Completely Unreliable - Avoid

Paid deposit for installation in October 2022. Given installation date late November - no show. Rescheduled early January 2023- no show. Rescheduled late March - no show. Had more than enough from this company. Email from Solar Together London informing me that GET-UK had lost their accreditation. Cancelled the same day. Automated email stated will hear in 14 days about refund. Three weeks later - nothing. Just chased them again - and received the same automated email.
Avoid this company like the plague.

Delays, delays then nothing

Paid deposit in September 2022. Given appointment for installation of panels in Jan 2023. No scaffolding appeared so called them. Told I should've received aemail rescheduling installation to 21 March 2023. A few days before, again no scaffolding. When I called they rescheduled to 3 April 2023, citing weather delays. Then we discovered from Solar Together that GET had no MCS certification, so we emailed to cancel and get our deposit back. No sign of deposit 3 weeks later. May have left it too late to do credit card section 75 chargeback according to bank.

Shockingly bad

Shockingly bad.
Now can’t get through.
Checked companies house and they’re still trading.

They’ve gone under before, looks as if it’s about to happen again!

I WANT MY REFUND! STOP MESSING PEOPLE ABOUT!!!

They have lost their ability to trade so I wish someone would either pick up the phone or answer my email?
The one time I did get through I for a change, spoke to a very nice lady who tried to help me, when I asked for her I got told she’s gone and they hung up!!

Been on a queue for an hour!! They need to be held to account, everyone refunded what they’re owed and closed down for good before they do any more damage

Absolutely Beyond Belief in the UK Today.

This is the third time I have remained at home for a promised engineer to arrive, to complete my installation, even after receiving many text messages from JobLogic saying that the very long awaited installation will take place today no one has arrived.

Exceptionally poor communication and highly inefficient

Over two years later, we still don't have what we paid for. Each step requires repeated chasing, and each time you have to wait at length on-hold. Staff are polite, but their conclusions rarely hold true. Call-back service never works, emails are never responded to, as soon as a member of staff says someone will call me or action at a later time point, it never happens. Each step, including completing installation was eventually carried out but at great effort from me repeatedly chasing it up. Eventually, after installation as completed and the invoice paid in September, never received the MCS certificate, HIES insurance nor hand-over package despite repeatedly chasing and being promised it would be sent. Now they've lost accreditation, still not responding to emails, and worse than ever at answering calls, I'm writing this whilst on hold and have been stuck in position 3 for 15 minutes, my record is waiting on hold for 4 hours before hanging up. I called MCS and was informed that GET-UK never applied for certification for me, and now they no longer have the ability to do so. I was recommended through official channels that I would need to go through another company to complete the process for me.

Unreliable Company

I signed up to Solar Together with Warwickshire County Council in 2021. Lots of delays with initial supplier and then GET brought in late last year. Communications from them are lacking, scaffolders and engineers either don't turn up on the day or turn up unannounced. Phone calls to them take ages on hold and then the information is passed around but not followed up. System finally installed in January but worked intermittently but no MCS or HIES certificates supplied and not able to get the feed-in tariff into grid. Then the inverter packed up in March. Still no paperwork. Now they've lost their certification and I don't hold out much hope of any redress. Wish I'd used a local company where you deal with 1 or 2 people every time who are familiar with the case.

The worst company I have ever dealt…

The worst company I have ever dealt with. They don't answer the phone or emails. They don't turn up when booked to do so repeatedly. Still waiting for our solar panels to be fixed 2 years after being fitted. They are useless.

Very poor experience with GET

We joined the Solar Together London scheme in 2021 and felt safe and secure in doing so due to the support given by the Local Authority (Richmond) and the Mayor's Office. We paid the £150 deposit and GET conducted the survey in October 2021. We accepted the contract and had a scheduled start date in February 2022. In fact the work started in April wasn't commissioned until the end of August (5 months for a job we were told would take "a few days"! We are still waiting for the battery to be installed (promised for early May). Working with GET between April and August was a nightmare. Many appointments were cancelled without us being informed, trying to contact GET took hours, they often didn't return calls, a large number of different electricians and roofers appeared at different times without any appearance of overall project management. There was confusion about how many inverters were needed and how they should be wired with one electrician undoing the work of an earlier one! We often had to remind GET that aspects of the work were incomplete. Overall a complete shambles. However, unlike some reviewers, we were not asked to pay anything (other than the £150 deposit) until commissioning and we did end up with a functioning system (as yet minus battery) that exports to the grid.
I should add that most the contractors were very polite and seemed to be doing their best to progress the job.

Find another company!

Waited months on end to get a simple answer about outside battery installation to be told that I need to send the deposit first. Sent the deposit and 3 months later there was still no progress. Upon cancellation they just ignored my emails. 0/5 would not recommend

Terrible service, I want my deposit back

Following Solar Together sending leafets rond, we signed up and were informed Get-UK would be handling our solar panels and battery. We had the survey in Aug 2022 and paid a couple of thousand pounds as deposit for start of Feb 2023 installation. The day before no scaffolding so following their advice I called, rescheduled for middle March. Also told there wouldn't be a battery due to supply issues. Week and a half before that appointment I phoned again "having trouble with scaffolding company rescheduled for May". Now through the newspapers we find out Get-UK have lost their HIES licence and weren't telling their customers. Trying to cancel and get our deposit back as I don't believe they'll ever install the panels and battery.

Yet another missed appointment from GET

There should be an option on Trustpilot for zero stars. This morning an engineer should have come to complete the installation initially booked for June 2022.
Yet again, no engineer has arrived. When I phoned GET I was told the job had been cancelled and that I should have been notified. This has previously happened twice in the last few weeks.

Stress no one needs. Half day job becomes a year long nightmare

Do not use this company, without exaggeration, on pain of death, do not use this company! Our experience with them has been hellish. I don't even know where to start with the problems.

They cancelled 3 appointments for installation, 2 with absolutely no notice and just didn't turn up. There was a wait of 2 months between each appointment. One appointment was on 28th December so we had cut short our Christmas plans to be at home for the installation, that I was assured would be going ahead. They didn't turn up.

Trying to contact them is so incredibly painful. You are either on hold forever or no-one responds to your email. the only way you will get a response is to call Solar together and make you calls and complaints through them. 0800 014 8851.

I have just had a call from GET about an email I sent trying to terminate the contract, but the email was sent 6 months ago.

Trying to get out of the contract was also a no-go. Even getting the forms required so many emails and phone calls and then I was going to be charged fees for having had the roof measured.

Even after they have finished installing the solar panels I am still waiting for the bird netting and the batteries to be installed (it's only been a week since they have missed the appointment for the bird netting- without notice they say they are coming back with a battery, previous experience says they won't be here, but who knows, hell might freeze over),

Whilst we wait the scaffolding is up in front of the house which has been a joy to look at. but to add insult to injury they then start calling and emailing for the final payment, even though it isn't due until it has all been installed and the scaffolding taken away.

So now I am not only having to deal with waiting for them to finish the job I am also having to deal with harassment about money not owed to them. I had called Solar Together the day after the panels were installed after I got the first email for payment, to make sure that I was not going to get harassed for payment given that they have no finished the job. GET representative had promised they were not going to start chasing for money until the job was actually finished, but I've still received emails and calls and I had to complain again to Solar Together.

What should have been such a simple half a day job has turned into a year long saga that has required constant chasing and phone calls. No one should have to waste this much of their lives.

I hope that no-one else will be caught in this nightmare. If you have unfortunately already entered into a contract the only way you will get a response is to call Solar together and make you calls and complaints through them. 0800 014 8851

They are so awful it is something that even the mayor of London has had to address (google it!)

Couldn't organise a p**s-up in a brewery.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! All the other 1-star reviews are absolutely right.

At best, GET suffers from colossal management incompetence. At worst it's a form of long-game scam - just look at the history of the founder: the myriad of shell comapnies he's set up and Solarplicity that went bust leaving hundreds of customers out-of-pocket with similar reviews here on Trustpilot.

In our experience:
1. They don't answer any emails or snail-mails.
2. At best you spend 15 minutes in the phone queue to get through, typically you'll spend an hour, and sometimes you cannot get through all day.
3. They always say, "We'll call you back" and never do.
4. They book kit delivery, scaffold or installer visits, then repeatedly delay or simply don't turn up.
5. On the odd occasion someone does turn up, they are sub-contractors; genuine guys wanting to do a good job. But they are invariably incorrectly briefed by GET and have to leave without completing the job.
6. They promise batteries, then after many months of delays say that they've run out of stock and you won't get one after all.
7. They insist on an initial deposit (although even that was delayed!) to then not deliver anything promised.

A typical example of idiocy:
6 months late, scaffolders finally turn up. They were wrongly briefed so didn't erect in all the places required.

GET were unaware of the mix-up!! We emailed several times, and told them thrice on the phone. 5 months later, installers finally turn up: "Oh, no scaffolding - can't complete the job!"

I called GET: in our file it states, "Installation not completed due to unexpected problem with the scaffolding."
The mind truly boggles!

2.5 months after that, still no scaffolding and no installation.

We are now over a year in from agreeing the contract. We have partial scaffolding up; standing there for 6.5 months and counting.

The kicker is that GET have just lost their MCS licence (again, due to their own incompetence), which means that even if you are one of very few lucky ones who _do_ get an installation, you won't get all the certifications you need for exporting excess energy to the grid.

We sent them several formal complaints and two ultimata, in writing both by email and snail-mail. Not a peep back. So we are cancelling the contract on the grounds of negligence and will have to look for an alternative installer.

Judging by other reviews here, and the experience of Solarplicity customers, we'd have a hard time getting our deposit back. But we are "lucky" in that at least the kit and panels (no battery) were eventually delivered (10 months late, cluttering up the house and garden since then) so we can forego the deposit in return.

Avoid at all costs - eventually installed sans battery

So a follow on from my previous review now my dust has settled
They cancelled for the 3rd or 4th time in June, then after
emailing the London Mayors office, emailing the iChoosr CEO Michiel Drabbe personally and explaining the situation to them... It was eventually installed in September '22 but without a battery so they took that off the final price... then i had to nag them for a few weeks to put in a monitoring dongle so that i can see it's output since i didn't have the battery to do that for me.
I wish i never used them despite how eager i was to install solar - my install works perfectly fine but that is due to the contractors who came being really helpful and efficient.
