I've had a Yaris Cross self charging hybrid for two and a half years now. The tiny 12v battery won't hold a charge for more than two days without locking me out and needing the AA. I am now par... See more

I own a 2017 Toyota C-HR
I own a 2017 Toyota C-HR, which I purchased last year as a second owner, and I can honestly say I am extremely impressed with this car.
After more than a year of ownership, it continues to exceed my expectations. The performance, features, comfort, and overall driving experience are outstanding. It feels reliable, smooth, and enjoyable every time I drive it.
This car proves Toyota’s quality and engineering at its best. I genuinely struggle to put into words how satisfied I am with this model.
Thank you, Toyota, for creating such an excellent vehicle!
?????disappointed
?????? Disappointed ??????????.....4 months waiting for a car only to be told that it's not going to turn up..held onto my deposit and I had to ask for it back ...worse than that was offered a brand new car for the same money a month...refused because of the depreciation...I suggested a cheaper 2nd hand car with more miles on the clock and of a lesser value that the new car they had offered me ...they wanted an extra 600 quid deposit with just under 100 pound extra a month on the pcp.....poor show when I was brought in on the assumption that they would do all they can to rectify the poor service they have shown me ???????????
In response to your reply ...I was in on sat discussing the situation i dont think it would be hard to find the problem you found me easy enough on sat with only my name when you wanted to sell me a car ....why is it so difficult now...you already have my bank , personall details and mobile...and email...ridiculous response...

Customer Disservice
Review refers to SLM Toyota in Attleborough. Service Advisor "Andy" was rude to me when I asked for details of the planned work on my car, when I queried the time estimated for the repairs he asked me "do you want us to fix your car or not". When I asked him his position (job title) he replied with "general dogs body". When I asked for his name he said "Mickey Mouse". This rates as Disservice and has reminded me of the reason why I stopped having my car serviced there.
I found the Toyota service disappointing
I found the Toyota service website to be the greatest work of fiction since Charles Dickens. I bought a used Toyota from the RRG group in North West England and they assured me the car had been fully serviced and safety checked by one of their dealerships, and they referred me to the Toyota website that confirmed the car had been fully serviced. I was a bit suspicious, so I asked my local garage to inspect the car. They confirmed that the oil was dirty, the air filter was dirty, and the A/C filter was dirty (photos available). Also, the spare wheel was under- inflated and the rear brake drums were dusty (which suggested to me the rear brake drum slave cylinders had not been inspected for leaks). I wrote to RRG and they stated, as far as they were concerned, the car had been fully serviced and that was the end of it. I will never trust the Toyota website or the Toyota dealer again, and I will not be having my car serviced by a Toyota dealer if this is the standard of their service.
Prospective Buyers need to be aware
Toyota Corolla Hybrid. Prospective Buyers need to be made aware of just how bad this car is. According to Toyota UK, 'If the vehicle is left unused for extended periods, the battery may discharge to a level where the hybrid system cannot start.' Further questioning reveals that for Toyota an extended period is defined as FIVE DAYS. So if you go away for a week's holiday there is a very good chance that the car will not start! They recommend 'running the vehicle for about 1 hour once or twice a week.'
The redeeming feature of this car is it's economy but this is mitigated by the need to make constant unnecessary journeys just to keep the battery charged and one further comment. Because of the transmission system used in this car, 'bump starting' is not an option
Do not get finance via Toyota Finance
I finished my PCP finance with current car, and final/balloon payment had to be made, which i then paid only half of it, and the rest i did finance. Again, i used toyota finance. when i called toyota finance they have told me that there will be a new agreement, and the finance will move from pcp to hp finance because since they will take the full payment via finance there will be no final payment left for me to pay. after a week or so, i logged in to mytoyotafinance web page, and saw everything is updated but the finance type appears as PCP still. i also received a letter from toyota stating that my finance is HP finance. there are two scenarios here. 1- i have currently two active finance which will mess up my credit score completely. Potentially i will also be responsible to pay balloon payment in one go 2- they simply messed it up. they either sent me wrong letter and told me incorrect information via phone call, or they did not update the website. when i email then back and forth, they are being extremely unprofessional and telling me that all the information i see on website is correct. however, they cannot answer why i received a letter with hp finance. i then asked to get voice recordings as this is my right via gdpr, however they then asked me some securit questions which i answered and then told me to raise it again with complaints team, while i am talking with complaints team. this is extremely unprofessional and totally damaging the brand. There is also a potential miscalculation on the finance, as you will get different percentage depending of the finance you go with. Toyota is my childhoold dream manufacturer, and i always had toyota cars. Toyota Finance is a great example how to ruin reputation of a brand and lose customers. I have shared my experience with some newsletters and car groups as well. If i do not get response for my GDPR requests, i will then reach out to legal authorities and take legal actions against it.
Toyota Guildford, KIngston or Croydon never answer the phone
Toyota is an amazing, engineering led brand, badly let down by dealers that never answer the phone.
Tried three Toyota main dealers round south London today, none of them aswered the phone.
Do not lease any vehicle from Toyota UK
I leased an Aygo X vehicle from Toyota UK in Dec 2022, and setup a DD for the monthly premiums. On 1 occasion out of 36, the DD was apparently bounced which I was not aware of it. Toyota Finance did not re-present the DD after 2 weeks and contacted me 9 months later for the missed payment, but in the meantime they filed it as a non-payment which had impacted my credit file. I spoke with their admin to resolve the issue but they were extremely unhelpful. When it came to returning the car after 36 months, their so called independent inspector! mentioned a couple of very minor paint spots which were very minor and were not visible with the naked eyes. The inspector was referring to those spots as dent! Which they were not! Basically he was expecting the car to be returned as perfect as day one! after 36 months! All other leasing companies I had dealt with in the past would consider such minor issues as wear and tear, but the inspector said I would be charged for two extremely minor issues!
The other issue was that shortly after I leased the Augo X, Toyota reduced the monthly premiums of the same vehicle by £100 a month for their new customers but not for existing customers! Again I called Toyota and I hit the brick wall again, they were extremely unhelpful and did not consider any discount. So I have been overcharged by £100 a month for neatly 36 months!!! On return day they made me wait for 8 hours for the inspector to come and for the pick up truck to take the car. As their ex-customer, I would never lease any vehicle from Toyota UK again and I would never recommend it to anyone!!!
Good and Bad
A mechanic once said to me "you can't go wrong with a Toyota". I've had two now, both secondhand, and so far he's been proved right, they've been very reliable cars. Before I retired I was also an occasional visitor to their HQ office near Epsom, which is a lovely site and the people I dealt with there were all nice. I was shocked therefore at the rude service I received at the dealership in Croydon when I took the car in with a minor query. Maybe I was just unlucky but it's left a nasty taste, and I'll never use that dealership again.
Never sign up with Toyota Financial…
Never sign up with Toyota Financial Services for any financing help, as customer service is very difficult to get hold of, complaint not dealt with and try and avoid getting involved in anything that looks like effort. Might as well talk to your cat for all the use they are. They are so bad they even have their own trustpilot site Toyotafinancials pretty much all reviews are 1 star. So highly recommend not getting your car finance via Toyota Financial Services.
First and second impressions not good
We recently received a Product recall for our BZ4X for the HVAC. We called our local S E Kings Lynn, and they managed to get it booked in the same week. We took the vehicle and dropped it off, we got to 4pm and received a call to say they hadn't got time to look at our vehicle. It was then rebooked in for one week later and as we had been inconvenienced they were going to collect and deliver the vehicle back FOC. About 430pm the night before it was due to be collected we received a call and they advised that they needed to cancel the booking as the part was found to be not to satisfactory standard, strange why this wasn't picked up a week earlier when the part would have been checked. They have now escalated to Toyota UK but we're unable to advise whether we would be looking at days or weeks before it could be looked at. This is our first impression of SE service and not a good one. Yhe recall was for an issue which could be affected by cold weather.

Corruption in Toyota and Lexus
Corruption in Toyota and Lexus
I trust Toyota and Lexus cars in that extend that I have had either Toyota or Lexus during past thirty years. I have however become disappointed by finding out that ther is corruption in the dealership organisation at least in Gothenborg.
The reason I discovered this corroption is the bad behaviour that Michael Aleros in Lexus Gothenborg has shown repeatedly. That made me sensitive and curious. The result was that he treats badly those custumers who dont mean extra money for him.
Last time when I was bringing my car from service, the mechanic told to Michael "wait" and then turned to me and said "your Brake Discs need to be changed next service".
I handle my car carefully and I drive mostly long distances. That means Brake Discs in my new Lexus should not be thorn out after just two years.
I went out and checked them. They are almost as new Brake Discs.
I call this corruption and nothing else. Of course, many people who dont know much about cars pay lots of money for unnecessary reparations.
That made me think further.
For less than two years ago when I left my three years old Toyota Camry back to the dealership I left even winterdecks. I never thought I had bought them myself and the dealer did not say a word and took them.
As much as I trust Toyota and Lexus cars I could not imagine there is such low persons in dealerships.
I have purchased a 2016 Toyota aygo
I have purchased a 2016 Toyota aygo. 30 000. Since i had it , it has leaked into boot , ceiling etc . I reviewed the issue online and it seems to be an issue with Th Toyota aygo. So i decided to ask and email head office to see if they could fix . Not having the funds to do myself . I spent my savings on car !!!!! I read this was a design fault and happened to these cars from 2014 onwards . They have refused to help Asking me to get an inspection done £167 then pay for fixing . The water is leaking out and into 3rd break light , where there is also wiring . Every time i open it floods out . I now have car covered in plastic bags and towels to try and stop further damage . The condensation in car is terrible . I will never buy another Toyota if i did have the money . Just because it’s an older car doesn’t mean they should not correct fault . I bought it off a non toyota garage but it is not there fault all the flooding !!!!!
Excellent customer service from the…
Excellent customer service from the Preston Branch. Thank you Mark K. for the great service.
Do not use any Lister group toyota
I have had multiple issues with, in particular, the Bristol North branch. Beyond selling you the car they simply don't care. I hoped to get a resonable respond from management but they simply defended their policies. I contacted the main office as well and they don't care either as "they simply manufactor the cars". They have zero care about the dealers that sell their cars independently.
Awful company
Toyota vehicles are not Safe
Never buy a car from Toyota my car have a problem The Critical Issue: Toyota Acknowledged Recall (GGG95)
Crucially, during my correspondence regarding this mechanical failure, Toyota acknowledged that there is an active Recall Campaign (GGG95) for my specific vehicle model, relating to the EGR valve.
• Inconsistency in Stance: Toyota GB has repeatedly refused to investigate any potential link between this known EGR valve recall and the catastrophic mechanical failure, despite my belief that it is the most likely cause.
• Unacceptable Condition: I was told that the recall issue could not be dealt with until the engine was fixed, yet the engine was not fixed because the warranty claim was not accepted
Extremely disappointed
My car stayed over a week in Toyota Vertu Leicester for investigation and I’m still waiting for a written report. The problem was never solved by Toyota, and communication was poor throughout. Very bad management, and the mechanics seem to work with old knowledge and no updates for new models.
After all this time, Toyota couldn’t find the problem — but Halfords mechanics fixed it in just a few hours. Very disappointed and completely lost trust in Toyota service quality.
Toyota Colchester
In January I purchased a 3 year old corolla £19,000. Within days I noticed there were multiple body issues, dents, bad repairs. I went back to Toyota Colchester to point this out and minor dents were pulled out at their expense. I also mentioned that the bonnet was misaligned and was evident it had been partly sprayed, front passenger door glass badly scored, they wouldn't do anything for those issues. There was a split on the lower section of the front bumper which the salesman said didn't show in their photos, I wasn't shown those photos, the rear bumper had been botched with mismatched paint over the unrepaired damage. Eventually they agree d to repair the front split bumper, but the terrible bad repair to the front bumper was left, the front right of the bumper where it meets the wing is proud and out of alignment, I had to pay for the rear bumper damage. I have recently mentioned about the drivers door being out of alignment and was told I would be contacted, nothing happened, emails ignored. I have yet to go to Toyota GB, if they do nothing I will write to Japan and I will exercise my statutory rights here in the UK. All they seem concerned about is you leaving a 5 star review. I am now doubting as to whether they do what they're supposed to do when servicing my car.
