Appalling ‘delivery’ experience

Longtime customer, ordered food last night that never arrived. No call, no buzzer — just a photo of my bag left on the ground outside my building at midnight. I went downstairs within 30 seconds in my pyjamas, checked three buildings, and it was gone. The driver lied when I called him and claimed he’d waited and rung the buzzer multiple times. I was watching him on the map — he wasn’t even outside my building until the very end.

I’ve been refused a refund four times. Support agents close the chat without even responding. My food safety report was ignored. There is no phone number, no email, no way to escalate. Just the same copy-paste ‘not eligible for a refund’ response on loop.

£20 for food that never arrived, a company that makes it structurally impossible to complain, and agents who close your chat mid-conversation. Switching to Deliveroo!

Accused me of being a scammer...

Ordered food having been out and couldn't be bothered to cook. I've only used the app once before and that time food was missing. I complained at the time and got refunded for the missing items.

So decided as we couldn't be bothered to cook, to order using the app. £50 later and 30 mins wait for what turned out to be folded food, there were items missing, again.
I went onto the app to chat to Uber eats so called customer service and after giving her the details of what was missing, I got a message saying we will not be refunding you due to previous activity in the account. Basically accusing me of trying to defraud. What for 20 chicken nuggets? Absolute joke.

Oh how I wish I could swear because I was so angry, I got in the car and drove to the maccies in Bury and complained. The manager there was in all fairness very good and refunded me for what was missing. However, they do need to sort out checking food orders before sending them.

As for uber eats, what an absolute joke of a company. Vile customer service.

Poorly setup and controlled system

Placed food order. Whilst tracking driver cancelled and new driver assigned. 8 different drivers. There should be be a rule that if a driver accepts a delivery he/ she must complete the job and not cancel because a better/ closer job pops up on their phone. I will never use this service again.

Untrustworthy delivery service

Untrustworthy delivery service. An order is given a code. So how come my groceries were left with persons unknown without a confirming the code number. If left at an incorrect address, then the recipient has free food at my expense. Or, on the other hand, the Uber Eats driver decided to keep it for themselves. If that’s the case, I hope as a form of punishment for your ineptitude or dishonesty, Karma seeks you out. Dreadful service. I mean, who actually manages these people or even cares.

Do not use this company

I wouldn't even give one star if I could. Ordered a meal at 5pm to be delivered. Delivery guy turned up after half hour with an order that wasnt ours and shrugged his shoulders and said ring KFC. We rang and the food was still there so they said they had sent with another driver. No food has arrived and drier marked as delivered. Disgusting service KFC said the drivers often eat customers food!!!! Absolutely disgusted. No food delivered and had to order elsewhere.

I ordered food

I ordered food, it arrived an hour later stone cold. When I made a complaint to them, they refunded 1/5 of my order. When I noted that the whole meal was not edible, they refused to refund the whole amount. Icky customer service.

Don’t listen to the estimate time

Don’t listen to the estimate time. It’s always a lie you will wait longer than expected unless it’s night maybe you’ll be lucky. I order from Asda at night which is about 4 mins drive from me, it still takes 30/40+mins

Food was absolutely freezing cold but Uber eats state “I completely understand how disappointing it must be when your order doesn’t meet expectations of a certain temperature.
While we’ve already reviewed this order in line with our policies, I want to assure you that your feedback has been shared with the restaurant so they can take it into consideration moving forward.”

If I could leave below 1 star I would! 2 hours for a KFC to be delivered.! On app shows he's 2 mins away. Go outside it changes to 3 mins away and drives in the opposite direction!! Finally arrives with the wrong order! Bunch of idiots!!

Would give zero if I could.

Rude drivers who stop to collect other delivery services on the way with my hot food. Don't listen to delivery address instructions and is rude when you question them. Cold foot.
Uber gave a refund of 83p which is an insult. Keep your 83p and stick it. Ill stick with deliveroo.

Got charged for food which was not delivered

The uber eats have audacity to not to deliver food and also charge you money. The drivers are so bad, untrained and rude. Hardly speak any English and delivery times are over an hour for less than couple of miles food delivery. Absolutely pathetic service

Yet another dissatisfied customer. This service should be closed down. To be honest the service is criminal. I ordered two salad bowls for priority delivery. The driver arrived but said he had not collected my order from the shop and he did not know why he had been sent here. He left shortly after. I tried to contact customer support, you’ve got to love those chat bots, so unhelpful, after 5 minutes it decided to ask if I wanted to chat with a person. They were singularly unhelpful. Saying that they have carefully followed the driver and he is on his way. Having told them that cannot be possible, as he has been and gone, without delivery. As the delivery was marked as live nothing they could do. The next statement was the delivery had been delivered but told them I had not received it so, is going to be resolved? The answer was simple the customer support closed the chat. Delivery was photographed at a different house, clearly the PIN number had not been checked by the driver. Totally unsatisfactory service. Avoid this company like the plague.

Zero star , complete scam. Spent £50 on food , driver sent a picture in completely different location. Never got the food. Uber support are crap. Contacted them and they said driver met policy. Even though they didnt phone me, nor did they respond to my messages. Complete scam

This is the worst delivery service I have ever known. I haven’t learned though but I have had enough now. Almost every food delivery is late and the food cold. Never use. You will have waste your money and ruin your meal.
