I am outraged with Costco
I am outraged with Costco. A year ago, I bought a set of four new tires. A few weeks ago, I started noticing a slight loss of pressure in one of the rear tires. Yesterday, May 20, 2026, when I got home, I backed the car into my parking spot and noticed something stuck in the tire. I got closer, thinking it was just a stone, but it turned out to be a screw. Unaware that doing so could void my warranty, I removed the screw and inserted a plug. I then called Costco Tire Services and scheduled an appointment for that very same day at 7:45 PM. Upon arriving—and after the tire had been inspected—the technician informed me that he couldn't do anything, that I had voided the tire's warranty, and that he couldn't even apply a patch, despite U.S. regulations permitting it. What a disgrace for such a massive company to refuse to apply a simple patch! With the wheel already dismounted and the tire off, I—being a customer of both Costco and Sam's Club—called Sam's Club instead. They told me to bring the tire in; since I am a "Plus" member, they explained that it didn't matter if I had purchased the tire elsewhere—they would fix it to ensure it was safe, and they would even balance the wheel, all at no cost. Costco left me feeling frustrated—and, worst of all, without adequate safety for my family. After this experience, I'm better off sticking exclusively with Sam's Club.
5-Star Review
5-Star Review
I absolutely love Costco. It is one of my favorite places to shop because the quality, value, and customer service are always excellent. Whether I’m buying groceries, household items, snacks, clothing, or something for the family, I always feel like I’m getting a great deal.
What I appreciate most is the consistency. The stores are clean, organized, and fully stocked, and the employees are always helpful and professional. Costco makes shopping easy, affordable, and enjoyable.
I also love that Costco offers products I can trust, from fresh food to everyday essentials. It truly feels like a store that cares about its members. I highly recommend Costco to anyone who wants great prices, great quality, and a great shopping experience.
it was good and the whole store is just so good and fun

Terrible customer care

This review is for Costco and Dyson
This review is for Costco and Dyson. It seems folks mainly leave negatives here. I get it. I found Trust Pilot after getting ripped off twice by china based grounding sheets people.
But I’m overjoyed regarding both Costco and Dyson so I must review. First of all Costco tries to sell things that are great and very seldom they are not and I never see those things there again if they aren’t . Next, it doesn’t matter what you’re looking for, it’s always a better price at Costco plus the warranty is longer and usually comes with extra stuff. Not to mention the amazing return policy which should remove all negative feedback because if you aren’t happy with what you bought, just take it back.
Now for Dyson, I bought my first vacuum long ago. I used to buy Kenmore canisters and they were expensive but the hose would always split too soon so I went to Sears to buy another and they had a Dyson rep there showing the canister vacuums and she jumped up and down on the hose and it didn’t hurt it at all! SOLD! It was more than the Kenmore but I was sick of rebuying vacuums so I spent the money. It’s been years and it still works but of course I had to buy the cordless and a few years later the newest model etc and the only thing I’ve ever had to replace is the battery and filter after years of a full carpeted house (except for kitchen and bath) I give away my old ones to nieces and nephews still working. So I just bought the Dyson v15 detect so I can clean my real wood floors in my kitchen with it. Wow! This thing is amazing. The Shark thinks it is comparable to Dyson?? I had just vacuumed with a barely used upright (not cordless) Shark I had bought from a person for a rented space and then took the Dyson in next day and had to dump the dirt holder 3 times. And it’s true, they never lose suction. They click together easily have attachments that work well.
I also have the Dyson hair dryer and just ordered the fan.
Thank you Dyson for creating a great product every single time and thank you Costco for saving me money.
Will never again purchase an appliance from Costco…
Purchased GE Profile microwave from Costco online. Delivery and installation went smoothly. Noticed uneven heating of food items (scorched near edges, still frozen toward center), but hoped it would correct with usage. It did not, so I contacted Costco, but was told I'd missed the "cut-off" window of time during which an exchange could be made…that, per their regulations it was no longer a "Costco problem” and I must deal directly with GE Repair Services. I did. The issue persisted after multiple visits by GE technicians — even after parts were replaced. I was getting nowhere, so I turned to Costco once again for some support. Spoke with several “service supervisors” at their home/corp offices in WA (I have pages and pages of copious notes as to whom I spoke with, the topic, dates, etc). I heard sweet-talk time after time, but Costco would not budge from their stance and did absolutely NOTHING to help this 35-year Costco member. Why did I purchase the appliance from Costco in the first place? Because I’d done so in the past and never had an issue, and because Costco has always supported their customers. There are many other reputable appliance stores out there where my next purchases will be made.
Don’t trust the salesperson: get it in writing!
We purchased a TV from Costco in Mechanicsburg, PA, after we were assured the 3 different times we went to check the price that a technician would come and install it. Today, weeks later, it still sits here uninstalled!? We returned to Costco to pursue the issue. Sayek and Scott assured us a technician should have contacted us. They said they would pursue it. Sunday, Sayek called, gave me the number of the company that delivered the TV and provided the technician. He said we should call. My husband called. He was told Blake that it wasn’t happening! After a while he said he would deduct $25. from the bill! Soo, the tv still sits here!
Kudos to the customer service trainers for the training of Scott and Sayek! Never, in my 80-plus years have I dealt with two such pleasant people while being constantly lied to and, for all practical purposes, swindled by!
On December 1
On December 1, I tried to order a printer, no matter what I did on my Apple phone or my computer, which is not Apple I could not get this to work call people and customer service code 2 or three numbers. Nobody seemed to wanna help me they said they had no technical support. I was really upset because it’s a big company and I would think that they would have people out there. I was told you have no technical support in this company for a customer if they’re having a problem on the Internet, putting in the sale for a product that says Internet only so I was told to me on the phone that they could not help me, but I could go into the store and someone there would help me put this order in. I went to the store store number 357 there I met a person her name was NARDA on her tag is said customer service supervisor I explained to her the problem I was having she looked at me she said let me see what I can do to help you. We went to the computer department. They couldn’t get it to work at your 45 minutes to an hour she realized there was nothing we could do, but she promised me that she would get to the bottom of it and figure out what to do to get my printer ordered. The prom was on November 20. I was going to have surgery for cancer. I was concerned I wanted to save the money on the sale. It was $110 off. She gave me her phone number to the store also wrote down her name because I’m 70 years old and I have a hard time remembering things. She was very considerate and kind and she really went out of her way. We must’ve spent an hour and a half to two hours trying to figure things out. We tried every different way but loose and nothing seemed to work . The next day I called her back.
When I call that number, someone answered, the phone asked me a few questions. I explained what was going on. They asked me to hold on for a few minutes and they would get her a few minutes later. She came on the phone and she asked me how things were going was I able to order my printer? I told her now is still doing the same thing so she said to me I’m gonna call 800 number and talk to someone in customer service and see if they can help you so she called back and left a message because I was not able to answer the phone. I was talking to my doctor so I called back and she answered the phone. She asked me hold on for a minute. She was very polite about it. I said no problem. She said she is going to call 800 number . After she called that number and explained everything that was going on she gave me the Number 800-774-2678 to call the woman that answered the phone. Her name was CLETA. This was amazing. It took me about 10 minutes to explain everything to her and so she asked me to do a few things on my phone then my computer and we couldn’t get anything to work. This woman stayed on the phone with me for at least 45 minutes to an hour. She was not willing to give up. She was determined to help me get this printer ordered, knowing that I was gonna have surgery for cancer on May 20 and she knew how bad I wanted to get this printer before the surgery. So I could save money on the sale. If I had surgery on May 20, if anything went wrong, I might not make it back to order it after the sale was over, which is the end of May finally after all options were used up we decided the best thing to do was to sign out of my Costco app and then delete it then sign in under a different email once I did this the order went through very smoothly. I couldn’t think that two people that made my life so much easier even though there was a lot of complication they didn’t give up. I try to give her a Google review, but three4 seconds went by and there was no recording. Asked me to leave a review on how good she was so I decided that I needed to send a letter to corporate and let them know how these two employees went really out of their way to make sure that I was happy.

Perhaps someday Cost of will get computers. I believe in AI now. Should I or is that the problem
I buy just regular things grin Costco…
I buy just regular things grin Costco and stay away from electronics and other pricey items. My overall experience is good. It took me a while to get used to their self checkout machines which are different from other stores.
I do like a lot of their products, BUT
I do like a lot of their products, and the store is close by. But every time I go thru the line, I get the feeling that I'm guilty of hiding merchandise. First at checkout, the girl pre-scans my membership and all the items in the basket. then when I'm paying the cashier scans my membership again (it's like two feet between scans). When I get to the exit the person looks at my receipt and then the basket. No, I did not add stuff between the cash register and the exit! Feels like every member is a potential thief. Definitely not close to the smooth checkout at SAM's Club.
Poor Service on Laptop from Costco
Do not purchase your next laptop or computer from Costco - their warranty services suck and they do not back up the products they sell.
Purchased a Lenovo laptop computer from Costco based on my confidence in Costco’s Concierge service would take care of any problems. Within 6 months the Lenovo laptop started malfunctioning. Be warned that after 3 months of purchase, Costo will not allow returns but will insist that you have to go through a repair process. Based on my experience this can take up a lot of time and may require multiple repairs. Meanwhile you will be without your laptop - which can really hurt if you are a student or run a business.
All Costco will say is some platitude like, ‘I hear what you are going through.’
I thought Costco stood for good quality products. But it turns out that they are perfectly happy to sell you a lemon and leave you with the time and trouble to get it fixed.
Stellar service and products!
I’ve been a Costco member since September 2000, and my experience has consistently been outstanding.
My personal motto is: If Costco doesn’t have it, I probably won’t buy it—and if I do, I check Costco first. That alone speaks to the level of trust I have in their products.
The quality is always excellent, and their return policy is truly above and beyond. I’ve also had several white glove deliveries over the years, and every one of them has been seamless and professional.
Whether shopping in-store or online, I’ve always found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and customer-focused.
It’s honestly hard for me to understand the negative reviews—my experience has been nothing but positive for decades.
Just Say NO to Costco!
I left only 1 star because there wasnt an option to leave less. Costco has become just another monopoly company...high prices, no kickbacks for anyone but Executive members. I tried to get my 88 old mother in early because its hard for her to get around and they would not allow her to enter. No more allowances for seniors. Must be a Trump supported company. Personally, I save more money at the grocery store. I will not be renewing my membership.
No complaint procedure
If you have a complaint about the customer advisor then Costco's complaint procedure means you have to complain to the person whos the complain is against. The manager sides with their colleague.
You truly know about a company when you have a problem and how they deal with it.
I had a very disappointing experience with Costco customer service.
I contacted them regarding an issue with items received close to their expiry date, but the situation quickly escalated due to the way the advisor handled the call. The advisor (Jaanvi) was dismissive, unhelpful, and at times came across as rude. Instead of assisting, the tone of the conversation made us feel as though we were being treated with suspicion rather than as genuine customers.
There was also confusion around address verification, despite us clearly confirming that both billing and shipping details matched (and being able to evidence this). Rather than offering alternative ways to resolve the issue, the advisor repeatedly dismissed what we were saying.
When we tried to clarify the order number, the advisor refused to engage further without speaking to the account holder, even though no verification had been completed at that stage. This was not clearly explained and added unnecessary frustration.
More concerning was the refusal to log a formal complaint. We were told that the complaint would not be raised, and when we asked to escalate to a manager, this was also denied. I also raised a separate issue about expiry dates, which was dismissed as a “different complaint” and not recorded. The call was then terminated.
The biggest issue here is the lack of a proper complaints process. There is no clear email address or independent route to raise concerns, meaning customers are effectively required to complain to the same channel they are complaining about. That is not a transparent or fair system.
Overall, this experience fell well below the standard expected from a company of this size. I hope Costco reviews both the conduct of this interaction and the structure of its complaints procedure moving forward.
Bought $101 dollars of gas today
Bought $101 dollars of gas today, filled my truck and 4 cans.
I wasn’t aware that you aren’t allowed to fill them in the bed of the truck.
I was almost done when Joe came over and harassed me I ask him to leave me alone, he then threatened me with being barred from the store.
Joe then proceeded to print a copy of my receipt, I demanded it back.
He was lecturing me on gas pumping safety while walking around with an electric blower.
Costco - Rusty Road south St. Louis
While in the process of leaving
While in the process of leaving, with receipts in hand, we handed our receipts to the checker at the door. A bald man named Charlie was on a power trip and held us in the building for well over 20 minutes, not allowing us to leave. Despite verifying one of our two carts and checking off everything from the receipt, and telling us that cart was good to go, he then told us to bring the already verified cart back or else we couldn’t leave. All of these items were purchased in front of his supervisor and fully paid for and verified. This man was sitting there yelling at me about the situation while we had already paid. This was insanely unprofessional, and even after the manager came over and fixed the situation, he reverified everything and still tried to hold us there to lecture us on his rules for the door and leaving. This was the most unprofessional, judgmental, and biased experience I’ve ever dealt with.
I have been on the phone with warranty…
I have been on the phone with warranty and appliance
I have been on the phone for 35 minutes and I still have no resolution yet. I am currently on hold for a least 10 Minutes and still nothing. I really think that if this oven does not have a recall, I am just going to bring it back for a refund.
