Tried to deliver my package I was not…

Tried to deliver my package I was not there to receive it. Told them to try again tomorrow, suddenly see that my address was supposedly incorrect when it was right and that’s why they were unable to deliver it to me. Changed the delivery to loja ctt so it’ll be easier, still haven’t gotten the confirmation if they are going to deliver it there or again to my house. Called the customer service, they tried to tell me that my address was incorrect which it wasn’t told them I changed the delivery address just to play it save they just told me yeah the confirmation should come in few hours. And there could be a possibility they’ll ship it back to the sender like what. Still haven’t received it and on the website my package says n/a??? I paid for the alternative shipping option now it’s just saying n/a. I’m confused why don’t they reassure their customers. I will update if I will receive but all this stress for a package….

Support is just a chatbot, don't waste your time

Horrible company, just doesn't give you any information about the status of your package, and you can't even contact them! Chat? You can only choose from the options the Chat Bot gives you. Whatsapp? Same as Chatbot, but gives you the chance of talking to a person and... Nobody replies to you!
They say there's something 'wrong' with the provided address, but it's completely fine. I'm wondering WHY they can't find it but ALL the other delivery companies can. Just a waste of time and life.
I'm still expecting for my package (1 week by now), let's see if it'll arrive someday in the future.

I had a very bad experience with CTT…

I had a very bad experience with CTT FATIMA. I sent a registered letter to Canada and 1 month letter, it still didn't arrive. The registered letter got lost somewhere. This is unacceptable. Also for a city that welcomes people from all over the world, nobody speaks neither basic English nor French. I do not trust Correiios de Portugal. Do they just throw away your mail or what ? Also they are closed on Saturday which is not convenient either. They keep on delivering mail in the wrong mail box and long after the previous tenant has moved out. This is a very badly managed national company !!! I do not recommend it to anyone.

Más práticas, atendimento ao cliente ainda pior. EVITAR!!!

TL;DR = 🤮 I will write this in English as I don't speak Portuguese, but will add a Google Translation below so everyone can understand. // 🇵🇹 Resumindo: 🤮

I've spent two full days at home literally by the house/gate waiting for my packages to be delivered, no one ever showed up and next thing I know, the status on the tracking website says: "Impossible to deliver – delivery address incorrect". The address is obviously correct as I receive other packages all the time. But the worst part is that no one will pick up the phone and explain what next steps can be taken to retrieve this package. Poor practices, even poorer customer service. Wasting days and money for nothing. AVOID!!!!!

🇵🇹 Passei dois dias inteiros em casa literalmente junta à porta de casa à espera que as minhas encomendas fossem entregues. Nunca ninguém apareceu e quando dei por mim, o estado no site de rastreio dizia: "Impossível entregar - endereço de entrega incorreto". É óbvio que o endereço está correto, pois recebo sempre outras encomendas. Mas o pior é que é IMPOSSÍVEL entrar em contacto com um ser humano para perceber quais os próximos passos a dar para recuperar esta encomenda. Más práticas, atendimento ao cliente ainda pior. Desperdiçando dias e dinheiro para nada. EVITAR!!!!!

Normal 'portuguese' service

Normal 'portuguese' service: they'll make you wait, will give you false\incorrect or no information and at the end result will be minus zero. If you won't get your parcel - totally fine, if your sender won't get parcel back - perfectly normal, they don't give a sh.t bcs you can't do anything.
Try to avoid at all costs. Which is hard because they are a monopolists.

Avoid like fire - worst customs experience ever

My package has been accidentally redirected through UK which landed it in customs with CTT.

I couldn't pay for the customs because CTT's online process of payments is essentially broken. The support is a joke, don't expect them to help.

As a result, the process has expired. The package has been kept hostage for 2 months now. When trying to contact CTT asking to return it, I get dismissive messages back saying that "there is no deadline".

I consider the package to be basically gone by now. It's impossible extract any help from CTT, they don't care at all.

Worst experience ever. If you're ordering anything from abroad, try to redirect it through Spain or any other European country so it doesn't en up in the hands of CTT.

Again, avoid them like fire.

Customs clearance

I had a package of a book sent a second time. A gift. No commercial value. From the author himself sent to me twice!! The customs clearance process is totally not intuitive. The bots dont help. I tried calling the useless helpline. I sent requests by mail for assistance. I sent feedback. NOTHING! NADA! what a disaster. Now my gift is returned AGAIN! Second re:# RC757459288SG. Needless to say my experience has been very very stressful and upsetting. Avoid using CTT Portugal. Total waste of time.

Zero stars

Zero stars. They stole my box after hiking Camino Portuguese. All my memories GONE. Specialty items GONE. TERRIBLE customer service. 12 calls, 100$ in call fees, prepaid postage Gone. I know where it was stolen because I tracked it until they cut off the tracker. Will NOT return to Portugal. Shame shame shame.

Solving problems from a previous company

I ordered an item online but had a few issues with the delivery because a middle company decided re-label the package, but not copy the whole address. Thank you to the CTT mailman that noticed it and lifted the bad label to read the original. Great service.

CTT are a horror show

On the Thursday I ordered an item online. CTT sent me an email with a tracking number and an expected day of delivery being Friday. They don't give a time slot, so you have to wait in all day. At 14:00 my phone rings. When I answer, the caller hangs up. Then my tracking status changes to No delivery: Recipient did not answer. I call the number back and they hang up. Five more times I call and they never pick up. CTT didn't make any attempt to deliver at my home I had to wait until Monday to pick up my item in town at a CTT collection point. The package shows a signed stamp indicating non delivery as of 13:40 of the Friday. The phone call to me at 14:00 was obviously so they could say they tried. This is a terrible service and the delivery personnel are not honest towards the customer. That Friday I also received a letter from CTT informing me that a package I posted in September 2022 and that was returned from its German destination had had two attempted deliveries at my home in January 2023 (not true as CTT never attempted delivery at my home in January 2023) and was now at the Dead Item Warehouse in Lisbon. They were requesting I pay for a delivery otherwise they will sell the item off at auction. Yet another example of dishonesty towards the customer. CTT are a horror show, avoid at all costs if you actually want something delivered properly.

Terrible company

Terrible company. The people delivering often pretend they've tried to deliver to your house by calling you, hanging up then not answering when you try to call back. This has happened a few times. They claim they ring on the doorbell but never do.
It's down to bad management - the delivery people see they can get away with not going out to make deliveries by showing they made a phone call as evidence they tried. An easy way to avoid doing their job.

Unprofessional company

Unprofessional company, takes 2 months to let the customer, that they lost a important document. They received the returning envelope from Royal mail, in April 2023 to let us know that last week. They are using the blaming card, saying is Royal Mail that lost my wife's passport.. when I called Royal mail customer service, they confirmed to me that they returned the document to Portugal, after few days my wife called the CTT customer service, they said they are processing it. Now they are give us 42€, do you know how much cost the Passport? And the time waste. My wife, have to be off work to go to the consulate to apply for new passport.

This is a lesson learned for me and mu wife. It is our fault for believing that CTT, would deliver without any issues at all. Thank you for your bad service without quality at all.

The main issues when parcels returns to Portugal, it takes long to be processed. Last time I have sent some clothing for my wife from UK, CTT wanted me to pay €90, and said my items are coming from China.

Rubbish

I sent medicines to my father on 17 May. From England and it reached atPortugal
at custom service on 20 May the relaesd it on 30 and it's still in inward CTT Portugal. Very rubbish service and got me disappointed. I will never usthis service again

It was bad experience with a such courier company, not trusted. I’ve been ordered from sweet care pharmacy which is supposed to delivered to me on 14 March 2023, until I’m writing this complain it’s not delivered and complete 3 months since I ordered. I tried to contact customer support and they replay me with a promise to contact me for information about my delivery situation, but they didn't replay me again. 110.70€ I’ve lost because of CTT and Sweet Care Pharmacy refused to return my money back because they said it is in transit, they have to get it back to return my money.

Incredibly bad

Incredibly bad. I had bought a re-delivery to their drop off point. They "attempted a delivery" at a time the point was closed. I later got an email saying "delivery failed- addressee not available". Silly.
The other package was scheduled to be delivered "till 19:00" never came. No email.
I did not get either of the packages. They were returned to sender.

Can't track delivery and no help from customer support

Paid for tracked parcel delivery and cannot track it on the website. Customer support says that they can't help.
Delivery was supposed to arrive today, and CS tells us to "wait, the parcel should arrive on time", yet they cannot tell where the parcel is exactly.
Avoid if possible.
