Acronis True Image Tech Support is TERRIBLE

Acronis software has lost its ability to update virus signatures and, therefore, will not back up files either. I have submitted a tech support ticket, and the first and second responses were for information that I had provided the first time. It is clear they don't even bother to read the tech support request and instead send out cookie-cutter responses. I have been waiting for three days for a response to the fatal error that Acronis True Image has encountered. I have done clean uninstalls using their cleaning executable file, followed all instructions to perfection, and still the software does not work. I am not sure why tech support cannot deal with this in a timely fashion. Needless to say, once the subscription is over, I will be going elsewhere.

Helpful and knowledgeable support

The Service Agent was both knowledgeable and helpful. As an older user I was grateful for the patience that was shown to me and clarifying of my misunderstanding of one of the features.
All of the Service Agents I have had contact with over the years I have used Acronis have demonstrated the same level of professional competence and respect.

Non IT Professional Needs Help

My project was to rationalize my inventory of backups going back to 2011, manage my hard drive and on-line capacity, and stream line my backup process going forward. Not being an IT professional made this task virtually undoable. Mridul was patient and his follow-up after each session was to-the-point, operational, and within my grasp to understand. I feel very confident about my ability to manage this process in the future.

To clarify one important point: Acronis does not offer “forever” subscriptions for current products.
What many long‑time customers have is a legacy perpetual license, which applies only to the specific version originally purchased.
These licenses do not include ongoing updates or support for newer releases.

Active technical support, fixes, and compatibility updates are provided only for currently supported versions, which today means Acronis True Image 2026, offered under the subscription model.

Verifying your license type in your Acronis account
Upgrading to a supported version if support is required
Contacting Acronis Support after upgrading so our team can assist you properly

Very good support for recovery

The work and patience for guiding me through the recovery process -- that was exactly what I needed. The number of steps required not many, but "priority support" for each step of the recovery was very helpful -- made my day :-)

Excellent Support

The current version of True Image has a problem with the scheduler. I contacted Acronis support and the support person quickly identified that the problem was with the release. He reverted to the previous release and I am functional again. I will be notified when a new release is ready. Excellent support.
