Had high hopes after seeing relatively positive reviews online but that wasn't a reflection on my experience. Booked an inflexible ticket but then had a family emergency so couldn't take my planned flights. Contacted the admin team asking for at least a tax refund on my unused flights and didn't get a reply. Avoid at all costs and pay more to book directly with the airline.
I had a very disappointing experience with this travel agency.
I called them to discuss rescheduling my flight and had to wait on the line for around 1.5 hours just to get connected. After finally answering, they asked me to stay on hold again — and I waited for another 30 minutes. Despite all that, no one came back on the call to assist me.
I also sent them an email regarding this issue, but I have not received any response so far.
This level of customer service is extremely frustrating and unacceptable, especially when dealing with time-sensitive travel issues. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their support system.

It's been 8th week still trying to get refund on my cancelled flight due to middle east circumstances. Tried to contact them by all means but no response and that's very frustrating.
Poorly trained staff with conflicting and false information.
And by reading costumers reviews I hope in future if I ll get refund they ll cut their admin fee for cancelled flight which was not my fault.

Please avoid using this third party platform - I've booked BA flights and when trying to manage my booking my reference number does not work to try and amend the flights. I spent 3 hours on a call (2 of those on hold) try to amend my outbound flight to be told it would cost a further 1k when online the prices are advertised the same fee. I understood the airline fees etc which I was willing to pay but this price was ridiculous. When I go through to someone they put me on a further hold for 20 mins to not be very helpful at all - they had a poor attitude I do not recommend using Travel Up and would book direct with the airline!!!
I had booked a hotel only to have an awful experience from the beginning having to chase to make the final payment for my hotel.
To then be told it was paid for and a booking confirmation sent to me. To then arrive very late to my hotel alone and be told that there was no reservation. Later it transpired that both travel up and the hotel were saying they both cancelled it and the eventually travel up told my hotel that I cancelled it, not sure why I would have turned up after cancelling especially in a foreign country. Still not getting anywhere I had to repay the hotel to stay. I called travel up and was waiting for 3 hours for them to call back and nothing. I will never and never recommend anyone to book with them
Due to the war in the Middle East, our flights were disrupted and the airline confirmed we were eligible for a refund. Straightforward—until you realise the booking was made through TravelUp.
Because of this, the airline couldn’t process anything directly, leaving us stuck dealing with TravelUp… which has been an absolute nightmare.
7–8 weeks later: no refund, no meaningful updates, no accountability.
Emails are ignored. Phone calls take hours, only to be met with conflicting information or advisors who don’t seem to know what’s going on. It genuinely feels like you’re getting a different story every time.
Customer service isn’t just poor—it’s practically non-existent.
What’s also hard to ignore is the number of reviews praising “easy booking” and “great prices.” Yes, booking is easy. That’s the trap. The real test is what happens when something goes wrong—and that’s where TravelUp completely falls apart.
I fully expect a copy-and-paste response to this apologising and saying they’ll “look into it,” but after nearly two months of silence, there’s really no explanation that justifies this level of service.
Lesson learned: saving a few pounds isn’t worth it. Book directly with the airline—at least then refunds are processed and you can actually speak to someone who can help.
At this point, I’d have more confidence booking flights through a paper airplane and a prayer.
Very straightforward booking process on website. Very competitive prices too so that's a bonus
Had a very bad experience with this travel agent. I booked and purchased flights and selected their 'cancel for any reason' policy for an additional £142. This was shown clearly on my booking confirmation email but when I tried to cancel they claimed I hadn't purchased it. When I checked my credit card statement it became clear that their payment system had failed to take the additional payment in spite of it being on my booking confirmation. As a result I was told that I would not get any refund for cancellation which would have cost me nearly £600! Luckily the airline subsequently offered full refund for cancellation anyway which I confirmed with the travel agent. But even though the airline said it would take 15 days to process refund, the travel agent said I would have to wait 6-8 weeks! I have now registered a court claim for the amount I am owed. Horrible experience and will never use again!
I would strongly advise anyone to avoid booking through Travelup. My flight from Manchester to Beijing was cancelled by Hainan Airlines. While the airline automatically rebooked me for the following day, this didn’t work for my pre-booked hotels and tours, so I contacted Travelup to reschedule for an earlier date. What followed was a masterclass in poor service. I called multiple times. Each time, I was told I would receive an email within 24–48 hours. Those deadlines passed repeatedly with zero communication. After calling a third time, they promised to resolve my request (to fly a day earlier) within 72 hours. They actually replied within 3 hours this time, but they completely ignored my specific request and instead offered a date even later than the original cancellation. Travelup’s "support" consists of scripted delays and a total disregard for the customer’s schedule. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.
Very poor experience with TravelUp.
I paid £470.56 for a fully refundable ticket, but after the airline changed the schedule, I was refunded only £377.56. They kept £93 in “admin,” “booking,” and “tax” fees—even though the change wasn’t my fault.
On top of that, they stopped responding to my emails when I asked for clarification.
Misleading and unprofessional. I would not recommend.

Actually I booked my ticket of Qatar Airways through travellup.my flight was due on 31st March but they emailed me before 2weeks of my flight ,due to ongoing crises ,you can either rebook or cancell your flight and we ,ll refund you or you can either get a credit voucher. .Then I went with cancellation and I cancelled my flight on 16th of March but they haven,t refund me yet which I m not happy about .
