A truly appalling store one that cannot even keep it’s customers data safe by using out sourced companies. I will never use you again as I have no trust in your ability of keeping my data safe.

Online shopping and CS experience
Online shopping experience and customer service are AWFUL, REALLY AWFUL.
1. My order never arrived but I got NO notification until I reached out to the CS, then they told me my order will never be shipped so I better get a refund.
2. Regarding its their fault, they promised me I will receive a digital gift card for price match with my lost, but it NEVER arrive at the time they promised.
3. When I reach out to CS AGAIN, they do nothing but just tell me to wait, when I expressed what happened and why its frustrating, their CS told me “they understand but there’s NOTHING they can do.”
I simply asked if they could check with their finance to see why my claim is delayed so long, their CS replied me with the most “professional” response as: “sure I will do that for you, I will do like a SOSPOST” .
3. And here we are, of course I got no feedback ever since, and still didn’t get my claim. And it has been 2 weeks since I ordered.
There’re way more shops and companies that secure our orders better, and with a better CS service if we are ever in need.
If you don’t wanna spend money and end up with endless back and forth with your claim, SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE.
One of the best online stores for shopping
One of the best online stores and customer service. prompt delivery and in case of problems no hassle they even took return of products out of warranty.
I have made a return and never received…
I have made a return and never received my money back
shame on you bijenkorf customer support!
I had returned a packet via postnl to bijenkorf 7 Aug, worth 380 euro. The Package status is not updated after 8 Aug. Today is 16 Oct.
Now I am demanding my money back from Bijenkorf as I have done my part . they say Article 8 paragraph 4 you are responsible for the packet getting back to us! Like I'm the logistic company!
The logistic company Postnl, doen't even investigate for me where the package is because Bijenkorf is the owner of this return.
This a scandal! Bijenkorf not only keeps my money but also probably declares damage claim for the packages. that is twice the money.
This is a scandal! shame on these managers!
I talked to the Bijenkorf Eindhoven Store customer support and they say online shop is different than store. we can't help you!
The sad part is that I have a gift card from this shop in my pocket which has 200 euros still in it.
I'm not setting foot in this shop!
Nope. Bad customer service and you have lost a client
American living in Amsterdam for a few years now. Also, I have in the city of Chicago ,worked for over 20 years between Neiman Marcus and Barney's.
Nerve-wracking every time I enter this store so I try to go in store seldomly. I needed new lingerie for a wedding in Poland and purchased nearly €500 in merch. 1 set I purchased was not needed ( new unused all tags attached) and when I pulled the receipt less than 2 weeks later ( again, I was in Poland for a wedding) I noticed I had been charged 2x for the same item.
Wow is all I can say to the customer service and not in a good way.
Will never step foot or order from this store again.
Disappointing treatment of luxury items
When ordering online from De Bijenkorf, even luxury coats from brands like MaxMara or Moncler arrive crumpled up and stuffed into a small cardboard box. There is no protective wrapping, and too often the items show stains or damage upon arrival, which is truly disappointing.
I have raised this issue with Bijenkorf multiple times, but nothing has changed. My jackets are still shipped carelessly, simply shoved into a box.
If someone responsible is reading this, I want to ask: why hasn’t this been improved?
Minus 5 stars , The Hague shop
Minus 5 stars , The Hague shop .
1 hour spent in the shop walked empty handed . Customer service is really bad, REALLY BAD , prefers to chat to each other than be present for the Customer. Personnel not informed , not up-to-date and not willing to check . In hosiery section entire personnel were chatting happily at one counter , totally ignore customers for minutes!!! Totally not impressed by employee’s way of working .
Always responsive
Always responsive - excellent customer service! My favourite online and real store experience in NL, DE and BE.
They take ages to return your money, if they ever do!
I have returned a package and have not received my money back after 3 weeks. Their customer service doesn't act. They say they need 10 working days to return money. But still did not make it after 15 working days. When I was explaining the case a woman at the customer service suddenly said: I don't hear you and hung up on me, A fake game to not to work. Its a shame for de Bijenkorf to lose its reputation over irresponsible employees.
Great deals and reliable delivery!
I’ve had only great experiences ordering from De Bijenkorf online. My orders always arrive on time, well-packed, and exactly as described.
During the sales season, their prices are even better than the official brand stores. I managed to get amazing deals on Zadig Voltaire, Jacquemus and Marc Jacobs bags, so much cheaper than anywhere else I checked.
Definitely a go-to place for shopping, especially when sales are on. Highly recommend!
Vile staff at the Cafe Cool Singel in the Bijenkorf
The woman serving drinks behind the counter of the Cool Singel Cafe within de Bijebnkorf was absolute rudeness personified. She also served up my drink and food on an obviously dirty tray covered with icing on the side. She shouldn’t be allowed near the public between her barking at people, dead eyes and bad attitude. No one visiting this allegedly high-brow store deserves this treatment from an employee who hates their job.
Better elsewhere...
In October 2022, I purchased a sauté pan from Le Creuset at De Bijenkorf. The pan came with a “LIFETIME” warranty. Recently, however, the quality of the pan has deteriorated significantly — food now sticks to it, and there are visible, unusual indentations forming in the center of the base.
I submitted a warranty claim and sent photos. Initially, I was treated politely over the phone. But shortly after, I received a very brief message from customer service offering me a €120 voucher and asking whether I wanted to accept it. That was the original purchase price of the pan. However, the same pan now costs €139 at De Bijenkorf, meaning I can no longer replace it without paying extra.
I responded politely, pointing out that the product is covered by a lifetime warranty. So in my view, either a full refund or a new replacement pan would be reasonable — and after researching it, I’m well within my rights to request this.
Despite that, I received another even shorter message, again offering only the voucher — with no explanation or engagement with my concerns. I sent another email asking for a substantive response. And guess what? It’s been a week, and I’m still waiting.
In the meantime, I contacted Le Creuset directly, but they refused to clarify what “lifetime warranty” actually means, referring me back to the retailer. Apparently, each store handles it differently, and Le Creuset won’t get involved.
So here’s my advice to anyone reading this: don’t buy from De Bijenkorf. If you’re counting on a lifetime warranty, first check with the (online) store what that actually means in practice.
DO NOT ORDER OR RETURN YOUR ONLINE ORDERS THEY WON'T REFUND YOU
I returned my debijenkorf order of 168 euros on June 7th and from June 10th the package has just been sitting with DHL's sorting center. I reached out to debijenkorf's customer support multiple times demanding my refund back only to receive this email from them "Unfortunately, we have not received the ordered product back.
In accordance with Article 8 paragraph 4 of the General Terms and Conditions of deBijenkorf.nl, the risk and burden of proof for the return shipment lies with you. If the product is lost or damaged during transport, you are responsible. Naturally, these General Terms and Conditions are part of the purchase agreement between Bijenkorf and you. For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out that this risk allocation also follows from the law.
We cannot refund an item that we have not received.
I trust that I have informed you sufficiently."
PSA: DO NOT ORDER OR RETURN YOUR ORDERS AT DEBIJENKORF!!!!!!!!! Absolutely the worst shopping experience I've had in a while and I suspect that debijenkorf is going bankrupt... You won't get your money back because you're responsible for all risks even if DHL loses the package or if debijenkorf is effing with you. I trust that I have informed you all sufficiently.
Good client oriented service
I've made an order with De Bijenkorf recently for delivering the expensive parfume. The delivery was made by Post NL, which left the parcel unattendant despite I have a setting to bring it to the local post point in case I'm not at home. As you may guess the parcel was stolen. I've reported the case to De Bijenkorf client service and the solutiuon was to refund me the costs. I was not expecting such a fast reaction and solution, which made me really happy and gain my confidence in De Bijenkorf.
So based on my offline and online communication experience with De Bijenkorf I give it a 5 stars.

Fraudulent practices?
Returned two items mid-March, logged return at Bijenkorf website, dropped package and have receipt of DHL. Inquired 4 weeks later as my refund hasn’t been transferred to my bank account. Was told items were never received in their warehouse and, at the most, I will get a 10e refund from DHL. It’s not their responsibility. What? Are you kidding me?
This has never happened with any other online purchases I returned. DHL has always delivered and I have always gotten refunded.
It seems to happen so often with Bijenkorf that I assume something ‚fishy‘ is going on. Either the items are getting sold twice (or more), which is a big win for the company, or instead of being restocked are sold cheaper somewhere else.
I would launch a big scale investigation if I were managing Bijenkorf.
I assume I can kiss my money goodbye. Will never buy from the store again, either in person or online. Trying to be upscale, but nothing better than a questionable third-world-country online shop. Bijenkorf used to have an excellent reputation. Not anymore. Shame!
I had a very frustrating experience…
I had a very frustrating experience with De Bijenkorf. I stayed home all day for my delivery, yet they claimed it was delivered — even though I received nothing. I contacted customer service multiple times asking for proof of delivery, but they gave inconsistent answers and failed to offer a proper solution.
It took me more than 10 emails, including asking for escalation and mentioning that I would leave a bad review, before they finally refunded my money. Even then, their tone implied the issue was my fault, which was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
While I eventually got a refund, the process was a hassle, and I felt unheard and disrespected as a customer. I expected much better service from a premium brand like De Bijenkorf.
Lack of supportive customer service
I recently had a frustrating experience regarding a missing delivery associated with my purchase for almost EUR 300. The company claims that my package was delivered, but they have failed to provide any details about who accepted the package or the signatory responsible for its receipt.
There is no evidence to support the claim that the package was delivered, aside from the status update. This lack of transparency is concerning, as I have not received any information regarding the actual delivery.
What is even more disappointing is that the company has indicated they will be closing the case without offering any supporting evidence/documentation or viable solution or further assistance. This approach leaves me feeling unheard and unsatisfied as a customer.
I hope Bijnkorf takes these concerns seriously and improves their communication and resolution processes in the future. Until then, I cannot recommend their services based on this experience.

De Bijenkorf Refuse Refund Despite Clear Proof of Return from PostNL and Their App
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with De Bijenkorf regarding a return. After following their return process and sending the item back via PostNL, both PostNL and the De Bijenkorf app confirmed that the return was delivered and received. However, a so-called specialist claimed they didn’t ‘physically’ receive the item without providing any evidence to support this and rudely refused my refund.
This experience was disappointing and ridiculous, especially since they admitted receipt of the return in their app and customer service via chat. Their specialist was not only unreasonable but also shockingly rude and dismissive. Many recent reviews shared similar experience. It’s a systemic failure in their return process, warehouse, and customer service.
What I found even more absurd is that after reading other reviews, it became clear that when customers do not receive their deliveries, De Bijenkorf used proof from PostNL to conclude that it was delivered. Yet, when it comes to returns, they dismiss the same proof from PostNL and claim items are not received.
I hope others can learn from my experience and avoid making the same mistake of purchasing from them. Shame on you, De Bijenkorf.

I ordered a pair of boots from Jonak…
I ordered a pair of boots from Jonak through their website. The boots are beautiful, but after one wear, they were broken. From De Bijenkorf, they were super helpful and responsive in assisting me with this issue. Also, when I ordered the boots initially, they arrived quickly, and I had good communication with them. I would order from them again; I am happy with how they handle customer service.
