Shocking booking system

Shocking booking system, both by App and phone. Ridiculous that drivers are sitting waiting for fares and customers are being told there’s no taxi available. Get it sorted!!!!! Much better service before GoCars were taken over. It’s like going back to the bad old days of taxi services in Telford 30 yrs ago. Very disappointing.

Got charged 5.90 to go less than a mile…

Got charged 5.90 to go less than a mile they said it was peak time as I had the same journey the day before at 3.90 you never know how much your fayre is going to I've used this company from the start over 20 years ago but I'm afraid if they want to charge an extra £3 to do less than a mile because of peak hours good luck to them I will be going elsewhere

Didn't turn up.

Failed to turn up to take my 94 year old great aunt home from our wedding. When asked they said that they were short of drivers and they hadn't left yet. If you're that short of drivers, don't take the booking in the first place.

Customer of over 12 years

I have been a customer with A2B for over 12 years and now since new management took over the company has gone downhill. Under old management you always had a car and you always knew your fare. Now fares keep changing, cars rarely turn up, new drivers overcharging, company say they will refund the difference but never do. Majority of drivers will not pick you up if pre pay by debit card as company make the driver wait for 10 days then take 16% of fare leaving drivers short. Most of the original drivers have left. Rude unhelpful call centre staff.

Rude and could not care

Total waste of time.
Booked a cab in advance and received confirmation.
On the day in question the cab did not arrive. Called them and was told they did not have a cab in the area.

Extaution prices

Staff are always rude, no manners and drive like formula 1 car drivers, I’ve had to tell taxi drivers on multiple occasions to slow down or get off your phone whilst driving because who are they to risk my life?! This morning I got my taxi to work as usual, had to pre book the night before as it’s almost impossible to get one now, I usually pay £7/£8 for my trip, without any warning it has now gone up to almost £10 this is a complete rip off and I will NEVER be using A2B again, I am a very regular customer and I get 2 taxis a day 5 days a week if not more as I do not drive and can’t get onto public transport, first choice or any other branch will now be getting my custom thank you!

Can't even be bothered to turn up on time for wedding taxis booked 2 months in advance

Absolutely do not use this company. They literally couldn't be worse.

We booked two sets of cars for our wedding day: one to pick us up from our accommodation and take us to the ceremony, and the second to take us and our guests from the ceremony to the reception. The booking process was slow and they were often unresponsive.

The first car turned up 10 minutes after we were supposed to already be at the ceremony venue. We ended up being 40 minutes late and were lucky our wedding was still able to go ahead.

For the group booking, around half of the cars turned up. Of these, one of the drivers was very rude to our guests. The remaining half never turned up. We waited 45 minutes (this meant that our pregnant and elderly guests had to stand in the rain all that time), called the office and were hung up on, and eventually had to get Ubers at extra cost.

No response from the company to apologise or fix the situation.

The worst company ever

The worst company ever! Never trust them. At all. We booked in from Solihull to Stansted Airport and assured that we would be there at least 1 hour and 25 min before the flight. They took £160 upfront cash. The driver literally was lost and blamed the company that they gave him the wrong post code. Whenever we raised our concerns, the driver said that we would be there in a min. Alas, we were dropped there only 25 min before the flight time. We were not allowed to check in obviously. We tried to speak to the management but they hung up on us. After we missed the flight, we requested full refund and they said that it would not be possible. Cut it short, choose a professional car fleet, pay extra £10 or £20 but definitely stay away from these people!

Used this firm for years..it’s been…

Used this firm for years..it’s been exceptionally bad over the past few months, I don’t drive and use a taxi twice a week minimum. A short routine journey I do every Monday has now been upped by £2.50. They’ve put the prices up as a whole and then have upped them again for peak times. Just disgusting…tried to write a review on their Facebook page..it’s disappeared..shock

Drivers are just as pissed off with the management.

When I called up to ask why it’s down to fuel prices.

Not greedy management then no?

Booked, waited 45 mins, never dispatched.

Booked at 12:15, expected arrival at 12:30, and by then it wasn’t even dispatched. In fact it wasn’t even dispatched for another 30 mins, after which time i cancelled it and just booked an uber which arrived in 3 minutes from initial booking, and cost like a fiver less. Just don’t bother with A2B, so unreliable, i would get there quicker swimming down Birmingham’s canals.

This is my 3rd time using A2b on a Friday. All 3 times I have had the worse experience. All the times where appointments which needed to be attended on time. This friday I booked 1 day in advance to be picked up and dropped locally. Explained to the operator who booked the taxi for.12.15 pm.was told that taxi was on it's way.which never arrived. Made me miss my coach..and was no drivers available to take me to my destination. Irresponsible taxi drivers and operators that could not meet my needs .what's the need to book a taxi if they cant take u..pre booked service. And even called on time. Crap service ever.

I've used this firm for quite a few…

I've used this firm for quite a few months, and until recently all has been fine. But the last few times, I've had to wait anything up to 45mins for a taxi. I've been quoted a price but ended up paying at least £4 more. I've been taken on the motorway, despite asking otherwise. Im scared of motorways. I've even had to go into my overdraft to cover the fair. I've had drivers talking on ther phones, playing loud music, even religious stations. (Note I've no objection to people's beliefs). Just don't need to listen to it. I make the same journey twice a week, so I would say I am a regular customer. But will be looking for another firm from now on.

Absolutely Awful
Everything that can go wrong with booking a taxi regularly occurs with this sorry excuse of a service. I booked an hour and 15 minutes in advance via its app, to avoid any ques. No message was given after the very tedious wait. I then attempted to call the service, also via the app. It took three times of calling before I got into a "que".

The wait itself was a also major problem, but when I allegedly made it to the front of the call que and my turn came up, the operator seemed to be talking as quietly as possible and pretending not to hear deliberately. My phone is brand new and the volume was fully on with speaker on and the call was stable, yet it was extremely obvious they were pulling the trick of pretending to be unable to hear.

After these awkward three minutes of essentially speaking loud and clear to be heard, I was sent back into the que, despite being patient for an extra 20 minutes on top of the original hour and 15 minutes wait.

After calling a fourth time, I was told that the taxi had been booked and that it was 15 minutes away. Half an hour passed and the time for the place I wanted to go to was getting very late. Called for the fifth time, waited 15 minutes and was told basically the same thing. After a final horrendous 10 minutes I finally gave up,cancelled my attendance for my event and cancelled the taxi booking, if it were to ever happen.

Few services have done me over in such vital moments in the same fashion that this "service" did. The other several negative reviews regarding this company on various sites are not coincidental or from trolls. As well as agreeing with basically all of them, I found this company to be extremely unprofessional, unreliable, rude and tedious. Never book or use this app, which has let me down several, tedious times and will most certainly do the same to you.
