One Click Away From Convenience and Chaos

Amazon offers a vast selection of products with fast delivery, which is genuinely convenient. However, my recent experience was a bit disappointing. The product I received did not fully match the description shown online, and the return process took longer than expected. Customer support was responsive but couldn't resolve my issue on the first attempt. Overall, Amazon is reliable for everyday purchases, but quality control on third-party sellers needs serious attention. I hope they improve the verification process for listed products.

Amazon customer service is absolutely…

Amazon customer service is absolutely awful! I saw an advertisement from their website that if I sign up with my ebt card I can get prime membership with the first month free and $6 a month every month after that, so I did. They took $16.41 twice the very first month then $16.04 the second month which caused me to go into the negative. I let them know about it and they said they would issue me a refund for all 3 charges and a $50 refund for the overdraft fee! I had to call 4 different time over a course of 3 months to even get 2 of those payments back and after 3 confirmation emails saying I would receive those payments and the $50 I was told that customer service lied to me and I wouldn’t be receiving that refund. Would NOT recommend!

Amazon and PRIME are a joke. Don't fall for it.

So I just got off the phone with a supervisor who told me "Prime does not guarantee any deliveries" I was told on my delivery that it would be there between 4-8am. The only reason I ordered from AMAZON. Doesn't say ESTIMATED and the supervisor says "It doesn't guarantee either" So why did I pay for it. Their 888# is run by AI and they don't care that you were left on hold for 45 minutes trying to get in touch with a HUMAN. Exactly what the supervisor said. I told her thank you, you made up my mind CANCEL my prime everything.

IS IT ME?

IS IT ME?
I placed a simple order of Confectionery on April 3rd, with an ETA of May 3rd, and that's cool, but I noticed the payment had been taken from my account on the 9th of April, whereas I didn't think it was debited until dispatch?. Again, I'm cool with that, but I had to check it WAS Amazon, just in case.

And Amazon CS?
Wanted to give me the option to CANCEL, "as the items have not been dispatched" (kind of my point Amazon, with respect) something that would ABsoLUTEly work for Amazon, considering the great deal I got.

Yer know, I honestly feel as if I was Crystal Clear with my enquiry, but that the agent (who went off to "consult"...twice, failed to understand (for reasons best known to him) what I was asking...or did he.

SO, AMAZON
IF you ever get back to me on this, can you confirm if you now take payments way ahead of dispatch?

Not ring-fence or hold, but take.

Absolutely disgusting customer service effecting mental health

Absolutely disgusting customer service, I have had £100s of content removed from my account with no notice, and when the content became available again it’s not re added. This has been ongoing complaint for over a year, I now have an email promising a refund only for Amazon to be refusing this, I have been insulted on chat, kept on calls for hours, promised call backs that never happens, promised resolution emails that never happened. This is effecting my mental health and is by far the most disgusting customer service experience ever, absolutely no one cares and cannot deviate from a script so just ignore you.

Leen - Great Customer Advisor

Ordered an item on the 9th April. It arrived 10th April, great service. However, it was not what I thought I was ordering in terms of the amount, and what arrived could have been purchased at my local Tesco for 33% less! Brain fog on my part. Contacted Amazon CS and was handled by Leen, who so incredibly understanding, patient and professional, a true credit to Amazon. She sorted me out 100%. A reason I mainly us Amazon.

Thieves

a Package I ordered was marked as "delivered" but it never arrived. There is no "report a problem" tab on this item, so no way for me to get my money back.

This is theft at it's finest. Amazon will contact me withing 48 hours to make this right, or further action will be taken.

Amazon are scammers

Amazon are scammers, they sent a package without any item.

Upon receiving the package without the content what I ordered, Airpods, I reached out to their useless customer service.

They sent to their so called investigation team, only to inform I need to go to the police as their suspicion is the item was stolen. I have pictures of the box, which show that the box is sealed, without any tear of tape.

Amazon now wants me to file a police complaint for theft? For what, an empty package sent by Amazon? A police complaint will filed against for amazon for fraud and scamming.

a DeLonghi Magnifica Next coffee machine not fit for purpose

In mid-February I purchased a DeLonghi Magnifica Next coffee machine from Amazon. My trustworthy Nespresso coffee machines were both on the blink and it was time to invest in a new machine. My husband seemed to be favouring a bean to cup and although sceptical from my past experience I decided to go along with it. At a cost of £500 my expectations were high. The benefits were all there

Automatic grinding
High on my list was the integrated Crème latte/cappuccino frothing system,
A great variety of coffee options at the touch of the screen,
The ability to save your personal favourites,
Automatically filtered water, and
Reminders to carry out maintenance, refill water canister and empty coffee grounds.

All in one compact, space saving machine.

and, most importantly, Backed up by Amazon. What could possibly go wrong. Obviously no-one wants to buy a product and then find out it is faulty.

Being able to produce a coffee to visitors personal tastes whilst at the same time producing coffee to our individual requirements, a bonus.

My machine was delivered efficiently and as it seemed, in good working order, to my excitement, and I was anxious to experiment the different coffee options.

However, as with most things these days, there was no user manual.

Looking forward to my cappuccino I set the machine and pressed the screen setting. The result - total disappointment. My instant reaction was that I had obviously made an error but not to worry I will continue to practice.

After a few weeks I came to the decision that I was maybe doing something wrong and I would just keep practicing until I eventually got it right. In the meantime I decided to top it up with my Nespresso milk frother. Eventually I consulted my neighbour who had recommended it, only to be told she had sent her machine back because the frother wasn’t working! Alarm bells started ringing - I contacted Amazon as they had sold me the machine! My machine is approximately 5/6 weeks old.

I contacted Amazon chat to ask about returning it as it was not fit for purpose. Explained problem to agent and explained could not carry to Royal Mail having arthritis in my hands. The agent transferred me to a second agent to arrange “pick up“.

At this point the chat started to deteriorate. In all I was transferred automatically and without any explanation whatever to 8 different agents, having to repeat myself and hold on until they checked or consulted someone else, each one giving me differing information, eventually ok being told I had to take it to Royal Mail myself and I had to return it to the manufacturer for “REPAIR”. Really?!! I explained each time it was sold not fit for purpose and I could not carry it and each time I tripped through to a different agent. Amazon were not prepared to take any responsibility for product being sold by them not fit for purpose. If I had purchased elsewhere and not fit for purpose, it would have been exchanged. I told them my contract of purchase was with them and not the manufacturer. They continued to insist the return period had been exceeded. Eventually, the last agent cut me off! Fantastic customer service.

I have always had good service in the past and the customer service assistants have always been very helpful and considerate until now. The first assistant was really helpful and when I explained she said she would pass me through to someone who would arrange collection. Of course that didn’t happen
.
I then, in total exasperation, returned to my original order to check the detail, only to find that the information for return seemed to have been changed whilst I was on chat to show alternative as a repair. Apparently, even though product was delivered faulty Amazon will not take any responsibility as it is out of their return period and the only alternative is the repair o f a brand new just under £500 (expensive) coffee machine. I was appalled. Even more so when my neighbour told me how much trouble she had had trying to get the manufacturer to repair hers and that she had had exactly the same problem
-frother not working.

I use Amazon a lot for my purchases, and have done for some years, paying for prime delivery for obvious reasons. However, I will certainly think twice about buying any more expensive items in the future.

My advice to Amazon, train your staff to give correct and consistent advice to customers, whilst not passing them around from pillow to post, having to repeat the same information over and over again when it’s already there to read. Nor should they cut customers off - really bad customer service.

As no manual is provided and the machine was delivered faulty I believe Amazon was under obligation to exchange it. Who is to say that this is not a product which was returned by another customer as has happened in the past.

Incredible bureaucratic shield of denial

I'm a seller and I'm just so tired of how amazon treats sellers...I know amazon gets sales but they completely exclude the seller out of the refund process. I'm not surprised they have such a poor rating on trustpilot. There is so much bureaucracy it would make Karl Marx jump for joy. Everything is is denied and amazon assumes no accountability. Terrible company...it will implode one day!

The delivery driver in Dorset lied and didn’t hand me my package.

I received a message today saying that an item I purchased from Amazon was delivered to me today. The driver wrote that the item was handed to me but I haven’t seen a driver today and nobody has handed me a package from Amazon.
Drivers normally come to my apartment and leave items by my door if I’m not in. I’m retired so I’m normally at home. For an Amazon employee to say that they handed me an item when they never came to my door is a blatant lie.
