The booking process was really easy and the technician arrived the following day! The battery had a long warrantee and the new battery was covered by that warrantee.

The mobile technician really knew his stuff. He spotted really quickly that an incorrect battery had been fitted previously and went above and beyond to source the correct one and ensure that it was fitted promptly. He was knowledgeable and very polite.

I booked Halfords Mobile Expert to replace all four tyres on my car. Three tyres were fitted successfully, but the technician advised that he could not remove the fourth wheel because the wheel nut would not undo. I was told a refund would be arranged for the unused tyre and that I should take the vehicle to a Halfords workshop where they would have the equipment needed to remove the wheel and complete the job.

My priority was getting all four tyres fitted, not receiving a refund, so I booked an appointment at my local Halfords workshop. It was only then that I was informed the wheel nut had been damaged and was stuck in the wheel. What disappointed me most was that the mobile technician never mentioned this. Had I been told at the time, I would have understood the situation and known what needed to be done next.

As a result, I have been left with an incomplete tyre replacement, wasted time travelling to a workshop, additional inconvenience, and uncertainty about how and when the issue will be resolved. I had planned to travel but have been unable to do so because the fourth tyre remains unfitted.

The mobile fitting service itself was convenient, but the lack of communication and failure to take ownership of the problem have significantly affected my experience. I would like Halfords to resolve the issue promptly and ensure customers are fully informed when complications arise.

Technician who arrived was professional and friendly and carried out the work I had booked diligently. He also provided me with advice re my 4x4 car which saved me having to have a part replaced (as part of the same order) saving me a few hundred pounds.

This service is a scam. Tech broke my wheel nut. Refused to take responsibility. I booked their wheel nut removal service (£50). They still couldn’t remove all the wheel nuts and refused to refund for the service they couldn’t complete. Bought 4 tyres from them (£550+) and then spent over a £150 to get the locking wheel nuts sorted. The escalation team (Emma) just ignoring emails now for nearly 2 months and is not helpful. I have tried contacting the Coatbridge Hub, and they have also ignored all emails. The £150 isn’t going to take me down but the service was awful. Will be reporting them to motoring ombudsman and taking them to small claims court. The service is an absolute joke for a business at this scale. Not only they lost a trade customer but also other trade customers that I have told this to. Case no. 00677989

Great service

Halford mobile fitting staff was not trained and have none knowledge of the essential works to be carried out, this leads to a permanent damage to my new car engine, I would not recommend this service to anyone as if you trust the service in few months you will regret when you realised the damaged caused to your car.

First time using mobile tyre fitting from Halfords. Easy to book online, very competitive pricing ( in fact , Halfords offered the best all in price after an online search),good availability during booking process and very competent technician from Halfords Durham, fitted my tyres at home at no additional cost to myself. Mobile unit was also fully equipped with all the necessary,up to date equipment.Really pleased with the whole experience and will definitely use again in future.

The mechanic was very friendly, however less than 24hours after he attended to regas my air-con it has stopped working.
Based on that, I would NOT recommend the mobile service, instead advise to go to the actual store.

I previously arranged a windscreen chip repair, turned up to the shop but couldn't be done as their equipment wasn't working. Fine, refunded and went somewhere else.
I should've learnt my lesson but no, I booked for mobile tyre fitting. I had a flat tyre, they all needed replacing anyway so paid £340+ for 4 tyres to be fitted on 18/06/26 between 08:00 - 20:00. Kept an eye on the tracking during the day, the fitter had us as job no 4, they were on job 3 by 11:00 so was hopeful they'd arrive in the afternoon. 17:00 came, still on job 3. 18:00, no change but thought they could still make it. 19:00, no change and getting slightly worried now as needed the car for work the next day. Contacted live chat, was told I have to call a number as live chat have no oversight of mobile fitting. Called 5 times, sat on hold for 10mins then cut off every time. Around 19:45 received an automated text message reminder for my fitting the next day. The chap turned up the next day and was very professional, but I should've been told they couldn't make it and they'd be there tomorrow.
If I wasn't available and they turned up I would've been charged £40, but they can just not turn up with no explanation when I've paid them. Awful service, will never use Halfords again for anything.

Took the money off a gift card and didn’t provide the tyre service due to a online glitch on their side, after 5 workings days (nearly a week) they still haven’t refunded the money, even after numerous calls and escalations to the customer service team who unfortunately don’t seem to have any influence over the refunds team who are clearly incapable of doing their job. Halfords are quick to take your money but not at giving it back! Will avoid using Halfords for anything now in the future.

Did it all on line Halfords made it very simple. Booking slots availability was great and the same price to fit at my home which is so convenient.
The technicians knowledge and professionalism was superb.

4 car tyres were changed by a mobile technician and then when I drove my car shortly afterwards, the brakes became spongy which resulted in having to have my car towed home as it was too dangerous to drive. My car was perfectly fine when I drove it earlier in the day. When logging the call the following morning, no sense of urgency or importance, was only told that someone from the main centre would contact me within 48hrs! I then spent the whole morning trying to get a garage to inspect it which surely is something that Halfords should be arranging? I am now waiting for another recovery vehicle to take the car to a garage, so I do not know the exact reason yet for the brake failure however I do not believe in coincidences!

I needed a replacement battery. Kenny attended my property this morning and sorted it. He was on time, polite, friendly and efficient. 5 stars, Thanks Kenny ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
