishing
Since moving to this company when my service provider (iinet 😡) ceased providing mail services, I have more junk, spam and phishing emails than real emails. Some of my real emails have gone missing. I’ve tried calling support however they barely understand English and do nothing (though tell you they’re “escalating the problem “. Don’t waste your money!
Disgusting excuse for a company as is…
Disgusting excuse for a company as is iinet. They off load their email after years of loyal customers to this Mickey Mouse Operation for which you have to pay $30 per year.
Then you find out they only allow 2G of storage. Now I have to pay another $50 to upgrade to have more storage. They should be go out of business. It will take me a year but I will remove y email with suppliers to a gmail account.
Absolutely appalling support.
Absolutely appalling support.
Overseas cannot send email. Receive a few but not all.
Totally cut of from banks because cannot receive code to verify transactions.
Asked to suppy error message which was Oops. Screen shot send and they do not recognise error message.
Cannot reset passport as cannot get email with the code required.
Appalling and unprotected company.
