Long delays, untrusty tracking services

I have a registered mail from Belgium stopped.
I have a normal mail from Netherlands stopped since 3 days ago.
Both are normal letters, no packages.
On the tracking of the Belgium and Netherlands Post, both have arrived country of destination, and don't move since than.
Contacted CTT by phone to ask what's happening.
They told me letters are on the way. I've asked if they came by plane. Yes. I asked how is it possible for a letter to be flying since 3 days ago.
They told me they don't know.
I asked normal delivery times for international post: 3 days to deliver. I asked to receive: they don't know.
The situation is so catastrophic they thrust international posts to deliver portuguese post, but they don't even know their own delays.
Completely disaster. A complete shame.

Incompetence, useless, pain

Incompetence, useless, should be banned to operate. Problem on every delivery that ends in their hands, most will end with them trying to rip your pockets.
Use them comes expensive, time consuming, mentally and physically grueling.
There is a very high chance that If you finally get your parcel or mail you don’t need it anymore or you are already in trouble for items that have specific date.
My last experience still not sorted. Still waiting for it.
Just avoid them at all costs. Unfortunately sometimes it gets in their hands and there’s nothing you can do, rather than not send anything at all.

Customs processing charges are exorbitant

I ordered a book from the UK.
Used the web service to provide the documents.
I was charged:
2.08 Euros import duty +
12 Euros (!) for their customs processing charge.
They were previously charging 5 Euros, which I thought was excessive. I guess they realise that they can charge anything they like.
It is classic monopolistic practice.
How can this be justified?

Nb: I also made a formal complaint to CTT’s regulatory body

Thieves

Absolutely ridiculous, there is a parcel coming in, that I have already payed tax, and now its stuck on customs, and they want to force me into paying tax one more time in order to reclaim it, plus the price to retrieve it. Absolutely thieving scum of a company

At home all day

At home all day, i get wrong post for another address delivered. Yet they send back my electric bill to EDP.
So EDP send me an email saying CTT returned it. Do i want to use another address.

Your workers need to do the actual job they are paid to do. Deliver the mail to the correct address, stop posting other peoples mail in my mail box.

The staff are very poor and do what they want, when they want. They all should be fired, this is not the 1960's.

In Portugal using a VPN online.

I'm totally dissatisfied with CTT in…

I'm totally dissatisfied with CTT in Portugal. While ordering anything with CTT delivery - every time a nightmare. The timeslot is a day, so you have to stay the whole day at home. If you're out for 5 mins and they come - they don't call you, just go away immediately with a note. There's no phone# to catch the courier on the way back. Sometimes they don't deliver on the signed day (what if you have an urgent order) - they don't care, wait and stay at home another whole day.

One of the worst brands in Portugal

One of the worst brands in Portugal. They were given a monopoly by the state and have only invested in creating fake customer care. A sham of a company. They lost a package of mine and lied about what happened.

When i demonstrated WITH PROOF that their reply was fake they did nothing and repeated the same fake answer

Ring the bell and gone in 60seconds

I had an incoming Amazon parcel, stood at home to receive it.
11:25 rings my door, I grab my keys and my jacket to go receive it.
11:26 there is no1 already at the front door and the package is marked w/ absent.
They don't even try to call the phone number on the package, it's a joke. If you don't want to work, that's fine, but give the spot to someone who does want.
It's unreal, the amount of unprofessionalism.
The delivery girl could not wait, nothing more than 60sec. Are the Portuguese workers on CTT paid by the delivery?

Such an awful service, nonsense.

Absolutely horrendous

Absolutely horrendous, they can't give you an answer to where your package is and you get the scripted 'there is a delay' message.

First time you call, they say 3 days, three days later, its 10 days, 10 days later, they have no clue as if it just disappeared into thin air.

I am certain that nobody within CTT has any idea of what they are doing.

DO NOT USE! Save yourself the headache and the money.

this company is a joke

this company is a joke.
how can they be so bad?
im waiting home, not going to the office because of that package. This driver calls for 1 sec on my phone changed the status to not deliverable. I was checking my camera at the front door. This guy wasnt even around my area.

I don't want to give CTT one star

I don't want to give CTT one star; it doesn't deserve even 1 star. I've had so many issues with CTT, by far the worse posting service - I've lived in so many places and never have I experienced so much complication and paperwork. It is ridiculous. My biggest frustration is sending parcels to family and friends. First, I don't understand why I am sending a gift without their knowledge, and they have to pay customs tax to pick it up, and it's never a straightforward service. I sent a handmade, the lightest gift to my mum for Xmas. She tried to clear it online, and the whole experience was pathetic. It's now been sent back to my former New York address, and I no longer live there. I sent a similar package, heavier, larger, to Germany - it was delivered to my in-law's address, no need to pay any customs tax. Easy. Portuguese people have it already hard and it's so shameful that a state-owned posting service adds another layer of difficulty to their lives.

Zero star ,

Zero star ,
it showig genreal attiude lazy , just want to robe you from your mona.
The customs clearance is now charging 5 + VAT, white is robbery.
I have some small parcels of VAT value less than 1 euro, but for no reason (many for flowers express and without any issue service) they charge 500% of service charge for what?
avoid as you can .
They just made business by robbing people.

I would give them 0 stars if possible!

They delivered a Christmas present I bought to the wrong address and can't come up with any answers and possible solutions for the case. They take 0 responsibility and the terrible customer service have no clue about the company conduct.

They only come up with generic sentences like: "Each case is a case and you'll have to wait to see what kind of case your case is" without giving a prospect of time for solving or possible solutions even you put some "case" as an exhample

The worst thing about my country

The worst thing about my country. Items are never delivered due to the lies that are covered in detail here. The truth is lazy probably overworked and underpaid staff. The problem is systemic.

How to get important documents delivered when the postal service is incompetent, it is an unsolvable problem. CTT should be nationalised or hit with heavy fines/ independent oversight.

Business struggles in Portugal because of this and is why we can only attract nomads and not serious enterprise.

Absolutely useless and incompetent…

Absolutely useless and incompetent staff. Over 3 orders that have been unsuccessfully delivered. They don't even have the decency to call your provided cell number to explain the reason. I've had staff put the phone down in my ear, mid conversation, for no reason whatsoever. Every other courier I've dealt with has had no problems delivering my parcels, without difficulty. CTT is a GARBAGE courier company.

Lies and incompetence.

Not for the first time.... I paid extra to ensure delivery on Monday. I waited all day. At 1620hrs the van came, turned around at the top of my driveway and drove off. I then had a text to say they would try again tomorrow as there was no reply. My security camera footage shows the driver made no attempt to come to the house. The following day I get a message at 1700 saying they cannot deliver today. No reason given. The standard of service is appalling. The item I am waiting for is a necessity for my work, and thanks to CTT I have lost 2 days (so far) as a result. Shambolic.
