Never again

Travelled from MCR to Dubai. Scheduled departure at 9:15 from Manchester but actual departed at 2pm with almost 6 hours of delay. Missed my connection from Behrain. They provided me hotel which was like 3 hours to get to and than 1 hour of checking in the hotel. Literally 2 hours in hotel than had to get back to airport to get my flight.

They have done the same thing on my return flight from Dubai to Manchester.
Original flight was 2:10am from Bhrain to Manchester. But received an email just few hours before my flight that flight is changed. Now it will.be 7:20am tomorrow morning. No apology and appaling customer service. No body cares or try to listen/understand. Absolutely zero f*** given.
Atleast give me 24 hours notice so I can look for alternative!!!

This is a rubbish service. My first and last time. I will never use this Gulf Air again. Stay away from it.

On 19th March while I was getting my…

Physically THREATENED & verbally abused by Gulf Air staff ! On 19th March while I was getting my boarding pass for outbound flight the Gulf Air employee named Mr. Aundray Thomson (Mumbai airport terminal 2) demanded me to show him the return ticket to India. I politely explained to him that I usually do not buy return tickets because I am not sure what exact date I will return as it depends on my business partner availability in Russia.

I travel to Moscow every month since last 10 years so I educated him about the above regulations pertaining to Russian business multi-entry visa holders. However he did not listen and rudely declined to issue me boarding pass. Then I asked him to show me the official document from Gulf Air in which it is clearly written than Multi-entry Russian business visa holders MUST possess RETURN tickets before they are allowed to board the flight to Russia. He did not comply and went away!

He came back after 25 minutes and told me that I have talked with my senior and you can not board the flight unless you show me return ticket!
I suggested him couple of options:- 1. To contact the Russian Consulate Mumbai on 24 hour hotline number/ Aeroflot Russian State Airlines OR 2. To talk with Mumbai airport immigration officer to learn about Russian government regulations for above category of visas OR 3. To give me in writing under his signature that Gulf Air is declining boarding pass to me(Russian Multi-entry business visa holder) because I do not have a return ticket to India.

He rudely refused to do so. On the contrary he physically threatened me and abused me saying that "You will not be allowed boarding and if you argue with me and waste my time I will show you(who I am)". I got a feeling that he was going to punch me on my face. There was lot of hubris in his attitude towards me. Other co-passengers witnessing this were shocked as well. It was extremely hurting to me as a Gulf Air customer that your employee behaved so unprofessionally, incompetently and rudely!
I was made to wait for 40 minutes at the boarding pass issuing counter despite my requests to help me. So unwillingly I was forced to purchase RETURN TICKET (MOSCOW TO MUMBAI) on the spot for Rs. 42130 and comply with his illegal demand.

As usual, on arrival to Moscow when I underwent immigration procedure on 20th March Russian immigration officer did NOT even ask whether I have a return ticket or not!
So totally unnecessarily I was forced to waste Rs.42130 on return
ticket as I am not planning to return on specified dates. Even if I cancel my return ticket or change dates I will have to pay heavy cancellation fees. Due to professional incompetence of Gulf Air employee I suffered heavy financial loss and much psychological trauma and abuse. Who is going to compensate me for the financial loss incurred by me?

I wrote email to customer care but they did not even reply, already 4 weeks have gone.

Disgusting customer service and unprofessional staff. DO NOT fly by Gulf Air ever!

Disgusting customer service

Disgusting customer service. My luggage was damaged whilst in transit with Gulf air, the customer service team initially sounded like they were happy to resolve the issue. Since then I have had all my communication with them ignored, no response to emails. I would never fly with Gulf air again.

Horrible air company !!
The service on the plane is awful and I claimed about baggage damage and no answer !!! I filled the questionnaire and sent them , but no feedback !! They don’t be worried about clients satisfaction and clients must run after them to have their rights putting into practice!! Awful !! I am shame on this company !!

Appalling service from this airline

Appalling service from their customer care department who simply do not reply. They lost our luggage for a whole day for our 7 day trip to the Maldives. Ruined an event of an important holiday celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday.

I don't normally leave bad feedback like this but please be aware of Gulf Air. Worst customer service ever. Flight was a mess, denied of boarding and no reply to any of CAA's mails. no compensation. Luggage damaged no reply. Not even a single reply to any of our mails. They shouldn't operate at all just so unfair to make money by providing dreadful service.

Very poor airline. Do not use.

They changed the flight schedule two weeks before travel so that I missed my connection in Bahrain and had a 13 hour layover with 2am flight for me and my young son. No apology, I tried to get them to switch to a later daytime flight, another routing etc - but got absolutely nowhere. All the staff I spoke to to try and resolve the issue were unapologetic, dismissive, usually just passing me on to someone else and even sometimes rude.
I made a formal complaint initially but had no response.

Also the food was very mediocre and the movie selection poor.

NEVER BOOK WITH GULF AIR

I booked a flight with travelstart.de which was a gulf air fligt from Amsterdam to Abu Dhabi with transit in Istanbul and Bahrain. Turkish airlines serviced the flight from Amsterdam to instanbul on behalf of gulf air. When I got to the check-in station in Amsterdam, I was denied check-in because Turkish airlines could not find my ticket. They told me this was a common issue that day and that gulf air/travelagencies were having issues. After contacting Travelstart.de they told me there is nothing they can do. And that I can cancel my flight Pay a cancelation fine of 300$ in order to cancel the flight. Gulf air was contacted as well. They confirmed that they had issues with Turkish airlines and that as a result of that I could not check in. And then they told me there is nothing they can do for me (not book me another flight, nothing). After contacting travelstart.de since they are the agencie I booked with they assured me that they will take care of it but again emailed me twice the cancelation offer. Which is outrages. Never ever booking with travelstart.de or gulf air again.

Gulf Air -Falcon flyer - Air Miles- Fake

I recently travelled on Gulf Air and I have their Falconflyer Air Miles Card. You collect air miles every time you travel in Gulf air, I have the Gulf Air app and I also got my Blue Membership Number too, with this in mind I booked and travelled when I returned to UK after my holidays and gave my ticket number and booking reference to falcon flyer team nothing was done and no miles credited. It seems all these air miles you can gain from Gulf Air is fake, I tried several times by contacting them no use and do not trust this airlines. Just go for more reputable airlines. If Gulf Air customer service ever read my review here is the information for them my membership number 39294738. My booking reference was CQJLJQ. So you can check and see what I say is the truth.

I tried to rebook my ticket but said they can rebook exact same category ticket which was double the price for economy class as shown on their website. Firstly, they sell their tickets through scammers like gotogate.com and secondly they don't help us get to use those vouchers/open tickets. They wasted hours of our time. They have no respect for customer's time and money. They just don't care as if our money is also like money from oil and gold reserves.

I booked flights from Dublin to Kochi…

I booked flights from Dublin to Kochi with a layover in Paris and Bahrain. There was only 1 hour and 35 minutes of transit time for Paris which made our flights impossible as Gulf Air did not supply online boarding passes. After arriving in Paris, we had nowhere to collect these boarding passes as there were no agents for the company there. We could not continue to our gate as CDG airport requires a boarding pass to go through security again. As a result, we had to leave the connection area to look for a Gulf Air desk. There were none, and we were now completely stuck in Paris with no way to get to our gate. We missed our flight as a result of an impossible itinerary. We missed our following flight to Kochi as we could not make this one. One of our bags was checked onto these flights and now we will have to search for it India. After spending hours on the phone going back and forth with both companies, no one was able to help us resolve the issue. We were told countless times there is nothing that can be done. We spent over 2000 euro in good faith that these flights were possible, yet we were not supplied a boarding pass by Gulf Air and could not get one in the airport.
Both Booking.com and Gulf Air share the blame here. Booking.com should not have sold us this itinerary and Gulf Air should have supplied an online boarding pass so we could transfer through the airport. We have had to spend an additional 1480.74 on tickets with another airline as we were left stranded in Paris due to Booking.com's poor planning. We have also lost money on hotels that we booked through the site as a result of this, as well as a full day of our travel. I want to be compensated for the additional flights that we had to pay for today as well as for the night we lost in our hotel. This is the worst experience I have ever had while traveling and I will have to seek legal proceedings should the company be unable to reinburse us for this as it is of no fault of our own.

I have booked a return flight…

I have booked a return flight Lhr-Mnl-Lhr in September 2022. Our departure from LHR has been delayed for 7hrs, apparently due to a problem with the plane’s sensor, we’ll they gave us a £20 food voucher which was good. This 7-hrs delay had a domino effect with our connecting flights. I missed my connecting flight from Bahrain to Manila. The airline gave us a complimentary hotel accommodation but it us almost 3-hrs to be picked up from the airport to the hotel and more than hour to be checked in into the hotel. We almost have a 24-hrs delay till our flight Bahrain to Mnl. So I missed my domestic flight to my destination. When I got back from the Philippines, I sent an email to Gulf Air regarding compensation but nothing has been done about it. It’s almost 3-months now I have not heard from the airline. I have no choice but to elevate this to my travel insurance. I read about the compensation if your flight was delayed for more than 4 hrs.

I have booked a flight from frankfurT

I have booked a flight from frankfurt to Thailand. I would transfer via Bahrain. On the way back I had a flight at 11:00 from Bangkok to Bahrain. I would be at 18:15 in Bahrain. And than I would fly from Bahrain to Frankfurt at 01:10 am. But the time has suddenly changed. My new flight from Bangkok was at 16:50 and I would be at 00:05 in Bahrain. So I had only 1:05 hours to catch other flight. When I called the customer service they said Gulf air gotta arrange it if u miss the flight bcuz of that this its responsibility And than I have asked for confirmation bcuz of that I had got so many problems with these kind of thing. The customer service person boğan directly to say “we can’t say 100% that we are gonna arrange your things etc.” and than he began to say “I can’t hearing you, am gonna call you back” but he did never called back. When I tried to call back because of that he doesn’t he wasn’t answering the call!!! Never Gulf air again!!!

Gulf Air irrefürung Flug GF165

Habe folgenden Flug gebucht fuüFrankfurt-Bangkok mit Zwischen Stop Bahrain
Der Flug wurde auch so bestätigt

Der Abflug von Frankfurt verspätete sich wie immer bei Gulfair wie ich inzwischen festgestellt habe Desweiteren kann eine E-Mail wärend des Fluges von Frankfurt nach Bahrain das Sich der Flug von Bahrain nach Bangkok ändert und jetzt über Singapur geht.
Ca 1Stunde vor Weiterflug in Bahrain wechselte die Anzeige für den gebuchten Flug GF0165 nach Bangkok zu
Singapur - Bangkok alse ein STOP in Singapur mit aussteigen und wieder die anscheinend für Gulfair übliche Verspätung des Abfluges
Da ich jetzt erst genauerer recherchiert habe fand ich heraus daß der Flug GF 165 generell in letzter Zeit über Singapur geht weshalb wird dies nicht angezeigt bei der Buchung und der Buchungsbestätigung?
Ich finde dieses gebären grenzt an Absichtliche Irreführung oder Betrug dieses werde ich nach Rückkehr nach Deutschland prüfen lassen

The departure from Frankfurt was delayed as always with Gulfair, as I have now noticed. Furthermore, an e-mail during the flight from Frankfurt to Bahrain that the flight from Bahrain to Bangkok is changing and is now going via Singapore.
About 1 hour before the onward flight in Bahrain, the display for the booked flight GF0165 to Bangkok changed
Singapore - Bangkok as a STOP in Singapore with disembarking and again the apparently usual Gulfair delay in departure
Since I have now researched more closely, I found out that flight GF 165 has recently been going via Singapore, why is this not displayed in the booking and the booking confirmation?
I think this giving birth borders on intentional misleading or fraud, I will have this checked after my return to Germany

Poor customer experience and overexpense of approximately 1350euros on my travel cost only

My wife was denied boarding on gulf air on 23rd June as her previous flight was delayed...even though she reached 10 minutes before the flight take off time...as if they have never flown few minutes late. one particular staff at Frankfurt Airport was so rude to her... maybe because she was an economy passenger.she still gives my wife nightmares. Gulf air wasn't able to provide any help with a new ticket and she had to buy a new ticket worth of nearly 1000euros.
Gulf air customer care also advised that her return ticket for 27th July was fine. However when she reached Cochin, she was denied boarding initially and told that she had to reissue her ticket. Eventually after 2hours of wait and distress she was reissued a ticket with a cost of 350euros and the staff was equally rude.
I wonder does Gulf Air management is ever concerned about passenger experience.
I will not recommend Gulf Air due to the physical and emotional distress Gulf Air caused me and my wife on both ways of travel...not sure if they behave the same with business class passengers...we hope to get our ticket money reimbursed from Gulf Air and apology for the way both the staff behaved. I hope Gulf Air does the needful and improve their passenger experience
