Extremely dishonest and frustrating…
Updating my review after the company's response.
I acknowledge that the company has provided its explanation. However, my review reflects my actual experience as a customer.
I work remotely from home and was present throughout the entire delivery period. No courier ever rang my doorbell, no delivery card was left, and I never received any customs payment request that gave me a realistic opportunity to resolve the issue before the parcels were returned.
The company refers to carrier contact attempts and customs notifications. Unfortunately, none of those communications ever reached me in a way that allowed me to act.
The result was that two separate orders never reached me.
What matters most to me is not whose system failed — the carrier's, customs', or the retailer's. What matters is the customer experience. As a customer, I paid for products that never arrived, spent weeks trying to understand what had happened, and had to repeatedly contact support before the matter was finally resolved.
International customers should be aware that:
• import duties may apply,
• parcels can be returned before the issue is resolved,
• shipping costs may be retained even when the products are never received.
While the product value was eventually refunded, the overall experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and disappointing.
Based on my experience, I would not order internationally from this company again.

We want to gently clarify a few points for anyone reading, as our records show a slightly different picture. Both parcels were dispatched promptly and tracked through to your destination country, where they were held by the local customs authority pending import duties. These charges are levied by your country's customs office, not by us, and unfortunately they sit outside our control. Our shipping policy — linked to and documented in multiple locations on our website — does set out that international duties are the recipient's responsibility, and that parcels returned to us after non-collection are refundable minus original shipping costs.
Tracking confirmed multiple contact attempts from the carrier before the parcels were returned to the UK. We appreciate that customs notifications can sometimes go astray or land in spam, and we're sorry that appears to have happened here.
Once the parcels arrived back with us, we issued refunds in line with our published terms. We understand this wasn't the outcome you wanted, and we're sorry the experience fell short of expectations.
I don't believe your experience is at all reflective of the service you received or that all of our other happy international customers receive. I wish you all the best though, and have a great day.

The straps are well made and attractive. There is a wide variety of designs and materials, and they come in different sizes so they fit very well and suit most watches. The straps arrived quickly after placing the order. Thoroughly recommended!

I had a problem with the first Watch…
I had a problem with the first Watch band I received, more my fault than the manufacturer yet they were extremely helpful and more than fair. Replacing my original strap at a steeply discounted price. The new strap arrives and it is more handsome than I could’ve even imagined.

Chestnut Buttero Strap
I've been looking for some time for a brown leather strap for my 3861 Speedmaster. David was online when I was visiting his online store and suggested the Buttero Chestnut Brown as I was trying to give my Speedy a FOIS look. Turned out to be a perfect choice! The FOIS look is one of my favourite directions for a Speedy, and that chestnut tone sits beautifully against the black dial and steel case. Pleased it's comfortable on the wrist too — Buttero breaks in really nicely over the first few weeks.

Better than OEM
Very well made strap, looks and appears OEM. I needed a longer strap for my wrist, and since IWC didn't make the strap style I needed for my larger wrist, the Strap Tailor came through. Very happy with the final result.
