I purchased a holiday voucher through Wowcher for approximately £280 as a birthday gift for my partner. Unfortunately, the experience that followed has been incredibly stressful and disappointing.

After purchasing the voucher, I attempted to redeem the holiday through The Travel Makers. However, despite repeated calls, emails, and WhatsApp messages over approximately six weeks, I was continuously given excuses as to why booking confirmation could not be provided.

Each time I contacted the company, I was told the matter was “being looked into” or “being processed”, yet no actual confirmation or resolution was ever provided.

Due to the ongoing delays and lack of communication, I eventually requested a refund. Again, I received only repeated copied-and-pasted responses without any meaningful progress.

The holiday was for a specific date, which has now completely passed without the booking ever being properly confirmed or fulfilled. As a result, the holiday I paid for never happened and the occasion it was intended for was completely missed.

I have now:

- Submitted formal complaints
- Contacted Citizens Advice
- Reported the issue to Trading Standards
- Attempted repeatedly to resolve the matter directly with both Wowcher and The Travel Makers

I understand delays can happen, but after six weeks of repeated generic responses and no actual resolution, I feel it is important to share my experience publicly for other customers to be aware.

I sincerely hope this matter is finally resolved properly.

The Travel Makers have been an excellent company to deal with- I have had several issues I needed to address due to my own concerns and they have dealt positively with everything, putting my mind at rest and allowing me to enjoy my holiday. Initially I had some concerns with the booking process, but I was then connected to a manager who sorted everything out very quickly. I then had to sort out some other issues which included special assistance, transport queries, but everything was dealt with immediately and I was provided with great service from excellent staff. I would recommend this company

Bought a holiday through Wowcher and was under the impression that this could be refunded if it was within so many days and if the holiday did not match the description.
We were then contacted and offered a holiday which was different from the one advertised and offered non-direct flights (which the website states will not be offered for holidays within Europe).
We agreed to nothing with the travel agent as this combined with the “upgraded” flight times still being shocking.
Do not book with this company if you are not prepared for disappointment.

Booked through Wowcher. Had calls to book my flights and confirm my holiday, unfortunately had a few problems with flights due to it being fully booked, but spoke to hector and he helped me choose best option with this problem. He was very helpful and gave me multiple options with my next steps until I was able to choose one which would be best suited to me.

Elijah was incredibly friendly and helpful, in arranging our holiday decently deserves the 5 star service thank you!

Purchased a flight through wowcher and had one phone call with the this company shortly after to discuss airport options.. You think they ever came back to me?? I have been emailing and calling in to no avail. I decided to cancel all together and once they finally acknowledged, they said they initiated the refund.. every time I request an update, they say give 72 hours... It's been more than a month now.. Wowcher won't deal with it they've whipped they're hands clean of it so never using them again either. The Travel makers had the audacity to answer my phone call and say"we don't deal with Wowcher" and hang up! These people are pieces of garbage!! Over a month now and they think they're going to get away with stealing my money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHATEVER YOU DO

I purchased a Wowcher deal which was redeemed with the third-party merchant TheTravelMakers.co.uk and my experience has been extremely disappointing.

Since January, I have been trying to arrange suitable flights. The options provided by the agent, Jude, were more expensive than expected, so I requested a refund, which Jude agreed to. I have a recording confirming this.

I was told the refund would be processed within 10 days. That timeframe has now passed, and I still have not received it.

Customer service has been unacceptable — calls are not returned and messages ignored. This delay appears to breach the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and UK consumer protection regulations.

Unless resolved promptly, I will escalate the matter. I strongly caution others against using this service.
