Ok agency. As usual, one needs to read the contract properly and not reliying in the agents word . Smooth moving in, flexible 3 months contract. Got my deposit back.

Smooth moving in, flexible 3 months contract. Got my deposit back.
An absolutely terrible experience.
An absolutely terrible experience.
- Disputed a line in the contract for a fee and foolishly believed the estate agent. He said that he'd take care of it for when we end or tenancy, and didn't change the contract.
- doesn't let you see the property unless you pay the deposit.
- lies about repairs to the house
- date on documents are wrong (kicked out two days earlier)
- charged with lost keys fees at the end of tenancy.. gave the key back to an agent (the one that kicked us out) and said he'd note that we returned it.... Liar..
- took 6 months to get the rest of the deposit back
- they're obviously fake with untruthful back stories of how awesome their properties are
- try to sweet talk you at the appointment and squeeze every penny they can from your budget
- you say your budget and they show you properties even higher
PIECES OF Cr*p
SCAM. If you have the money to legally go after them do so. The agents lie to you they will push and push for you to sign the contract without seeing the place. If you’re desperate they will take advantage. They do not give a F* about the people only the money. They have scammed people in the past. They treated me like I was worthless. Plus the f*t b*tch that moved from that company is a piece of cr*p. The manager is a little small angry man that clearly doesn’t get enough out of life so tries to ruin others. Plus he’s never there.
CROOKED BEGUM
They got what was coming for them!
To the CROOK who owned this crooked agency I say, “you are a stupid little thief”!!! You had the setup to be a flourishing agency, perfect location, amazing staff and all BUT NO!!!! you allowed GREED to get the best of u!!!!! You’re such a bloody stupid CROOK THEIF , BEGUM!!!!
SCUM DISGRACE THEIF LOWLIFE!!!!
Scam
Scam! They are closed now!! I regretted to sign the contract with them. This is my experience. I found a room near the Liverpool Street. The picture looks very good and the price I think is reasonable. However, the agent told me that I should pay a week holding deposit to lock the room. I did it. When I have viewed the room, the agent didn’t allow me to check many things. They forced me leave. However, I still sign the contract. When I moved in, I realized that is a nightmare. The window is broken and the heater is very dirty and room is full of moldy smell. So I choose to relocate. The second room is a little bit better than last one. But still have many problems. The kitchen and bathroom is rusty and smelly. The roommate is very unfriendly. The toilet block 3 times in one week. Anyway, avoid them. Now their name is Barrons. They change their name.
They may moved in BarronsLondon…
They may moved in BarronsLondon transferring tenants into the newco... Part of their sales people is there and they know about Flintons info rooms status... Nevertherless the wifi is not working for more than 5 days. Bad Service as usual (probably due to the fact their are switching the contract to the new company but they blamed the provider of course. It is never their fault). The landlord apparently didnt know about the move which is strange.

This agency it’s a scammers the worst thing a could do. Please Don’t rents with that agency, they never give you back your deposit back.
nightmare experience
Wish I could give less than zero stars for my experience at Flintons. It's a disgrace. I am absolutely disgusted with the service and management.
They blocked me from contacting them after I followed up on my complaints, rather than addressing the situation, they tried to dismiss it.
DO NOT USE this company.
The worst experience I have ever had…
The worst experience I have ever had with an agency. DO NOT USE THEM! My contract was terminated without warning and transferred to Mayfield, which was a blessing. Would recommend any other agency, just not this one. They bring a bad name to property management. Sorry for anyone who has been conned into a terrible living space by these shysters!
My daughter paid over £1500 and signed…t
My daughter paid over £1500 and signed a photograph of the room she had booked with them. The first night she arrived at the address there was no power and no hot water, plus she was shown to a completely different room. She stayed two nights for which they charged her and requested the remaining £1400+ to be refunded. She was given a receipt saying it would be refunded. This has been going on since September 2019 and after numerous visits to their office still no refund. STAY WELL AWAY!!! They are crooks, have reported them to our MP. One star is one star too many!!!
WORST AGENCY!!!!!!!!!
WORST AGENCY!!!!!!!!!
This is the worst agency you could ever deal with! Please do not make the make mistake as everyone when you arrive in London!
- They will tell you lies, never answer your emails or your calls
- The rooms are completely dirty!
- I didn't have hot water, and the heater didn't work either
- they tell you that bills are included but they are not!!!! and you cannot do anything after signing the contract
- They don't give back your deposits most of the time!!
Everyone I met had the same problem as me, so it wasn't just for my room.
If you complain? they will IGNORE YOU EVEN MORE
RESULT: DOOOOOOON'T, they are so many other ways to find rooms in London!

Deposit still not returned - *edit* Flintons now going into liquidation
Another former tenant that still has not received their deposit back, reporting in.
My tenancy ended on the 27th October, with an email from DPS saying they were closing the Deposit Protection down as the contract had come to an end.
Obtained written confirmation on the day I handed my keys back (26th October) from Flintons that my deposit would be returned within 2-5 weeks. After agreeing the amount to be returned, based on the £85 "check-out fee" I've still had nothing, after almost 7 weeks, and no satisfactory explanation after 2 visits to their office as to why my deposit hasn't been returned beyond "there were problems".
N.B. I too was one of the ones that was told the room I enquired about was unavailable, and they switched me to another place; Jawel, the rep serving me that day also wouldn't allow me to have a room viewing prior to putting down the £300 holding deposit.
In essence, don't do it to yourselves, lest you end up like one of the hundreds of people waiting for deposits/house maintenance repairs/other disappointments from Flintons.
*Edit*
3 months on from moving out, I like many today (10th Feb 2020), received contact that Flintons is going into liquidation.

Getting your deposit back
Hey everyone, I had a similar experience trying to get my deposit back, they said they would return it but didn’t, but eventually I got it back. I want to try and help people get their money back so I’m listing the things you can do to get it back:
When you pay your deposit it gets put into the Deposit Protection Service (DPS). If Flintons don’t pay you back, you can ring the DPS service to open a dispute process. This has to be done within 90 days of leaving the accommodation, and the DPS can take up to 5 days to respond so try and open the dispute as soon as possible.
If you’ve left it till after the 90 days, you can email both the Tower Hamlets Housing Advice service and also Tower Hamlets Trading Standards. This is what I did because I left it till after the 90 days and the Housing Advice service agreed to contact them for me.
You can also contact the Property Ombudsman though this might take a bit longer.
Finally you can go through the Small Claims court. You have to pay a fee (which depends on how much you are seeking, and can be found online) but if the court rules in your favour then Flintons will have to pay the fee plus interest for how many days they are late in paying you back. The housing charity Shelter have good advice on their website for going through this process.
I hope this has helped you and please feel free to reach out to me if you want more advice, as I did quite a lot of research into this.
In regards to what living there was like, it was absolutely awful. I could list many things, but to talk about it generally the property was falling apart, Flintons would often say they would fix it but never show up, and when they did they made temporary fixes. One time the place became so unlivable that I had to contact the council, as Flintons were not fixing the property. I very much hope that you everyone avoids this agency.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM FLINTONS
I would give less than one star if I could. I moved into the flat in February and found that the window was broken. It took MONTHS for them to fix it - and even then they only fixed one half of the window.
I have experienced multiple issues in trying to get my deposit back from Flintons. It has been 5 months since the end of my tenancy and I have still not received the refund of my deposit - despite the fact that I have it in writing that they have agreed to refund the money. They have told me on three separate occasions that they will refund on a certain date - each time that date comes and goes, but I still do not receive the refund of my deposit.
They now no longer respond to my emails and hang up the phone on me. I went into the office and they promised it would be paid on 3rd December but no payment was made.
I have been forced to contact a solicitor as it seems that they have no intention of paying back this money.
DO NOT USE FLINTONS!

I moved out of the flat on the 16th of September 2019 and I still haven’t got my deposit back. If anymore somehow got there’s back could you tell me how?
Shady
This company is shady and clearly seeks to take advantage of the fact that many of their customers are immigrants who don't speak English very well, and do not know their rights as tenants. The manager is rude and condescending. The state of the rooms is appalling.
