Ok agency. As usual, one needs to read the contract properly and not reliying in the agents word . Smooth moving in, flexible 3 months contract. Got my deposit back.

Do not become their client EVER

Hello, this is not to be trusted. This agency only takes money in advance, and either if you stay or not, they will not give back any money to you. Do not pay for any deposit, that is not legal.
even if you do not have budget, go to groups on fb and you will find smth, because you will pay to them and have nothing at all. Please trust this, do not become a client for them.

London's most incompetent estate agency

UPDATE: Flintons tried *yet again* to remove this review by claiming that they weren't the company I was reviewing. Proof Yet AGAIN that they're lairs. Do not trust them. Here is proof that I am indeed using them https:// imgur.com /a/ op2pE5c (I've included a screen grab showing they said it was a different company I reviewed as well as my contract proofing I am indeed a client of theirs.)

I needed a short term let while my girlfriend and I were sorting out a new place for ourselves. I found a room via the flatshare website and ended up signing a contract with them. My contract stated that I would have: internet, weekly cleaning, "white kitchen goods" such as fridge, washing machine, internet. After a month of being here I have got none of them.

Whenever you call them they repeat the same old line "we will call you back", but never do. They have refused to give us our actual landlord's name (which is illegal in the UK) and my proof of deposit is missing.

They used to be called "Citi-Side Properties" but went bankrupt after many of their clients took them to court and won. Instead of paying the court fees they simply changed their name (Google "letting-agents-abusive-practices-urgent-regulation-flat-health-hazard" to see The Guardian's article about them)

Avoid them at all costs and don't believe any fake "5 star reviews".

Be careful

Be careful, all the good opinions are payed ones.
I have been traveling around a lot in my life, and I could not imagine such scamer could exist. The agency will do all what they can to attract you, and ones you have paid, you are dead. Proprerties are too old and too dirty to be rent, you have to pay to see them. They are very rude, and they will frighten you to sue you.
However there was houcine, a real estate agent who saved me from sara which is a profesional scamer. He could not do a lot because he has no power comparing to the agency policy, but he is humain at least.
Please, for yourself, prefere sleeping as homeless than going here.

excellent service!

excellent service!
at the beginning I was uncertain about the area and the prices, after a long explanation I managed to find the right home for me. Very happy with the service offered, with very helpful agents in helping me and very clear and honest explanations. I would definitely choose them for a second adventure in London.

Good service

I rented a room with flintons a month ago and to be honest this agency is decent. What I’d like about them is they are responding well when you have problems in particular my agent Alessio.

APPALLING!! DO NOT USE FLINTONS! THEY'VE BEEN ON BBC NEWS AS A ROGUE AGENT!

APPALLING!! DO NOT USE FLINTONS! THEY'VE BEEN ON BBC NEWS AS A ROGUE AGENT!

When we arrived at the property, the condition of the flat was disgusting and we spent 2 full days cleaning, not to mention the 7 days where we were without hot water or gas.

The landlord repeatedly entered the property without the consent of the tenants. It also took 6 MONTHS to get our deposit back! I don’t know how this agency is still in business.

Lies,deceit and bad practice.

I contacted the agent on spareroom about a double bedroom in Mile End. The ad was advertised by Mary, who - after two days of texting her for more details and being ignored - responded with a request I come to their office in Mile End to discuss the room and my requirements.

On arrival, the office had a casual air about it, staff were outside smoking and exhibited low levels of professionalism.

Mary introduced me to colleague - his name was Alessio.

Alessio showed me rooms, the one I initially wanted was now unavailable and he very cleverly played on my frustration and previous bad experiences.

He showed me images of a room that seemed lovely and very subtly suggested I secure the room with a deposit.

He then ''helped'' me by putting together a payment plan to be actioned on my moving in date the coming Saturday. Under his influence, I paid almost 1,5000 pounds to secure the room and fees - all this with no viewing.

Saturday arrives and I go to pick up the keys.

Staff are hostile, demanding more money. A dispute erupts and before making any additional payments, we suggest viewing the room.

The room was one of the most horrific, dirty and damaged rooms I have seen. Nothing was as it was in the images, the furnishing were missing. It was awful.

We returned to the Mile End office and demanded a refund.

I had to chase for the refund and it arrived 1wk later.

I wish I had read the reviews before trusting the business.

For those who are reading this and are tempted to trust the agency, PLEASE DO NOT. Use openrent for private landlords or ask your friends and network for agencies they trust.

These people play on emotions and desperation and a lot of their customers are new to the area/country so have no one to turn to once they are scammed.

It really is such a cruel and unjust operation that they are running and I hope they are caught and stopped FOR GOOD.
