Dreams??? Nightmares more like!!
Today my son and I went into Dreams at the Peel Centre for a wee wander. Not looking for a bed but having a look around to kill 15 minutes or so.
Spied a beaut of a cinema bed with surround sound, temper mattress the works...... lovely! Just getting ready to take a cheeky wee pic to send to my boyfriend when one of the sales people came over with his freshly made cup of coffee ☕️ (this is long one, grab yourself a cuppa)
my son had gone of to explore another bed but wasn't jumping around or being a nuisance. He was just being goldilocks and trying them out for comfort.
I digress........ this chap, with his coffee sat himself down on the other side of the bed and asked if I wanted to buy a bed. I said I didn't today, no. He then proceeded to TELL me that I couldn't afford said bed. I asked him how much a piece of kit like this cost. He stated it was approx £5k all in. I reassured him I could afford it, however, as I had already mentioned, I wasn't in the market for a bed. He said that they really only deal with buying customers in this shop and maybe if I told my man about the bed I could come back and buy it!!!
You imagine the temperature of my blood is rapidly rising 😳 so I asked my son to come on over as we're leaving. To which my son replies, in a minute. Mr Customer Service of the year said "no, now"!!
Keep the heid Lis, keep the heid!! I point out that this is the first time we have even crossed the door of the shop to which Mr CSOTY replies with " it might be quiet (the shop was empty bar us and his colleague sitting on another bed playing on his mobile phone) but we do only deal with paying customers in here and folk are beginning to know we are here now."
I wished him well and we left!!!
I have never been so insulted in a shop in all of my life. There is so much wrong with the whole interaction I'm sure everyone that reads it will unpick something else.
For me, the moral of this story is that I'd rather sleep on the floor than give this company a penny of my hard earned if this is the level of customer service they deliver.
Dreams??? Nightmare more like!! Can't think that Tempur Mattresses would be too enamoured to be associated with this either!!

Bought a mattress at Dumfries branch, and was well pleased with all the sales staff, who were very helpful, and knew their stuff. pleasant relaxed atmosphere added to the experience. They went to a lot of trouble to choose the correct item for us. Highly recomended

The delivery of my mattress

New Dreams bed and mattress
Although I did not use the tester for the type of mattress I required, knowing that I already used a firm mattress, I was not looking to replace with a softer mattress. The bed I purchased is extremely comfortable and since purchasing it have been sleeping right through the night.
