Called book a locallocksmith, someone from Rainbow locksmiths turned, did the job alright but way too expensive, I was charged £853.92. They charge as much as they want.

Called up at 7am ish  (Sunday) as someone attempted to break into our house last night, lucky for us I think our very small dog disturbed them, anyway my wife and I decided to get the locks and windows beefed up for our peace of mind, I didnt get the engineers name but should of, but he did a great job today and left us with a 10% discount voucher which we will give my daughter around the corner to review her security after last nights near miss, Thank you Book A Locksmith

Absolutely scam. Reviewing this company here so no one else get scam. I was quoted £59 for a book job. They turned up looked at the lock told us it was a deadlock and will cost £160. We have no idea and agreed. less then 2 minutes the door was cut and lock broken. Which was still fine I did not care. We then got asked to pay £190. We asked why price was agreed at £160 before he cut through the door. He said again is more difficult then normal lock. We said again, he then say is VAT. was % he was using I have no idea. I refused to pay and call the office. The office then say is £180 with VAT??? no idea where they put these prices from. All made up.

Rude, unprofessional and threatening individual. Like other reviews, quoted £50 on phone and then advised £250 on arrival and threatened with bailiffs if I didn’t pay. I didn’t pay and managed to find an alternative - AA locksmiths Hounslow who have been great. I will report to trading standards and I’m so glad I didn’t hand my money to this individual

Website is totally misleading a) this company is not local to Basinstoke as claimed, they are in fact rainbow locksimths from with an 020 number on their invoice. b) they don't take cards so we had to get cash or pay by bank transfer (web site says they take cards) c) price for repairs started at £500 and some negociation ended up at £325 for not much work and changing a supposedly faulty yale and servicing the door mechanism (which I suspect was just WD40 being applied ) and d) the technician could not adjust the door alignment as he did not have the right tools. e) Web site says technician wears masks and gloves - not the guy who attended our house. One star is only awarded because the door mechanism is now operating but I have little confidence it will stay that way. AVOID.

Very misleading website, no breakdown of costs, no mention of a call out fee. I was charged £180 to have a door opened and the reason for this was because the guy needed to use a drill!
In total it cost me in excess of £300 to get the door opened and lock replaced. When I questioned the guy about the cost he told me the website stated from £49 and that it was an emergency appointment which I never requested on the initial call and was never made aware of when I spoke to company on the phone.
My advice would be - DO NOT use this website.

Called out this company rather late a few nights back as my side door got jammed whilst I was putting the bins out. The locksmith managed to get to me within 30 minutes and I was in my home in less than 10. He managed to get me inside without having to cause any damage to my door and I have arranged for him to come back next week to replace the lock. Really great service and looking forward to using you guys again. Can’t wait for a new lock that finally works 🙌🏽

As advised in the reply, i sent my invoice by email weeks ago and did not receive a response.
I was also reassured after calling on two separate occasions that I would be contacted by the manager after his return from a holiday trip, but I was not contacted either.
Furthermore, I discovered that this group of individuals has more than one website by different names, for example:'lowcosting-locksmiths.co.uk
is also the same group of people/ company
I was told this was just another website for the same company, 'book a local locksmith' which appears by a different name.

I am still waiting to be contacted in response to my complaint initiated on 17 Jan 2020.

do not use quoted £48 then couldn't fix it tried to charge 275 pounds just for a new mechanism. When we said we'd get a new door tried to double the cost. Spent 20 minutes waste of everyone's time!

The locksmith was polite and very efficient. I was advised of the best lock to enhance my security.Before any work was started, I was also
given full details of the price of the new lock & how much it would cost to fit it. I recommend this service.

Had these guys come out a couple weeks back to get all my locks upgraded as I’ve recently updated my house insurance. I had a slot booked between 1-2pm and he arrived just after one, the locksmith advised me on which locks would be best for my security and explained everything in detail. I will be highly recommending. Oliver

My boyfriend managed to lose our house keys whilst we were out in town last Saturday night, which can I add it was absolutely FREEZING. After tracing our steps back to the club we had been to and realised we were never finding our keys, we finally locked on goggle and thankfully got through to this company straight away. They were able to get out to us in just 30 minutes and we were in our apartment within the hour!! The engineer who came out was an absolute star and I can’t thank you guys enough for saving the day. All for a very reasonable price as well considering it was early hours of the morning on a Sunday. Thank you again, Safiyyah D
