I have completed almost three thousand mystery shops both video and report assignments since 2016. Almost 200 of those were for Amber Arch. I have always found them to be professional, understanding and personable. I have noticed some hateful reviews which are obviously from shoppers who did not follow instructions properly. We all make mistakes and once or twice I misread the brief or had technical problems with my equipment, and on those rare occasions the staff always treated me fairly and would try to get the assignment passed by the client, where possible. As a shopper you cant expect to be paid if the client won't pay Amber Arch. As an independent contractor, you have to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY, FOLLOW THE BRIEF AND DO IT RIGHT and you will be paid. I can absolutely recommend Amber Arch if you are looking for mystery shopping work.

I have worked for Amberarch for over 12 years. I have done all types of shops for them, including report-based shops (which I rarely do as I don't like writing lengthy reports). That is the nature of report-based shops, so when I do choose them, I know what is expected. I have done audio visits and video visits, has there ever been a time when there have been issues yes, have there been times when the job has been rejected yes..and invariably it has been my error, I just suck it up and make sure I don't make the same mistake next time. I could make comparisons with other companies but that wouldn't be accurate because each company is an entity in itself, do I like it when shops are cancelled no, but firstly I am made aware in the brief that this could potentially happen and when I'm notified of this I don't want to waste my energy over something I can't control. I find the company very easy to work with, I have always been paid money due, on time. Their fees are similar to those of their competitors overall I would say they are as good if not better than most MS companies.

Hello. No complaints at all from me. Cheerful folks in the office who are keen to help and get back to me very promptly if I have any task related queries. Some tasks pay very well for the time needed. A good variety of tasks on offer. I have done over 100 tasks for Amber Arch and none have been rejected. I don't understand why some folks get upset with them as other mystery shopping companies can be really pedantic and that is not the case here. Would recommend.

I’ve worked with Amber Arch for over a year and I am extremely happy with the amount they pay for each job. I believe they are one of the highest paying mystery shopping company in the UK.
I’ve done many jobs for them over the last year and their communication has been great, even at weekends for emergencies. The charities they work with do tend to cancel last minute but this is explained clearly prior to taking the job.
I’m very grateful for the amazing work they do as a whole with a special shoutout to Pamela and Stephanie.

They always pay on time and are always available over the phone if I have any problems. Communication is excellent. Their work is varied and interesting and I get to travel a lot. I have been working with Amber Arch for a while now, and they are one of the better MSCs in my experience. They pay well - especially video work - and all my dealings with them have been good. The team is friendly, helpful, and always responsive.
Yes, some of the charity jobs may get cancelled at late notice - it has happened to me a few times - but this is VERY clear on the briefs supplied and that you need to wait until a certain time until you can be sure that the site is staffed that day.

Well paid assignments, easy to follow briefs, with great shopper support. Someone is always available to answer the phone if I have question or need support, which in my book is invaluable! They look after you well when things don’t go to plan and make you’re compensated for your, time, effort and travel.
Having worked with Stephanie and the team for many years now I can 100% recommend them.

I have worked with Amber Arch for some years now and have slowly built up a good working relationship with the staff (Steph, Pam, Rachael). Sometimes I have had a gig whereby the clients' staff have not been present but the guys in the office have not been informed. This is of course frustrating but cannot be blamed on the staff. Sometimes, I'll call the office and you can tell that the staff are under pressure, the key advice here is not to take it personally.
The pay has improved and I like that they have managed to change the report structure when you do a video survey which means that all you have to do is just confirm that you have managed to video the survey. Fabby! The only (minor) gripe I have is that we have to use the WeTransfer for the video uploads but I have been informed that the company are working on the possibility of using a different mode of upload.
You now get paid a lot quicker; when I first started with AA, you had to wait from 6 -8 weeks once you had completed the survey. What I do not understand is why some shoppers apply for a job and know that they are expected to submit the report that day but the staff still have to chase after the shopper for the survey. I have found that if you explain there may be a delay in submission the staff are happy to assist. I think the point here is; that when you apply you cannot guarantee that you will always get the survey but the more you apply the more the staff become aware that you are keen to work. Happy shopping guys!

My experience working with Amber Arch this year has been excellent.
Assignments are varied and interesting and well communicated.The website is easy to navigate and instructions are clear for each assignment.
The staff communicate promptly in a friendly and engaging manner.I feel genuinely appreciated for my efforts.
I have been able to schedule tasks easily into my spare time.
When issues on an assignment have arisen it has been easy to seek further advice via telephone.
Payments are issued on a regular basis at least once a month and the website allows you to see what tasks a payment is made up from.
You are made to feel that you are working alongside Amber Arch in worthwhile tasks that change organisations for the better

I think it's worth noting that being a mystery shopper isn't a full time job (not for most people anyway). On the odd occasion I have put my name down for a shop they have always been very prompt in replying and more often than not with a positive allocation. Steph and Pamela deserve a special mention. They are very efficient, on hand to answer queries and provide guidance where needed. Most importantly of all they are friendly and courteous.
