Please I don’t advise this app at all. It’s just sad that many people have this app on their phone but they will never know how horrible this app is until they need the customer service for issue that AI can’t even solve. I have been contacting them for ages about an issue but never responded and they used automated responses instead. I’m not going to get into the details because it just pisses me off just thinking about it. If there is an app that has a lot of similarity with WhatsApp but do let me know so I can fully switch.

They schould be ashamed of themselves.
I was banned for "Sending spam" while creating a groupschat. It takes 24 hours to appeal, but i need it for my job tomorrow!!! you cant speak to a single human, everything gives you the go around, and that for a multi million dollar company, shame on you!!

I broke my phone (damage screen - very difficult to read). So got a new one.
To move my history, they have a process where the NEW phone app scans a QR code on the OLD phone app and attempts to move the data.
I managed to get to that step once. And it failed. I don't know how I got to that step because I can't get there again.
I uninstalled it from my new phone, and loaded it again.
When starting up, it uses a TXT code to verify you.
In the process it logs you OUT of the old phone.
And the NEW phone app tells you to scan the QR code with the old phone app.
BUT THE OLD PHONE IS LOGGED OUT. And when I try to log in, it tells me the number was already used, and to wait before trying again... 7 HOURS!
When I try again, the NEW phone app is logged out.
IOW, it's doesn't let you have both apps logged in. BUT WANTS YOU TO USE ONE APP TO SCAN THE CODE FROM THE OTHER APP.
Clearly a MAJOR DEFECT by the developers who created this thing.
And after a few email exchanges with support, they no longer reply. All they did was read from the help pages anyway.
Two days in, and all my history is stuck on an old phone that I can't log in, because I'm in a 7 hour wait before it'll send me a TXT (and all it'll do is log me out of the NEW phone...)
I am posting this every place I can find.

I have also been a big fan of Whatsapp, but a recent experience really opened my eyes.

I was locked out of Whatsapp due to spam (without me doing anything wrong or spamming anyone).

Requested a review and a few hours later they lifted the ban.

After that I couldn't get into Whatsapp. It got stuck on the loading page and there's no Client services to assist.
They send you generic messages and you can't log more than one query (because I logged the spam query, I couldn't log the "whatsapp keeps loading" query).

There's no way to communicate with them.

You have a very loyal customer being very disappointed.

I can't believe this! You keep on getting logged out of your WhatsApp account just after hours of usage. And it keeps repeating everything single day for one rubbish excuse called spam. I'm sick and tired of this app. I've lost my account containing years of information stored and even when I registered a new number, the same thing reoccurs over and over again.

Las weeks my account was restricted and Lock without violating any illegal cyber rules, I sent review with immediate effect but unfortunately up to date the whatapp is not rectify. I am appealing to the management this company to please review my request in time

Totally impossible to deal with, even if you transfer everything, as you should expect to lose whole conversations.

Lost more than seven years of communications and messages.
Got a new phone in the game.Transferred everything as I was supposed to kept the contacts lost everything else.
I don't know why people keep this app.It is just a disaster , expect to lose your entire conversation whenever you get a new phone, and all your messages, and all your media. My advice would be to stay far away

unbanned but when I tried to register my number it said that I'm using unofficial app but when I clicked the link to download the official WhatsApp it lead me back to the already downloaded app.
Please fix my WhatsApp account.

For a communication App they have zero customer care communication! I am a victim of Cyber crime as my sim was swapped by Hackers who took full control of my Account. I blocked the sim swap, managed to put all the extra security measures in place yet I have been FULLY blocked out of my Business WhatsApp now and with no warning! I have lost 6 years of chats, memories and client info :( I can see my info is still saved on my icloud account but I need my old number to access the restored data! What a nightmare!!

Absolutely bunch of clowns this company. Blocked my account for no rhyme or reason and locked important family messages. Also, for business and studies I have now lost important contacts and information. Disgusting and downright scum of the earth. Cowards the lot of them as they do not even bother to answer emails. I am done with WhatsApp....

I have a tablet and a smartphone and I am allowed to use WhatsApp only on my smartphone. Stupid company ever . Why that?

We are a Organisation and use Many Whatsapp Business accounts for Our Work, What Whatsapp do is just Block our accounts or Log them out for 1 Day all our client's Thinks we are scammers because of this issue since we have to reach them on another whatsapp saying it got blocked. atleast give us a warning dont reach many clients or do not copy paste we also spend money on meta ad's and its not worth it what we're facing today our 5-10 whatsapp got blocked please fix this or give a warning that there are to many messages or adding on each we add roughly 1-5 chats and we only copy paste important things, so sort it out or we are going to shift on mail.

Last week I had my WhatsApp account hacked when someone from church phoned me ( it wasn’t the actual person, it was a fraudster) and invited me to a video conference that evening. They said they had sent me a link and asked me to read it out. That gave them access to my WhatsApp and I was locked out. They have contacted dozens of my friends asking them for money and also somehow hacked my Sendwave account and tried to send money to themselves but I blocked it .
Have reported online to WhatsApp but received nothing but automated replies from them. They have been absolutely useless. I regret ever signing up to WhatsApp, I’m SO stressed .
Two weeks after having my WhatsApp hacked they have closed my ticket and haven’t helped me although my old WhatsApp has become inactive
Never had a single message from a human being. Consequently I’ve withdrawn from social media and that’s gonna hurt Meta etc.. as they make money out of me

Please remove the intrusive Meta AI pop-up that insists on disrupting our chats. Just make it go away.

My WhatsApp account was suddenly banned without explanation. I always follow the official rules and use only the official app. I have contacted support multiple times but haven’t received a reply yet. I hope this issue can be resolved soon.

Whatsapp stole all the information from my device. Very worst poor response only mail support there. I changed to new device it's not working properly last 15 days.

Nobody came close to beating whatsapp in international calls. Stable connection, no hidden fees, which used to be a problem for me. Chatting is alright too. Like in any other messenger.

only used on pc when phone was not available, but when you try to use it, it keeps on asking to set up again. utterly useless...... having to relog after every update is just the sign of inept devs
