Very good but would have liked some information re time of mechanic coming to fix battery - had to wait in all day from 8 am information until mechanic at 2.30

Excellent service from Ross today (8797) - very personable, explained the issue clearly and fixed it promptly - and let my young son ‘help’, inspiring the next generation!

The mechanics were all great and very quick to attend/fix the issue, but I was told at roadside that the repair would cost £400 but then the RAC ended up charging me well over £500. I spoke to 3 different garages that all quoted me far less than this for the same job but they refused to accept the quotes. I also thought it was very poor that the quote match team ignored me for days and didn't not reply to any emails until AFTER I had already paid the higher price for the repairs, at which point they suddenly started replying within minutes every time! I feel very misled and frankly lied to by this whole process, which has ended up costing me quite a bit more money that it really should have.

The man who came knew straight away what problem was he hadn't got part so organised and fetched it returned and fitted made sure everything was OK before he left

The mechanic was excellent and worked very hard. Being able to have the car fixed on the drive saved me loads of time and worry.

I can only say that your mechanic was fantastic, polite, experienced and friendly but I'm now being charged double for this service. I paid £201.42 on Thursday 20/08/2026 and have now been told that I have a charge of £200.42 pending in my account, I would like this matter to be sorted out as soon as possible.

From first contact with the call handler to arrival of James within the hour I could not fault the service. James (ID-2189) was a little stumped at first but persevered to troubleshoot the problem by a process of elimination and eventually came up with a novel way to bump start a rather heavy old Defender.
He got the car going then followed me to the garage and dropped me home again.
James is a great ambassador for the RAC. He was determined to find a way to get the car working and didn’t give up until he succeeded. A thoroughly good bloke!

Thanks very much for the Rac for sending Jamie 1506 to My VW transporter today Sunday, the 23rd of August top guy absolutely knows what he’s doing fixed my vehicle within an hour an absolute credit to the Rac Could not have been more happy this is what will keep me as an Rac member with guys like Jamie thank you Jamie for everything you’ve done. You deserve a medal and a pay rise.

Had an electrical issue with my bike and the RAC had a mechanic out to me within half an hour. Miles (technician, badge number 1334) was a great guy and was adamant that he would find the problem which he duly did. I’m most grateful for his help to get me back on the road. Top chap!

Able to see exactly when they were arriving. They didnt have the make.battery on board so arranged for a mobile mechanic to fit one, they also came within an hour. Can't fault the service.

What made my experience great, well from the word go, everything was good. The booking for the service was simple, there was a choice of dates within an acceptable time period, I was kept up to date with my needs, on the day of the service I was informed of the expected eta, which was great, I could plan around the time slot which was good.
The actual service was carried out by a man called Jan, who was thorough, clean is his work, informative, and didn’t’ hang about’. The whole experience was a pleasure to witness, and although I was a little apprehension at first, I will certainly not hesitate to use the RAC mobile service in the future. Thank you to all concerned.

If I could give zero I would. Incredibly bad service, booked car in for two headlight replacements, extremely poor communication. After assurance I need not be present , was advised last-minute.com I needed to be there with my credit card. Eventually after a lot of phone calls situation resolved. Same really poor customer service experience for a price match guarantee. Finally when engineer turned up left with only 1 headlight functioning!!!! He was called back, finally after initially duggesting we go to halfords and get a new bulb and fit it ourselves.....2 lights functioning but could not align them, which had been requested. Car failed MOT next day due to loose fitting of headlights and non alignment . Inspector said if you drive over a bump 1 light is likely to pop out ....!!!!!. Complained online to customer service with 5 subsequent follow ups and no reply. Total incompetence. Really never again, I wasted 340 pounds on getting this work " done" ....would say it was me that was well and truly " done" Time wasting, frustrating, and all the rest.

Rac are a text message away from getting work done on your car for a very good price and it's done on your drive way on a day and time to suit you that's got to be a good with a very nice technician to do the job

Good communication and turned up on time, fixed the car with no other issues
