Avast Reviews 

I don't know how well the protection performs, probably well as I haven't had any severe problems, but I sure am tired of all the pop up ads they send out. Disrupts me from tasks, more often than not when I have something to do that is time sensitive.

You asked for more info and trust pilot asked for a reference number but I haven't received one. This has been an ongoing problem sin e I started with Avast and was made worse with VPN. I would think it would protect my privacy with a banking site, not restrict me from using it. I have made a previous review and your response was to tell me to block my pop ups. Not helpful and this doesn't appear to help either. Editing this was the only way I could think of to get it to you. 6 12 25 I'm pretty sure this product works well, however, it's hard to know what you have since it's sold in bits and pieces. You need to make it simple so that those of us who aren't as technically saavy, know what they have. I think I have coverage of privacy with VPN and then I get another ad/request for something else that seemingly deals with the same thing. I've had trouble with VPN. It won't allow me on to a banking site that I need to use so I can't actually view my account. Any dealings have to be by phone and I can't actually see what is there history wise. This problem started with VPN. It seems like I'm always paying for something to Avast. It would be nice to see a log of what I have and where I'm at with an email from the company. Is that asking for too much? I as a consumer, don't think it is. Thank you.

Constant nagging to write reviews, and no ability to shut it off. notifications are annoying, they pop up even when everything is set to be off.

The product is great, but Avast is too intrusive. After updates, I always have to remove it from my desktop. If I don't already have it on the desktop before it updates, it should not go onto the desktop afterwards. Also, I am constantly bombarded with attempts to get me to subscribe to other Avast products. It is beyond annoying. The software is constantly popping up or asking about additional subscriptions, even after I've said no or x'ed out time after time. If Avast would respect users' choices and stop intruding when asked not to, the Avast experience would be awesome. It would make sense to offer a choice to either completely stop a request or allow it to ask at a later time, but it just intrudes at the most inopportune times. I can't remember what it was attempting to sell, but at one time every time I opened a browser window there was an Avast marketing pop up. Even if I had just said no, if I opened another window there was the pop up again. If I opened 5 windows in 60 seconds, I got 5 marketing pop ups in 60 seconds. It's ridiculous. When I'm trying to work it's extremely annoying to constantly get marketing messages popping up. The only reason I'm still with Avast is because I haven't had time to research other options.

A good antivirus in my opinion! I bought the premium somewhere around 2023... It blocks most of "fake" websites, checks if the executable is good or not... Only problem is, if you only bought the premium antivirus it'd show pop-ups to buy other software from them like their VPN, Cleaning program, etc...

So many pop ups you are the most anoying company in the world. I bought evereything and you still píss my ass.

This software constantly shows alarming pop-ups with little to no real basis, clearly aimed at pushing users toward buying a paid version. While sadly not uncommon in the industry, the approach here feels especially aggressive and borderline deceptive. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

The ways Avast has helped me, even in its free version, are vast. Although I sometimes get annoyed by some of the pop-ups, it's still one of, if not my favorite, applications on my PC and phone.

when something triggers avast will give you a pop up of a sus file that is put in "Quarantine" so pretty much it check id's of files like a bouncer and puts odd ones away for you to manually check. sometimes it will trigger on a normal file like a steam update or game launcher but just make exception and it will ignore that one file... VERY helpful for sketchy new websites using for 3-4 years now and this in on the free package. this and windows defender is all you really need for the average web user\gamer

Avast ist very slow and resource consuming AV. Not very good for cleaning adWare. The safe pay mode is good, safe browser is quite good too. It would be fine if Avast would stop spamming its customer with pop up commercials disguised as "safety recommendations".

Woe fully spams you to buy "extras." It used to be good, but AVAST Premium is anything but that. It's basically a free version for a subscription. You get constantly bombarded with annoying pop-ups to buy extra features that, in all honesty, are included in other rival products.

Other antivirus providers do not spend so much time bombarding you with "offers" which should be included in their "Premium" product, save your money, and get a different antivirus provider

There are constant pop ups to by more products!!!!
Also sonme times after a Avast update the browsers run slow and I am forced to get one of your techs on to correct it.

Far too many pop-up adverts
Every day and, seemingly every couple of hours, there another "opportunity" to spend more money with Avast. "This isn't secure... that isn't secure... spend, spend, spend... or the baddies will get you!" It used to be that anti-virus software had one job to do: protect the client and his/her computer. Now it's more like Mafia fire insurance, or protection money. The baddies may not hold you to ransom, but Avast will! I've been using Avast since 2003 and I trust it to do a good job of preventing virus infection - but I wish they had a reasonable tarrif scheme which was upfront rather than: "Just another $20 here, sir, and you'll be safe... just another $30 here, sir, and you'll be safe...". Just provide a bullet proof service for a decent sum of money. Stop constantly up-selling. Because, the truth is, if your client's aren't protected from the very start, and you just incrementally increase your prices, then you aren't really serving the customer's needs, your are serving your own.

I am not computer savvy so all I can say is that I've been using Avast since 2016, this year will be nine years and I've use it on all three of my computers and I've have not had any bad experiences with any viruses, malware, or anything that can harm any of my devices. I always use the AVAST browser with no problems and I feel secure when I go online. I also love the Ad Blocker. I don't have those annoying ads pop up when I go on a website, and you can choose to have ads run on any page you want. You can turn the Ad Blocker on or off.
The best part of being with AVAST is that sometimes I can't afford to pay for a subscription because I am retired and on a fixed income, and AVAST will let me get what I need at a lower cost. They really try to keep their prices low and I like that and that's why I have been with them for so long. They do a good job keeping your devices safe without breaking the bank. I don't think I will going anywhere else for security protection on my devices. AVAST is the best!

I don't like the way Avast consumes up to 15% of CPU power on my i7 10th Gen computer when I'm running my Adobe and Topaz photograph editing software. And there are far too many pop up advertisements with 'deals'. When I unsubscribed (rather than renew at $119) I was offered a 50% inducement to remain! I wish I'd known that tactic in previous years before I renewed at full price.

I dont whats wrong with avast, but i was streaming my whole screen, and it just straight up leaked my ip addres

Too pushy, 5 pop up windows on starting computer.

Too many pop-ups for upgrades. However....I know you're a company, and you need revenue. I would suggest less frequent pop-ups.

Besides the constant up sale pop-ups, their core service has remained reliable and kept me virus free, and my computer(s) tuned up for many years. I've been a customer since they were freeware on cnet. I use them on all my devices.

really dissruptive and made my old pc lag it was loading pop ups when booted or randomly when im doing something and those pop ups lag my pc and theres no do not disturb mode and the pop ups are ads to buy the premium but i dont want it
