Shocking service and return condition of car
Booked airport parking at Heathrow via Compare Your Parking. Was charged additional funds whilst car parked in short-stay car park Terminal 3 which was not specified on their policy. Additionally, had to wait over an hour for the car to be returned upon our return back to Heathrow. Far from ideal when you've been on an overnight flight with a family and it's the early hours of the morning. Despite calling and calling, we could see our car was parked in some wasteland somewhere, we were told they had lost the keys. When they did eventually turn up, the car was unrecognisable! Despite being less than 12 months old, it looked as though it had been camouflaged with leaves and mud. The car was caked in it, inside and out. Please do not use this company, go for someone more reputable, even if they're more expensive.
Total scam.
Total scam.
Avoid.
They don’t answer calls.
Car takes more than an hour to arrive.
When it did arrive, it had minor damage and the tyre pressure warning light was on.
Would leave 0 star if I could
Would leave 0 star if I could. Waiting both ends of long journey. Don’t answer phone. Terrible service. Do not use.
The most frightening experience
This was a dreadful experience from start to finish. I had the same experience as most reviewers; waiting 1 hour at arrival 2.5 hours on return. Being blatantly lied to and disrespected, car footwells covered in clay. Having to phone over 20 times before getting through to someone with broken English. Honestly it’s a frightening experience. Also duped by compare parking. The level of anxiety is too much.
Atrocious service and expect further costs
Atrocious service. But reading these reviews whilst waiting 90 minutes to pick up my own car left me relieved to find they hadn’t lost the keys, damaged the vehicle or driven it in and out of London multiple times.
Selected as the reviews on compareyourparking were very good and cheapest price parking. Totally misleading and will not use that site again. To start off, couldn’t get an answer whilst dropping my car at the airport and they hadn’t picked up the answerphone message after I’d rung 10 x without an answer. We’re about an hour late turning up which meant that not only did I have to foot the price of the short stay ticket (on top of the bill I had already paid) my car was pushed into the next time bracket so it cost me £17:50 to drop my car plus the additional £7:50 to collect.
On return, they again failed to answer. When I eventually got through they initially said it would be half an hour, then that they were 7 minutes away, then they were 10 minutes away. We were waiting 90 minutes from the point we actually managed to get someone to answer the phone. Would never use again.
Absolutely horrendous experience!
Absolutely horrendous experience with Kar Parking Heathrow – avoid this company at all costs! We booked with the expectation of a smooth and reliable service as advertised, yet our experience was the exact opposite, leaving us frustrated, stranded, and thoroughly disappointed.
From start to finish, Kar Parking Heathrow displayed nothing but incompetence and disregard for customer welfare. Both our arrival and departure were severely delayed, leaving two women and a young child waiting outside for over two hours. This company is clearly operating beyond capacity, overbooking and stretching resources thin in a blatant money-grab, with no concern for fulfilling the basic service they promise.
The excuses we received were utterly unacceptable. We were told they’d “lost the car key,” a claim that’s been echoed in numerous other reviews, proving it’s a standard excuse rather than a rare mishap. We even have documented timestamps and screenshots showing our car was left stationary for almost the entire waiting period. They lied to us, plain and simple, with no regard for the impact it had on us.
To add insult to injury, when I finally reached someone by phone, the representative was dismissive and even said he was “depressed” by the volume of complaints. This is not only unprofessional but frankly shocking. The lack of empathy and customer care from this company is outrageous. We were left stranded, ignored, and given no support or reassurance, which only intensified the already stressful situation.
Kar Parking Heathrow’s website grossly misrepresents their service, luring customers in with false promises of reliability, efficiency, and convenience. They paint a picture that is far from the truth. We could have easily chosen a reputable company, but instead, we were misled by Kar Parking’s deceptive advertising and empty promises.
And if you think they’ll take responsibility for this nightmare, think again. When we demanded a full refund, they had the audacity to offer only a partial refund or a voucher – as if that could compensate for the hours of stress and frustration they caused. It’s an insult to think they can offer anything less than a full refund after such an appalling experience.
Save yourself the hassle, frustration, and money. Do NOT trust Kar Parking Heathrow with your vehicle or your time. This company should be ashamed of its disregard for customers, its constant excuses, and its refusal to take responsibility. If you’re looking for reliable parking, look elsewhere – Kar Parking Heathrow is the worst choice you could possibly make.
* UPDATE * - I have emailed them numerous times for a refund and have not even received an acknowledgment from them. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!
Kar Parking Heathrow should be called…
Kar Parking Heathrow should be called KarBoy Parking.
Firstly had to pay for parking when i dropped the vehicle off and on return having waited for over an hour for the vehicle took a taxi to their car park to be handed over a damaged vehicle and told to contact the company email
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY total bandits
DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS
Ok SO horrific experience not sure if I should be taking compareyourparking.com to court over misleading their customers through reviews on their website.. as the reviews on Trustpilot tell a very different story..
Experience: Landed at Heathrow after 12 hours of flying from San fran to LA then LA to Heathrow. Very tired, jet lagged etc. Tried calling the number provided on the returning your car procedure form, which went to voicemail about 100 times and then when I tried ringing the kar parking office number it say's that the number is no longer in service.. at this point I think my cars been stolen and that im going to have to ring the police. Anyways about an hour later I get a return call (baring in mind my car pick up was supposed to be at 11am and I landed at 9:45am and they called me at 11:05am) asking me where I am, I said Terminal 5 level 4 as thats what it said on the form to which he sounded surprised and said he's very sorry but he's going to be 45 mins late. (I was just happy at this point my car had not been stolen) I said OK and waited. 45 mins go by,.. no car to be seen, I ring the number back and he said its very difficult because of traffic in and out of the compound, im like brother thats not my problem you have one job and thats to pick up and return my car. He said he will be maximum another 20 minutes I said OK. 20 mins go by I call the number back he says hes lost my car key... at this point I think I am on a comedy show being pranked but no this is real. He then said wait 20 more minutes and I will bring the car.. I SAID HOW YOU HAVE LOST MY KEY.. he said brother its not that simple... I wanted to cry at this point.. However, after 25 more minutes the car did arrive. so it basically took a rodeo and 2.5 hours to get my car back, oh by the way with a very low pressured tire :D. Also compare your parking is awful, said this service was rated 9.5/10 which is a lie and when I called them to ask why the number for the service they have brokered is not working they fobbed me off and said they would call me back, did they F***k. Awful from start to finish will never use again and before you book anything.. basically dont.. but hope you enjoyed my review.
They need to be stopped from doing business!
I used Kar Parking at Heathrow Terminal 4 while I was away, and I trusted that my car would be parked safely and left until I returned.
Turns out, that wasn’t the case.
My car was driven multiple times, racking up miles, using up my EV battery, and when I finally got it back, the footwell was muddy!
According to the information I retrieved from my vehicle’s telemetry, my car was driven multiple times during the period it was in your care. Specifically:
At 18:44 on 26th September, my car was driven 10.9 miles, consuming 3.4 kWh of battery, and taking 31 minutes to reach an unknown destination.
At 19:27, it was driven another 6.8 miles to Heathrow Airport Building 1235, Eastern Perimeter Road, consuming 2 kWh of battery.
On 30th September at 12:07, my car was moved again from Heathrow Airport Building 1235 to 10a Feathers Lane, TW19 5AN.
On 12th October at 15:07, it was driven to Hollywood House, Horton Road, SL3 9NU, a 9.1-mile trip that consumed additional energy.
My understanding when booking your service was that my car would be parked in a secure location for the duration of my trip, and not driven repeatedly as described. According to your terms and conditions (Section 10.6), the service provider reserves the right to move vehicles for operational reasons. However, the frequency and distance of these movements far exceed what I would reasonably expect, especially given the significant reduction in my vehicle's battery charge.
When I left my car on 26th September, it had 71% battery charge (193 miles). Upon collection, it had only 55% (109 miles), leaving me with insufficient charge to return home to Leicester without stopping to recharge.
Avoid
We booked parking with this company through compare your parking on line for the 4th of September to the 5th of October.
During this time our car was driven 80.9 miles. From Hatton to various places. As our car is a 23 plate it comes with an app which tracks the whereabouts and status of the car at all times, the app highlighted several alerts for the time we were away and the car was supposed to be in a security unit.
The alerts highlighted tyre warnings and slow puncture in both rear tyres. The petrol was also lower than it should have been and a bag of sweets eaten. All of the driving position had been changed substantially.
The cars tracking system during our time away showed our car parked next to a lake for several day and being driven around the area.
I am awaiting a response for the company.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY NEED TO BE REPORTED BECAUSE THEY ARE CONS.
I am writing this to express my EXTREME dissatisfaction with the service I received while using this airport parking service.
I have received a VERY frustrating experience both before and after my trip. Full compensation is required for the inconvenience and stress caused.
1. Whilst en route to the airport on 29th September 2024, we received persistent calls ‘where are you’ we had already said 15-20mins away and we kept getting calls even when trying to find our way into the car park. Your company was in such a hurry to get the car and this cause more stress and frustration when we were already focused on reaching the airport in time. I had booked your service in advance with the expectation of a smooth, hassle-free experience, but instead your teams persistent communication added stress
2. Upon my return from the trip, we were instructed to call once our baggage was collected, which we did. However, we were then waiting 1hr 15 mins for the car because your team had LOST the keys. This is not only unacceptable but highly unprofessional. After a long delayed flight, the last thing a customer should have to deal with is an extended wait time due to such an error on your part.
3. We FINALLY got our car and the car was left in a state. Mud marks all over the driver side. The miles was on 525 miles left in the tank when we dropped the car off. We were told the car park is 5 minutes away. When we collected the car it had gone down to 460 miles. That’s 65 mile difference. Surely it cannot take off that many miles for a 5-10 minute drive. So clearly the car has been driven elsewhere which we are unaware of. The guy who dropped our keys off to us didn’t even wait for us to ask questions he gave the key and left whilst we were mid conversation. Really poor service and not trustworthy at all.
I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone and I will be writing a review online too so others don’t face same problems we did.
All of these incidents reflect a service lack of organisation and professionalism. As a paying customer, I expected a reliable and efficient service but instead i received stress, frustration & lies from the company.
DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS
DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS - Dropped car LHR T3 and had to wait 45 minutes for driver to arrive then had to pay additional £13.50 for short term parking so he could exit. On return called as advised and waited almost an hour for my car and had to pay an additional £7.50 for car park to exit: Returning driver literally dumped my car next to me blocking other cars in bays. He was rude when I politely expressed my dissatisfaction and walked away after handing me that parking ticket to pay. USE AT YOUR PERIL
Absolute clowns
Absolute clowns, my mother had 6 weeks in Japan and left her car with these monkeys. Week after she came back she had a parking ticket in the post, turns out these Pakistanis took her car into town whilst she was in Japan. No apology, typical rude scum. Who paying for this?
Disgusting service
Took over an hour to come and pick our car up, took over an hour to drop our car off. The phone holder in our car was broken when we collected - no one is responding to my emails/calls. More than half the fuel tank was used when they brought the car back - I don’t know where they drove it from. Customer service is incredibly poor, the least they could do for the troubles they caused is pay for our parking tickets. I will definitely be raising the complaint further as there is something dodgy happening…
Avoid
Late collection
Very late delivery when arriving back of over an hr from calling
No ID check on return
Car muddy inside on both passenger and driver side
Passenger seat had been adjusted indicating car had been used by 2 people
One couple in tears as no one had picked their car up and they were in danger of missing flight
Used many, would never touch this company again
DO NOT USE , book someone else
Issues on both the drop off and collection.
Even though they were fully advised of our progress kept us waiting for over 30 mins to collect the car so we could check in
On the way back it was even worse, multiple calls to get the car back and ended up waiting for an hour as it seems they had lost the car
Was lied to as to where the car was and that the driver would pay for the exit fee then told to email to complain and they would deal with getting a refund
Email sent 27/8 chased again 12/9 and then again today 26/9 - still nothing not even a we are looking into it email
Only positive was the driver who collected / delivered back the car as he remained pleasant in light of us being very unhappy......
Trading standard complaint i feel is coming on due to their shocking behaviour
Please DO NOT use this firm Kar Parking Heathrow
strongly advise against using this company. My experience with them was very disappointing. I left my car with them while traveling for a bereavement. Upon my return, the driver handed me my keys and the ticket for payment at Terminal 5. After settling the payment, I went back to thank the driver, only to discover damage on the rear driver's side of my car.
When I inquired about the damage, the driver claimed he was unaware, even though they had taken pictures of my car before I handed over the keys. I attempted to reach out to Kar Parking via the email and phone numbers they provided which I had contacted them on the day of my arrival to collect my car, but after reporting the damage the folowing day, they blocked my number. Now, I cannot contact them at either the mobile or landline listed.
Please review all the information on their website before making a booking: Kar Parking Heathrow.

Was 30 minutes late meeting me at LHR…
Was 30 minutes late meeting me at LHR T2 at 0645, they arrived 0720. Had phoned 40 minutes beforehand to say I would be on time. Terrible company yet had 5 starts on compare the parking. Also had to pay £11 for the extra time in the carpark waiting for them.
ABSOLUTELY APPALLING
ABSOLUTELY APPALLING
ABSOLUTELY APPALLING. On drop off made us pay for coming early (to accommodate us for the extra 30 mins). On pick up had to pay extra to get out of short stay car park. Hidden charges aside, car came back with damage to bumper and alloys. Car was dirty and covered in bird poo. Getting no response from emails. Rude ‘controller’ on switchboard who just keeps fobbing me off every time I want to speak to manager. And this week a fine from APCOA as they’ve been driving in drop off zone. I paid £130 on booking, £20 in extra parking charges, £180 bumper damage. £40 in parking fine. Complete joke. Avoid these thieves at all costs!! They also go by the name of Indigo parking so be careful!!
No pls never book them ..not even 1…
