price match failed to deliver. I ordered through Customer Service and asked them if they do price match as Walmart had the product on sale. I addressed it with their executive office and was told it... See more

Awful experience with lowes.ca
Awful experience with lowes.ca. I don't know how they stay in business. No delivery information on your order. It may be 2 days or 2 weeks. Nothing but prescripted BS for answers.
Lowes Biased Product Reviews
I purchased a very expensive Delta faucet from Lowes. There was a scratch in the faceplate. I contacted customer service at Delta. It took 6 months and multiple calls to get a replacement part. Customer Service was extremely difficult to reach. I attempted to write a review on lowes website but it has been rejected twice because it does not meet their website guidelines. Here is what I said verbatim: "Difficulty reaching customer service. Took multiple calls and six months to receive replacement plate that was defective." I can understand deleting a review for profanity but what good are reviews if you are biased and only allow customers to post positive reviews that help you sell products??
Awesome service !
I bought a Fridge on Black Friday…They delivered in it in 2 days! Oh …and took my old fridge too . From the salesperson to the delivery guys.. they rocked … thank you…
I had bought a stove in the past.. and remembered how easy it was….
I purchased a kitchen faucet online and…
I purchased a kitchen faucet online and had it installed by a certified plumber. Five months later the faucet leaked. It buckled the wood at the bottom of the cabinet and leaked into the basement. We replaced the tap the next day. I took it to the store and was told I had to call the manufacturer as they only had 90 days to return it to them. I called the manufacturer who told me they did not take my money so they could not refund it. I called Lowes and was told there is no refund after 90 days. A
$300.00 faucet lasted less then 6 months. I do not plan to make another LOWES purchase. Thanks for standing behind your products.
purchased items on the promotion…
purchased items on the promotion expiring on feb 2023, with no payment no interest if payed by that date.
received phone call from lowes credit card asking me to pay $ 32.00 of which $16.00 is 30 days past due.
No other charges are due other than promotional purchase.
went to local lowes to pay that amount only to find out my account has been terminated due to non payment. payed total amount and had a few choice words for credit card customer agent.
long story short lowes credit changes game rules as they go along. needless to say this incident only makes home depot happier , because that is where I will spend my money.
People , buyer beware of Lowes not complying with their promotional ads.
Do not purchase floor models from loweses
I purchased a briggs and Stratton snow blower which was a floor model in march 2021. Brought it out to get it ready for this winter and the wheel fell off. Had it checked out and it turned out it was a cracked auger belt that cost me 165.00 to repair on a brand new machine. I had already been back to Lowes twice for missing manual and missing keys. Warning to consumers DO NOT PURCHASE floor models from Lowes!
Every touch with Lowes is painful.
Every turn with extended warranty with Lowes is an experience in uncompromising incompetence. Never ever buy anything from this business. I thought maybe it was just me but I see a 94% fail review!
Absolutely disgusting price matching…
Absolutely disgusting price matching experience with Lowes.ca -- tried to price match a deeply (legitimately) discounted item on Home Depot, they claimed Home Depot was on "Black Friday Sale" (it's Nov 05), even though its entire website has absolutely NO (i.e. zero!) mention of Black Friday Sale. Then, on a separate call, tried to price match the same item on Amazon.ca (also on sale there, shipped & sold by Amazon); Lowes claimed the model was different because there was a -01 on end of the model number (Lowes.ca omits this -01). Sent them the product manufacturer's website to show the U.S. MANUFACTURER uses this model designation interchangeably (with and without) in their product description + specification sheet. Then, Lowes claimed the info must be from a Canadian website for them to verify!! I felt like I got slimed!!
Customer Service at it's worst!
I live only blocks away from this Lowe's store and I get the feeling that it will be soon gone following a long trail of hardware stores that never made it in Alberta. There litterally is no customer service to be seen or had at this store. It's not just bad sometimes, it's terrible 90% of the time. The staff are only there to collect their checks and socialize with one another. Secondly; their inventory is sadly lacking and the product knowledge of the staff is terribly frightening. I swear, if one of their sales team spots a customer, they walk in the opposite direction. Old or young, it doesn't matter.
They do not stand by their products and…
They do not stand by their products and after fishing us for 6 months they outright lie to avoid having to honor their extended protection plan. Shady selfish business practices. Do not trust them
I am so happy that i buy a snow throw…
I am so happy that i buy a snow throw from Lowes. But in two or three day they reduce the price. I chat with the customer servie he said it is clearance item. i don't do price match with other store. just in the same store they reduce the price so much however they can't do 30 days price guarantee with loyal customer. I WOULD NOT TRUST THEIR PRICE IS LOWER PRICE IN ONTARIO ANY MORE. BECAUSE THEY CHANGE THEIR PRICE IN SHORT TIME AND DON'T DO PRICE ADJUSTMENT.
Don’t buy extended warranty from Lowes
Don’t buy extended warranty from Lowes. I bought extended warranty for my lawn mower tractor. Now that there is a problem, Lowes passes the responsibility to another crappy company “Comerco” who does not answer their phone and emails and Lowes is not responsive either.
Today
Today, we received an advertisement on email for a gazebo on sale. Turns out it is not available in any stores in this area of Ontario. This is the 3rd time we've ordered something that is not available. It happened with a lawn mower and snow blower as well. They will not give rainchecks either. In fairness, they did offer us 10% off up to $100 on our next purchase. When something is advertised and you try to order it on the same day, I think that can be called false advertising. In the past, we have spent a lot of money in their Brantford store, but we will not be shopping at Lowe's Canada any more.
Scam!!!
I tried to get a sink and faucet installation and consultation and paid for it in-store, but then later on, they did not send anyone and just lousily left a number in my voicemail. That number did not work, no one even picks up when I tried calling that number. Then I tried to call the Lowe's website number but they kept redirecting me to other numbers instead of actually helping me. Lowe's services are poor quality and a scam, makes you pay for it but doesn't give you the service. Please DO NOT get any kind of customer service with Lowe's.
Back in stock and out of stock at the same time.
I placed product alert. Yes I got the email of product back in stock. As soon as I received the email about availability of the product I ordered and paid online. They sent the acknowledgement email with possible pickup date and location. Today I received another email saying out of stock order cancelled. How rude this is?. They stopped me buying similar item from another store. They ruined my weekend as I have to find another generator. They also blocked a large portion of my Visa debit card for another 5 days to give refund. These guys are such irresponsible people they don't care about people. Please do not order product online from Lowes. They are playing with your money. They simply cancel the order to increase the price later.
Everything from wrong inventory on…
Everything from wrong inventory on their website to antiquated system for online returns made in store. Noticed a lot more made in China products compared to home depot - for example return air vents and tiles to name a couple. I'm surprised they haven't closed more stores or even left Canada
Ordered an air compressor from them on…
Ordered an air compressor from them on September 10. Fedex tracking has not progressed since September 13 stating that package is 60 miles away from me on a vehicle for delivery. I'm wondering if they are walking it here. Fedex has stated to me that they are "Unable to locate package", "Tracking number does not match any package in their warehouse" which is Fedex speak for "Package is lost". This was told to me on Friday September 17th. The Fedex supervisor stated that they are waiting for Lowes to contact them and they (Fedex) will inform them that the package is lost. I spoke to Lowes several times, twice to a supervisor "Laura" Who force fed me the usual Crap, You know, the well rehearsed "We're sooooo Sorry that you are having difficulties with your order, we are working tirelessly to resolve the issue, yada yada, yada." I did inform them that this is one reason that they will never be able to compete with Amazon. With Amazon if your package is more than three days late they issue a replacement or refund then and there, and they wrangle with the carrier for a refund and insurance claim, they don't leave the customer hanging in the wind for 21 or more days while they play buggery games with their co-workers. Thank God for Paypal, they have initiated a "non delivery of service or goods" complaint against them. I am confident that Paypal will assist me in this issue. Lowes really is Low.
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would for customer service. Went for blinds first associate did come to ask if we needed help but had no idea whatsoever how to help. Just kept saying err... no suggestions, no help at all. As we were walking away from the blind isle 2 associates walked by and one of them casually asked if we needed help and we asked if a certain type of blinds could be cut and as he continued walking said no! And mumbled something about other blinds that could be cut? And continued walking? We left went to Home Depot! Service was awesome and we spent over $500! You guys need to learn from home depot! Our store in the past, now and in the future!
Beware of Lowe's Warranty on Large Appliances
Bought a Samsung (French doors with bottom freezer, ice maker in freezer) at Lowe's in Barrie, Ontario, Canada in Sept 2020. Worked great until the end of June 2021. Then it was loud for a few days, and then the fridge didn't work (12-16C). Most food was garbage.
Called Samsung, they sent ARS (from Toronto) to fix it for free in July. The entire back of the fridge was covered in solid ice underneath the plastic cover that holds the fan. Technician replaced the fan. It worked fine for a week or so... then it froze over again after the fridge (fan) made a lot of racket for a few days. It was back to 12C or so. Groceries in the garbage again. Called Samsung, called ARS. The ARS technician returned to replace the fan and the defrost sensor at the end of July 2021.
----------------------------------------
I bought the new Samsung fridge at the local Lowe's and they now wipe their hands clean of the problem... they said they are just the middle man and have no control over the products they sell. The fridge died in only 9 months after purchase. They just keep saying to call Samsung.
They asked if I bought the extended warranty... but I doubt that it would help anymore. Samsung would just keep coming to fix it eternally even though the design is the problem.
One manager said she would call Samsung for us and see what they could do... but she never called us back.
----------------------------------------
When we returned from a 2 week holiday in August, the fridge wasn't working. When I called ARS Service , they said the file was closed. Called Samsung multiple times over a week and each time there was a different story... LOTS of time wasted calling between Samsung and ARS. At the end of the week (now August 20th) a Samsung person finally emailed ARS to open a new file. ARS technician came on August 30 with new parts and replaced the fan and sensor again. So, for 2 weeks, we were back to using coolers and freezer packs since the freezer was still working to store minimal groceries after tossing groceries/condiments/etc for the 3rd time.
The fridge worked for a while and Sept. 8, 2021 the fan made lots of racket for a couple days and now the fridge is back to 12-16C. Called Samsung again, and they said a one year warranty is only to replace parts (eternally)... it is not to replace the fridge. They said a technician has to declare it unrepairable before they will consider that. Now waiting for ARS technician to arrive for the 4th time, but no indication or word on when.
When we googled this fridge model and sensor/defrost/ice build up problem... it is clear it's been a problem since 2014. More time waster researching this problem.
Have had to buy a 2nd used fridge from a local business after going pretty much 2 months without a fridge and throwing out groceries and condiments 3 times. The used appliance dealer said they only deal with Fridgidaire and Whirlpool appliances as they haven't changed their fridges in over 20 years and the companies always sell the parts to fix them. The used appliance dealer won't buy and refurbish Samsung or other big name brands since they don't make the parts to fix them after that model is done being sold.
If buying a new fridge again, I would:
1. buy it at costco where it can be returned easily with full return or
2. buy used from the used appliance dealer since they also offer a 1 year warranty (same as Lowe's/Samsung) AND can come within 2-3 days to fix it (unlike the Samsung ARS technicians which can take over a week or more) or
3. always buy a new Fridgidaire or Whirlpool so I know they are trusted and have been building the same fridges for over 20 years.
Don't buy a large appliance from Lowe's. It's all smoke and mirrors and they don't care to actually good products to their local community.
way more expensive then every body else…
way more expensive then every body else . home depot is always less for the same products and sometimes almost half the price ... why is that .. i bought a window regulator from home depot for $66.00 and same product at lowes was $119.00 why is that and by the way this product was not on sale in any of both stores . that was the regular price... this is one of many products... lowes you are loosing alot of customers you got to smartin up
