It’s so bad it gave me Ligma

This website is godforsaken terrible firstly it's bad graphical design looks like it was made with paint that comes with every computer. The algorithm is terrible and doesn't recognise answers properly. It deters me from maths the subject in general I struggle with maths maths watch is no help no hints are given you feel deserted and helpless. The videos give some help but not much help. If your a school considering using this website look somewhere else try diagnostic questions, seneca just please not this. I hope the company understands this and re evaluates the way they run things. Even my parents agree the tear ridden nights I spent attempting maths watch homework when I ask them to help even they can't understand the questions or practically the whole website. Really hope my school switches up the way they do maths homework

Bad website ever

I have never experienced an educational service as bad as MathWatch. Each time I get a question wrong, it takes a piece of my soul with it. I keep asking myself “what does it want from me?”, and I still don’t know the answer.

The way MathsWatch wants you to structure your answers is a creation from the deepest, hottest depths of hell. It should classify as a method torture.

Furthermore, whenever I need to watch a video for one of the questions, the woman who voices them sounds almost identical to my headteacher that it might as well be the same person. Whenever I hear that voice, whether it is my headteacher or the MathsWatch lady, I get a sudden flush of fear. I fear the videos that I forced myself to watch which never helped me in the slightest.

I can't express just how much I despise MathsWatch! This platform has got to be the most horrendous thing that's ever happened to education. It's a complete and utter disaster in every way imaginable. Here are some reasons why I believe MathsWatch is a total train wreck:

Outdated Interface: The user interface of MathsWatch looks like it was designed in the early 2000s and hasn't seen an update since. It's clunky, slow, and painful to navigate. I feel like I'm using a relic from the past.

Unhelpful Content: The video lessons on MathsWatch are boring, confusing, and delivered by a monotonous robot-like voice. It feels like I'm learning from an emotionless machine rather than a real teacher. I'd prefer to watch paint dry.

Lack of Interactivity: There are no interactive elements, quizzes, or any engaging features to help students grasp mathematical concepts. It's just a passive video-watching experience. Learning mathematics requires more than just passive observation.

Poorly Organized Content: The content is poorly organized, making it difficult to find what you need. The topics are scattered randomly, and there's no logical progression from one lesson to the next.

Errors Galore: I've encountered numerous errors in the content, including incorrect solutions and explanations. How can I trust a platform that can't even get basic math right?

Subscription Nightmare: The pricing for MathsWatch is outrageous, considering the quality of the service. They push you to pay exorbitant fees for a subpar product.

Limited Support: Don't even think about getting help or support from MathsWatch. Their customer service is virtually nonexistent, and when you do reach out, it's like talking to a brick wall.

Zero Motivation: MathsWatch does absolutely nothing to motivate students. There's no gamification, no rewards, and no encouragement to keep going. It's a recipe for boredom and demotivation.

In conclusion, I would advise anyone considering MathsWatch to steer clear. It's a nightmare of a platform that does a disservice to education. Don't waste your time, money, or sanity on this abomination of a math resource. There are far better alternatives out there that actually care about helping students learn.

As a parent sat with my 11 year old who I actually pretty dam good at maths this is a soul destroying experience for both of us.. poorly written software with an algorithm that more often than not DOES NOT recognise correct answers or give you any indication of how to input correct answers.. This platform is causing more harm than good re a child's confidence & ability to learn maths in a helpful/ constructive way... Not acceptable in the 21st Century and its use should be stopped until they sort out these glaringly obviousl technical glitches out which are currently destroying my sons will power & enjoyment of maths...

For some reason some questions will give me 3 correct answers out of like 7 to pick from and now i have to try guess which one the system set as the answer even though the others are correct???

people in my school say sparx maths is worse but they are basically the same method of ancient torture. the first thing is that the videos are way too long and so many times they dont even relate to the god damn question, and that voice makes me want to slam my head into a wall until i get stage four brain cancer. what i also hate is that multiple choice questions are only able to answer once, like what happens if i accidentally click something? yeah, i cant do anything now because of their dumbass rules. lastly, i dont know what the flip they were thinking with the facts on your homework lists. mate, this a maths homework website that makes the world a worse place, i didnt sign up to learn useless stuff that will get me nowhere in life. if you have to use this, i understand your pain

The website has been improved, and you no longer have to press the plus button for things like powers or fractions.

My school has never made me use this app, as a matter of fact, I went on this website of my own free will as a human being on planet Earth, to see why the reviews for this website are so appalling. Whilst I was testing out the demo questions, I wasn't too surprised as to why the questions were getting progressively harder, as that was practically expected.
I just want to say, that the questions get so difficult to an excruciating amount, that they become literally impossible to do in any way. I could feel my life force being sucked away by the gallon for every minute that I spent trying to finish the last questions. The questions weren't mathematically difficult, but they were "show your workings" questions, of which are always marked terribly, especially by computers. I spent centuries hardcore analysing these questions trying to determine how to complete the "show your workings" boxes, only to find out that I was practically soft-locked and completely unable to progress to finish the task. This platform is heavily unbalanced, dismally programmed, and awfully designed, causing me to feel an extreme disdain towards this thoughtless and lackadaisical company.

THIS APP MAKES ME WANT TO THROW MY LAPTOP OUT OF THE WINDOW. THE VIDEOS ASSIGNED TO THE WORK AREN'T EVEN HELPFUL

Good but kind of frustrating and sometimes makes me mad. Sometimes with the crazy amount of questions and the percentages I need to get, However I guess its still better than written homework.

This a good idea but. WHY CAN'T YOU LOOK BACK!! It would help SO much and the jokes are TERRIBLE!! If you are a teacher the do not set this, it is rated bad and annoying. I rest my case.

Mathwatch is great but I wish there was a student plan for A Level students or even GCSE students so in general I wish there was a student plan. I also wish they would respond to customer service because I never received a response. So unfortunately at A Level I can’t use this website because my school no longer has mathswatch and I don’t know if they will be able to afford. But all is well.
