Great Hire car company
Great Hire car company. I have used them twice and a friend uses them all the time. Always a good service. Car was great, No hidden charges or add on's, very clear honest pricing.

An unpleasant experience
Arrived at Malaga Airport after a long day travelling. Had to call the Courtesy bus and waited some considerable time before it showed up. When we picked it our car it was filthy despite advertising that a cars received car wash before being collected. Won't be using Helli Hollis again and definitely not would not recommend.

We can see that you have written this review for Helle Hollis Parking and not for Helle Hollis Car Rental services.
Helle Hollis Parking also has a courtesy bus service when you collect your parked car and the waiting time should of course not be too long. We apologize if you felt you waited long time but we do our utmost to minimize the waiting time. Unfortunately, sometimes external factors as heavy traffic to the Airport can slow down the service.
With regards to the free machine wash of your car, then this is only offered when parking is 7 days or longer. The parking in your case was 4 days. The advertising you mentioned is for one-year parking service where this service is included in a package. Slow courtesy Bus
We got our luggage from the carousel and texted courtesy bus and made our way to the bus pickup with my family.
Lots of people waiting on different companies, lots of people getting collected by other companies and also saw same drivers returning from other companies, but no bus with Helle Hollis written on it.
Eventually after 35 min( from time of text request for pickup) a HH bus arrived. I spoke to the driver who told me to get on. I told my wife and 4 year old daughter to get on the bus as I could see a bigger capacity than the bus could handle surround the bus.
Now as I'm carrying my 2 year old son and only able to move one of my cases at a time to the boot of the bus whilst carrying him,the angry crowd has loaded up and dived on the bus leaving no seats for myself and son.
So the driver tells me she can't take us anymore whilst allowing a free for all from an unhappy crowd, who are obviously upset after also waiting over 30 minutes for the bus to arrive. My wife and daughter then have to get off the bus.
So we wait another 10 minutes for another bus. So in total you have to wait 45 minutes to get picked up on a late Friday evening in hot heat with young children and babies.
Come on Helle Hollis get your act together,this is no way to treat families about to start their holidays.

We are in high season and we are doing our best to keep the waiting time to a minimum. Unfortunately, we do not always succeed. We have spoken to the staff on the evening of your arrival which was very busy. She tried to find out who was the first waiting in queue and some jumped the queue and she also apologized for this.
In order to avoid this to happened, we have at peak times of arrivals during weekends a staff member at the courtesy bus stop to register the clients coming for the courtesy bus and also hands out a number to keep a waiting line for the bus.
We apologize again for the happened and will continue to look into how to improve the service. Best regards, Helle Hollis
Fantastic service - highly recommendable
Did not know Helle Hollis, but found them via Google and read some reviews, and they where very positive. So deceided to book with full insurance.. Arrived at Malaga airport and was easy to find the “shuttlebus” to Helle Hollis. Check in was easy (made it also easier with a danish speaking person at the check-in) the car was flawless (Peugeot 3008 automatic) - and when we had to return the car, we just needed to fill the car up with gasoline (full tank). They check if we had fill up the tank (which we did) and we got our deposit back right away, nothing like waiting days/weeks like bigger rentals (e.g Avis). They drove us back to Malaga airport.
All in all - Can only recommend Helle Hollis. No downsides only upsides. Just remember to include with full insurance (we did not need it, but made it alot easier - as they do not check the car when returning)

Completely awful
First time renting a car with helle hollis, would definitly ble the last. Supposed to deliver the car at a set time and being a tourist we got lost on the road. We called in and told we where going to be 10 minutes late. Got yelled at the phone and she told she had to get home and she wouldnt wait for us. She said she could give us 5 minutes even though i explained we where 10 minutes away. Yes we should have planned better, but we did not know they where closing the shop at 14:00, we where only told that we where supposed to deliver the car at 14:00. I have so much respect for peoples working hours but either you should provide service and stay the extra 10 minutes or you have to be clear that 14:00 is the last possible delivery time because of opening hours.
We ended up having to drive to the airport and deliver the car there, spending extra gas and pay 80 euros in taxi to get to our hotel with two small kids. And for me its just the way she yelled at us in the phone. I cried the whole way to the airport
The car was great tho. The service was just awful.

Our staff member at the Fuengirola office has many years of customer experience and she is always flexible.
The rental contract was made for return to the Fuengirola office at 12h and the office closes at 14h on Saturdays.
The staff member received your first phone call at 14h sharp and you were kindly informed that the office was closing but she could wait 10 minutes more or you had the option to return the car at the Head Office at Malaga Airport which is open 24 hours. At no time the staff member was yelling but kindly informing you the options for returning the car.
At 14.05h. she received the second phone call where she was informed that you would return the car to the Malaga Head Office. The whole conversation between staff member and you were friendly and she didn’t get any feeling that this was a problem for you.
At 14.19h. the car was return at our Head Office with no complaints, so we are quite surprised to see this review. The distance from Fuengirola to Malaga is more than 20 km and would have taken at least 25 minutes to reach the Head Office.
The staff member from the Fuengirola office quoted in your contract that you were coming to the Head Office and even quoted that no extra charge should be done for the extra day’s rental (as the rental was already exceed by more than 2 hours).
We understand that it can be difficult to find way to a new rental location but the staff member was flexible by saying that she would stay 10 more minutes after closing time and after she heard that you wanted to return the car to the Head Office, she made sure that you were not charged for an extra day’s rental.
We therefore believe that we have done the best we could do for you and are sorry to see this review. Best regards, Helle Hollis
Exceptionel
I rented a car from Helle Hollis for 7 days, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From start to finish, the service was exceptionel. The booking process was smooth and straightforward. Upon arrival, we was picked up, and driven 5 minutes away to Helle Hollis, greeted by friendly and professional staff who quickly processed my reservation and got me on the road in no time.
The car itself was almost brand new and clearly well-maintained. It performed beautifully throughout my trip, offering a comfortable and reliable ride. I also appreciated the transparent pricing with no hidden fees, which made the whole experience stress free.
Returning the car was just as easy and efficient. The staff again were courteous and helpful, ensuring a quick and easy return process - neverless i also got money back, from the rest of the gas, we haven’t used.
Overall Helle Hollis exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of a rental car. I will definitely be using their services again in the future!

The car was great, service less so
The car was great, but the handover before and after the rental was not very nice. The service is poor: condescending and biting at you whenever they have the chance.

We have just used Helle Hollis for the 3rd time. The pick up and drop off is very quick and efficient! MUCH quicker than using one of the on site companies in our experience having once queued with 2 young children longer than our flight from the UK.

good company, new cars, i can recommend it.
First time in Malaga, overall experience good, we had what i think is a new, almost new car, staff friendly, and helpful, too helpful, we booked a car i was expecting something from the list , instead i was informed i don't get to choose the car and i will like the car they giving to me. Pity because by booking a car even random from the list you get the last option which is the other similar car. Everything else was good and peaceful. I suggest getting full insurance, because most likely you will get scratched. Apart from that i can't say anything bad.
