Day 1 driver couldn't find address again and again.
Day 1 driver couldn't find address, day 2 driver had full directions and land and mobile numbers, got a text which read delivery between 11 & 12 noon. at 11:42 website showed driver couldn't find address again, no phone calls to me, at 12:30 after 30 minutes on phone to them, assured driver would return and deliver up to 22:00, What a shock no driver turned up. Make a written complaint, one section of their website reads they will respond within 90 minutes, what a shock, no response. It's good that sat-navs came along, can't imagine how their drivers would cope with a paper map.

Don't do it! I sold a hardwood chest on ebay and despite being well packed, DPD managed to destroy it in transit. I am now almost £100.00 out of pocket since I have refunded the purchaser. DPD are refusing to accept responsibility. I only used them because they were recommended by Martin Lewis and Parcelforce have managed to break things and Hermes "lose" items. I think I will give UPS a try.
This company is an absolute shambles
This company is an absolute shambles, they are incompetent and the drivers actively lie about delivery attempts. They're rude over the phone and treat their customers like idiots.
Awful service
Awful service. I am a new business owner relying on delivery of items. The three times I have used DPD local each delivery has arrrived damaged. When I tried to make a claim for the lost costs I was told the items appeared on the prohibited item list so a refund was not possible. After checking the list it appears that most things you may wish to send are on there. I'm not sure what you can actually send to be honest as the list is that exhaustive. It's to me just a get out of jail free card. Definitely will not be using again!
Rude lairs.
Rude lairs.. paul the delivery driver is a disgusting excuse for man... they refuse to follow instructions then when a complaint is made they make sure the customer is in jeopardy... never agin 0 stars deserved. Made me lose out on training which i will be invoiced £144 then call costs of £30 to be told they can do what they want. Customer services team is usless they just lie to you repeatedly and the deport make themselves unable to talk to customers for a reason. I hope karma dont come too harsh for them!!!

Appalling, repeatedly got delivery wrong, hung up when finally got thru having been on hold for 20 mins. Do not use.

Got a text to say my parcel could not be delivered, no one answered the door.
I had been in all morning waiting. I checked the website and saw a picture of another house miles away with the same could not deliver story.
I complained to the sender who contacted DPD who responded with: "We will deliver later today". Nothing came that day and next morning I had a text to say what time my parcel would be delivered. When it came, I asked what happened yesterday? The driver said: "I was too busy to get to you so I flagged it as no one home and took a picture of the nearest house" He then went on to say he often has to do this!
I did experience bad delivery …
I did experience bad delivery service with the DPD Local. As I live in the flat ,so we do have security phone entry system, for some reason driver did not use it( I checked it straight away and it's been in working order ), but in undelivered reason he said he tryed to call to the property and no one answered (I have been at home at this time). He simply left delivery note next to the entrance to the block of flats without writing the receiver's name or flat number, date and time of the delivery. I realised that it was for me by checking the tracking number printed on it. Then for 40 min I have tried to contact dpd local by phone, onense I get through to dpd local customer service , lady named Raj tolled me that the driver did everything right, and I do have a choice of pick up parcel from local depo or it will be delivered another time. Without finishing our conversation she dropped the line.
Half an hour late someone nocked my door, it was another delivery, serviced by Royal Mail.
It's mean that there is no complication to get inside the block by press the trade button or press the flat number and call.
Update for this review : I did call again to "dpd local" customer service ( Tel:01212750500 hold the line until it will connect you to the operator)
The lady from customer service said that it could be delivered at 13:00 same day. This time I have been waiting for the driver outside the building from 12:50 until 13:30( time he appeared with the parcel, ).
Being a DPD local/ Interlink business …
Being a DPD local/ Interlink business customer for over a year, my experience is that if there is nothing wrong with the order, which happened 99% of the time, then DPD local's delivery speed is very fast. However, if there is anything wrong with the orders, for example: late delivery, lost parcels, or WHOLE Server DOWN for a whole day, there is NO ONE you can talk to. And the postage can not be claimed back.
As an Amazon seller, we have got a few 1 star feedback because of DPD failed to deliver our next day parcels on time.
No one in DPD local has ever replied us about the compensation when we make any lost parcel claims.

No interest in providing what they charge for (one-hour collection window. Next day delivery)
Polite complaints either result in them promising to improve which never happens, or they simply get ignored.
If you are sending many parcels, don't trust these people with your companies reputation.
most awful service I have ever recieved
well, what an awful company to deal with. I sent out two parcels in one week, both were delayed, not even an attempt to deliver on the correct day. I attempted to call someone to sort the situation out, dpd local only use live chat, so I called a DPD helpline instead. they had all my details, helped to clarify when the parcels would finally be delivered and told me to live chat DPD local to get my refund.
well that was fun,
- they lied to me repeatedly about the day that the delivery was attempted, despite listing it clearly themselves above!!!!
- said that I wouldn't get a refund as ' i had re-arranged the delivery with DPD, and not DPD local).
- repeatedly suggested that it was my fault as i had re arranged the delivery, when the only reason I had to do that was because it didn't arrive when it was supposed to in the first place.
- kept suggested that DPD was a totally different company and would not answer me when I asked that if they didn't have anything to do with it then why did they have all the details to hand.
in conclusion, i am totally gobsmacked that a company could be so difficult, could lie to me repeatedly, and most importantly, NOT DELIVER PARCELS WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO.

Having previously given DPD local a good report the level of service has fallen to the point where I must re-visit my comments. I write this whilst looking at today's orders which have once again not been collected by DPD so we will look bad in front of our customers. They will have been sent text messages by DPD to say their products are coming but they aren't. This has happened a lot.
We have been called by customers to say that their parcels have been delivered to the wrong address - the driver mis-read 530 for 580 despite a huge label we put on all the boxes. Other times the drivers say they tried to deliver when they didn't.

Despite paying £20 for next day delivery my package took 5 days to reach me. The box arrived torn with a massive hole in one end - it had totally been abused. This was transporting my two-year old boy's birthday present (a toy garage) which, as a result was damaged. DPD's response: 'There is no evidence showing an external force that may have caused internal damage.' I sent them several pictures to show the extent of the damage to the box and it's contents - all ignored. Do NOT use this company!
2 separate orders, neither were collected
Made two separate orders for 2 parcels to be collected from my workplace, one for Monday and the other for Tuesday. It's Wednesday and neither parcel has been collected. I contact DPD Local via their online chat system and all they can say is "we don't know why the driver didn't collect these, it could be a number of reasons" and they asked if I wanted to rebook them. I said I have lost my faith in DPD Local and so requested a refund.
Unacceptable and poor customer service
My experience of DPD was completely unacceptable and sub standard. I was lookinh forward to recieving a product that I planned to use this weekend. I received a text yesterday to let me know it was arriving today. As such I made plans to ensure it was recieved and could be signed for. On the day of delivery I recieved a text informing me that the delivery had been delayed. This is completely unacceptable, informing me that I would get the product and then on the day of delivery cancelling. I rang DPD and they merely stated that it "sometimes happens". You cannot plan or rely on a company that maintains a it happens attitude. I have no trust in DPD and would actively discourage people from using them, they cannot achieve their own delivery schedule.
Excellent all round
My own experiences of DPD have consistently been excellent. All the local drivers in my area are great. Now with the "Your DPD" app on my phone, I can track the arrival time of my packages to the nearest 10 or 15 minutes; it's pretty phenomenal. All the stress and "waiting" for a delivery is now gone. Thank you DPD for making it so easy ).

Was told my parcel would be delivered on 07/05 17 so waited in most of day.When I tracked my parcel said it had been delivered??.Today the 08/05 a neighbour at number 26 brought my parcel to me it had been left in her garage.The writing on the card was so bad that she could not make what it said.She went round various neighbours until someone deciphered that it said garage.And yes when she located the parcel it was my name and address on it number 23.They need to teach the drivers to read.
