It frequently will not allow you to print from DuckDuckGo browser and other ones besides the main 3. I could find no work around and got no help from Avast. There's no rhyme or reason to me as to when it will and won't allow printing. It's got other issues too, especially the incessant pop ups trying to force you to upgrade. I uninstalled it.

I keep having adds Pop up with everything until I got your app.

I used Avast’s free version for a while and initially all went well with regular scans etc computer remained quick and very happy. After a period of time however you receive more and more pop ups telling you your computers has issues and you need to subscribe etc. Then Avast has made my computer go slower and slower with its start up process which you can’t disable. I did pay extra and I have noticed absolutely no difference other than my computer being almost unusable now it’s so slow. Task manager shows lots of Avast programs using up memory. Be warned. You will get fed up of the constant adverts, constant cpu wastage from this product. I am now considering getting a new computer as mine is so awful. I will never ever go any where near this product.

Firstly, every time I am so unfortunate as to open my OWN PC , I am instantly bombarded with endless pop-up adverts for an I app already own! These pop-ups have been cursed with the smallest x button ever witnessed. After I have finally managed to close the forsaken advertisements, I am met with the ear-piercing, blood-curdling whine of my laptops fan as it grinds away, helplessly attempting to cool my CPU- OF WHICH AVAST AND ITS MILLIONS OF SUB APPLICATIONS TAKE 80% OF AND ALL MY RAM! Avast is advertised as an antivirus but don't listen, this is a trojan horse as Avast infiltrates your computer and tears it down from within. Don't make the mistake I did and download this god awful app. Avast is the real virus.

I get Avast fake subscription reminders in my Emails, Avast sponsored shortcut on my Firefox page, my 90y dad got charged by them unknowingly for a year. Avast and Norton belong to the same US company and are both useless bloatware that significantly slow down computers, and as far as I'm concerned, are at best SPYWARE.
You don't need it, just don't connect your PC to online services, or a couple very trusted one only, navigate with care, reject all cookies, close pop ups, keep your data offline.

Well I have been Using Avast Anti Virus/Ultimate for 15 years or there a bouts. In the beginning we had ANTI VIRUS, designed to stop all attempts and hacking and other wise screwing with our computers. Now every year or so for the last 5 YOU have stripped away a part of the original ANTI VIRUS into subsections in order to sell more product...VPN, Anti track, anti this, anti that all at an EXTRA COST! I am getting tired of the Bullshit. And then let me tell you about the ANNOYING AS HELL POP UPS every time I switch browsers, there you are trying to sell me some thing, YOU DO UNDERSTAND that one of the things the original did was stop the damn pop ups! right!!!!! AND YET HERE WE ARE. I going to get a new machine here shortly and I don't think Avast will a part of the new program for those very reasons listed. STOP ANNOYING ME and Stop trying to sell me chit I should already have in the Avast Ultimate Package, but I don't because you took it out!

Too much advertising, constant pop-ups that nobody wants. There are repeated notifications claiming that something has expired, even though it was never ordered, just to give the impression that something is missing. Even while writing this review, the program interrupted me three times with ads and information I’m not interested in.

⭐ My experience with Avast Premium + VPN

I’ve been using Avast Premium Security with VPN since 2017, and over the years it has proven to be a solid and reliable choice. I wasn’t looking for anything overly complicated — just something that works in the background and doesn’t need constant attention — and Avast does exactly that.

The program runs quietly in the background and doesn’t annoy me with unnecessary pop-ups. It steps in only when something looks suspicious, and it has blocked a few shady websites and potential threats for me over the years.

I mainly use the VPN on public Wi-Fi, like in cafés, hotels, or while traveling. The connection is stable and fast enough for everyday things like browsing, email, or watching videos. Any slowdown is minimal and usually not noticeable. I don’t expect full anonymity, but for basic privacy and security, it does the job well.

One feature I didn’t think I’d use much is the Driver Updater, but it turned out to be really handy. Instead of searching for drivers myself, Avast keeps an eye on them and lets me update everything with just a few clicks. Since using it, my system feels more stable, especially when it comes to graphics and sound.

Overall, Avast is easy to use and straightforward. Updates run automatically, and I don’t have to dig through settings to keep things working properly. Even if you’re not very technical, it’s simple enough to handle.

⭐ Final thoughts
For me, Avast Premium with VPN is a good everyday security solution. It’s not a hardcore tool for power users, but it’s reliable, low-maintenance, and does what it’s supposed to do. If you want solid protection without having to think about it all the time, Avast is a good choice.

too many pop ups trying to sell you stuff

The auto renewal came before I received notification of the subscription running out. It also auto renews a full month before the subscription runs out. So I'm not sure if I'm paying for 11 months worth.
So many pop-ups.
So many add-ons that you have to subscribe to.
Confusing as I seem to have 2 Avasts running.
On the Plus side: When I complained about this, I was offered a refund or extended coverage.

I think Avast does a great job of securing your account and defending against dangerous websites and potential virusses. I love how many options and different features it has! The only downside is that they always show pop-ups and/or ads if the subscriptions you don't have and I think you don't need to pressure the people to get every single avast-item.

A lot of ads, more pop-up advertising and unnecessary pigs

My son was trying to install a browser extension he has on his phone on my phone. The specific one he owed wasn't available or compatible with my phone and he used a different one from the same company. My phone IMMIDIATELY started doing XXX pop-ups every couple of seconds. He immidiately deleted everything but the damage was done. I downloaded and installed two other highly recommended virus detectors and removers. The first one didn't do anything. The second one I paid for the premium and it detetected, found and removed "everything". I thought it was all good d hours later the pop ups started again. I rescanned and nothing was found. I finally found Avast and did a scan and was thrilled to see all of the hidden files that had the same name that the 2nd app had discovered some of but not all. They were easy to remove and my phone was back to normal. I really trust my phone and all of ours contents worth Avast. I was 🤏to a factory reset and so embarrassed when trying to show anything on my phone to anyone else.

The problem is the constant pop-up ads even for products I already have, can't find a way to stop them.

There's too many sales/upgrade pop-ups ads in the app and there's no way to shut them off (even in the paid version). They make it look like something is wrong to get you to buy more products!! I don't need a VPN, or disk cleaning. and there's no way to make it stop. I paid for this, and i can't shut those alerts off!!! I'm done!!

Avast is a perfectly functional Anti-virus for protecting your computer, however in all other respects it is massively disappointing.
Firstly the pop ups, i am a paying user with a subscription, and yet every time i turn my computer on i get pop ups trying to upsell me on other subscriptions. Using predatory scaremongering tactics to make me believe i am more exposed to bad actors than i actually am.
Secondly, what has prompted me to leave this review, is that should you choose to take them up on another service (for me the premium clean up) it may tank your computer’s performance. Avast premium clean up is using so much of my computer’s 16GB memory i can hardly open task manager to identify the problem. I have promptly cancelled my subscription and uninstalled.
When my current subscription has elapsed i will not being renewing any service with avast.
