Excellent services. Easy to use and resonable pricing.
Linode has fallen to shady practices. Its infrastructure is good but they consider customer as a risk recently i shifted from Digital Ocean to Linode. Was setting up an e-commerce setup. To my surprise at 4 am my time i got mail both servers get brute force attacked and restrictions on the servers is done until support reply. I set up servers again fully hardened and in evening my account gets cancelled on suspicious grounds. Never faced this kind of service ever.Thankfully their shady practices come in light early else i would be under a lawsuit from client.
Failing to make an account.
My email doesn't have any reply from the support client.
This is so good. I am running a Flask web application with Nginx and I recently switched to Linode from Heroku and the freedom feels truly amazing and the pricing is also really cheap. I cannot express how satisfied I am with their services 5/5.
I am 11 years at Linode. They let you free, never had any problems, always up, can up and downscale whenever I want. Best VPS ever. - XO Danielle
A genuinely awesome cloud platform. Network IO was absolutely insane compared to most in this price range and the dashboard is great and easy to use. Support is very fast and helpful. VPS instances are scalable and the DDoS mitigation seems great. Definitely worth the price!
Unable to create an account. No response to support request. my 10+ years old account disabled.
Update: you are not responding to the support emails. I have to create an account again to submit a ticket. When I create an account you asking for credit card payment verification. I used my own credit card, your system charged and verified it. But, How you judge me like a ciriminal? Years ago I created an account with you and used your service. But your new system disabled my old account and treated me like a criminal. I'm using my own internet, own credit card and I have all the IDs to verify. No issue if you do not allow to create an account. a lot of cloud providers out there. BUT IT IS A DANGEROUS SIGNAL, YOU WILL DELETE ANY ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME WITHOUT ANY REASON. Thank god.

I started using Linode 10 days ago. I followed a tutorial to set up a linode and had a website running on an IP.
5 days later the website was gone, which was extremely inconvenient as people were using it. I tried to log in and noticed my account wasn't there. I called customer service and learned that the account got cancelled because of a fraud suspicion related to the account.
They would give me no explanation for it. I also had no way of downloading my work. And I can't reactivate my account no matter what I do.
The customer service person told me that their terms and conditions mention that the account can be cancelled without explanation or warning if they suspect fraud; I can't see how this is justified. I did nothing wrong, I gave my account information, name and address correctly, and I have no way of knowing why my account was flagged. Everything was fine up to this point, but I can't recommend a service where there is a risk of sudden cancellation without receiving an explanation or a way to rectify the situation.

Service availability is the most valuable feature with Linode. It gives every user 100 percent uptime. It is in a single store for cloud solutions, which is critical for us.
Linode's biggest selling point to me is the simplicity of their pricing page: you don't need a PhD to figure out what services are available and how much they cost.
I also like how the customer service team is both friendly and knowledgeable. There's no problem I have faced that they haven't been able to help me fix (very handy for those of us coming to Linux from Windows).
Their services are reliable (I have one node that's been up for 11 months without any interruptions in service).
The network transfer they offer is super generous and is a big selling point for those of us who dream of launching large internet-scale services.
Finally I like how they get better over time (e.g. recent Cloud Firewall and VLAN additions) and do so slowly but surely.
You can't go wrong with Linode!
Have been experiencing packet loss and random freezing of my infrastructure in Newark for over a year. When contacting support, even after notes are attached to the account, the onus seems to be on me to reprove the issue. Over a year of being told it was due to a bug with one of their partners or a problem communicating between a legacy and nextgen networks. Over a year of unreliable service and not being able to use the service as advertised due to these issues. Over a year of looking stupid in front of a client who wanted to move to AWS when the problems first surfaced. Have been a Linode client for about 10 years or so, service used to be stellar and bomb proof. Last 2 years or so (2019 - 2021) not so much.
Linode is just easy to use! I needed a system for personal use that had good power and was still affordable. I picked my plan, then my operating system, tweaked a few disk partitions and let it rip! In a few minutes I had a shell as root on my new OS. both the web console and SSH console (LISH) work well for access using key access. I also like having the ability to alter the DNS reverse lookup for the IP address to make my system look more legit to other users.
I have been a customer for ten years and have never had a complaint. My Linode just works.
My business has been experiencing cash flow issues so we are unable to pay our bills exactly when they become due. I recently requested an extension on my bill payment and was promptly granted it without question. I gather that the Linode Team understands the issues that small businesses like mine have been experiencing due to the COVID 19 pandemic so they are always willing to lend a helping hand.
I've been hosting with Linode since 2010 without any issue. Customer support is always fast and reliable. I have never experienced any downtime that was significant.
The management tools they provide are enough for all my necessities and the price is totally affordable.
TL;DR: I love Linode.
I've been hosting my email server for 3 domains almost 2 years now, never had an uptime issue and the security that Linode offers is top notch.
Linode understands their customers well. They offer great products, responsive support, and transparent pricing. I've been a happy customer for many years and hope to launch a larger project on Linode soon!
We have used Linode for years now, and they have delivered stable services for a reasonable price. They are also super helpful, and really listen to what we need. When there are issues, their tech support is reaponding super fast and bring a lot of expertise to the table. It feels like Linode is just a part of our team.
Linode provides a straightforward service, that is also reliable, affordable and transparent.
