Lowes price mach guarantee is not…
Lowes price mach guarantee is not really a guarantee. I met all the criteria for a price match such as being in stock, in store. Lowes Item number 330688982 which is a car port is priced 1,999.99 at Lowes. Identical item with exact model number is being sold at Home depot for 1349.00 regular price, not on sale, not one time item, not damaged, not open box. They denied price match! the reason? Home depot has low stock and it is priced unfairly. I have read lowes price match fine print policy and there is zero mention of low stock or unfair pricing being a reason fro denying the price match. go figure. this is very unproffesional and complete disregard for thier own so called GURANTEE.
*LOWES CANADA - THE WORST ON LINE SHOPPING!
* 8 days after placing the order it is not delivered it is not shipped and I am told that I can not cancel. They took the money from my account immediately when I placed the order but now are sending me on a up to 21 days spin to "investgate" the case between the vedor , UPS and their office!
Horrible! NEVER LOWES ON LINE AGAIN!
Don't waste your time to shop online
Their website lists all the products including so many of the products are not available at any of their stores, but they won't just post "sold out" instead they let you go through "checking availability" through a long list stores, only to find "0" across the list. What a waste of time !!! I HATED IT!
This Company is completely incompetant
This Company is completely incompetant.
I decided to order an online item (because that was the only way they offered it ) . It turns out the order was lost by they're low cost equally incredibly useless shipping company (Day & Ross). I logged over 6 hours total on the phone with these clowns and finally received my refund over 90 days from purchase .
If you value your sanity and mental health . I beg you to NOT do business with them .
DO NOT ORDER FROM THE WEBSITE
DO NOT ORDER FROM THE WEBSITE
I had the same experience as several others on here. Ordered items. They weren't delivered on time. I had to call the service number a million times. Denied refund pending investigation. Never called me back with an update. Not one time. THIS WENT ON FOR 3+ MONTHS! Never recieved my items. They said they would open an investigation with UPS. They never did. I had to do it for them. Never heard from UPS or Lowe's without reaching out first. Finally I called corporate office in Quebec, media department, and accused them of stealing $500 from me and holding it hostage. Finally got a refund but this company is AWFUL and your money is better spent elsewhere. Literally anywhere else.
no training for paint department no…
no training for paint department no help from supervisors your on your one if there is a problem with product they will use any way they can to absolve them of any blame
Nobody knows what they are doing at Lowes and they are proud of it
Took over a month to get a simple appointment for a front dr install consult. After weeks of calling, Lowes kept telling a contractor has accepted the job and will call you in 72 hrs, 48 hrs, 24 hrs, nobody called. During the last conversation someone finally told me that the job was cancelled by the contractor. Nobody informed me. The installation department said this type of install is supposed to be done in store, but in store people are the one who gave the number to call them 1855-745-6937. Useless and brain dead people. Don't waste your time with this company.
Lowes.ca sells unregistered products for Canada illegal to use here …
This company sells products not even registered for use in Canada..I.e any if there shelter logic buildings bigger then 10x10 ot has costed me thousands upon thousands in wasted excavation ,cement, labour amd gravel plus trucking..the only thing they will compensate after selling a shelter not registered for use in Canada is to return money for said shelter....again have costed me thousands and now have no other option but to have a legal team go after said funds lost over this ..have their own employees recorded stating that's it horrible and they are supposed to be doing homework on what's legal to use in Canada etc..I spend a whole lot of money at lowes and now will never again personally..and my business account which soends upwards of 300 k a year wont be dealing with them anymore either....heads up for all ..lowes doesn't care about customer just bottom line ,now they have their selves in a spot that's gonna cost them thousand upon thousands in court fees and reimbursement etc because they are unwilling to help in anyway but return the product ..and then even at that still have to wait 2 or 3 weeks by time it's picked up to get money returned which I've paid interest on etc lol.p.s the interest doesn't get taken off card that was added..just the price of unit
.pretty sad big business like this costs Nirmal.people thousands of dollars like this ..,but in the end I'm sure as my legal team has explained ,it'll be a healthy lesson ..its caused financial pain and suffering ,undo stress u name it ..so thanks abunch lowes..ir horrible qith your customers ..and u don't do business properly at all ..u sold am unregistered product for Canada and make your customers eat the costs ..how nice to cost tour customers thousands worth cement stone etc and just ruthlessly rude and not willing to help at all
Useless Lowes' warranty
I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery induction stove from Lowes Nanaimo BC in October 2018. On the advice of the salesman I also purchased a warranty for 6 years from the expiration of manufacturers warranty. Last month the induction unit failed. I called Lowes who after some days delay said that the warranty was not with Lowes but Comerco. I contacted Comerco and after two weeks was told that service had been arranged through TransGlobalServices. I then called TGS to be told they did not service my area and would have to talk to Comerco. I tried to do so but got no reply. In the course of these discussions I spoke to the manager of Lowes appliance department who was both rude and unhelpful. He said "what did I expect after 3 years" and said the warranty had nothing to do with Lowes, even though I suspect Lowes made a profit on the warranty. I have now been weeks without the ability to cook on the stove top. What a useless retailer and warranty company.
I purchased 3.5KG CIL Organic Bonemeal…
I purchased 3.5KG CIL Organic Bonemeal online which was on sale that week in March this year and was supposed to pick it up in Waterloo (I live in Toronto).
For this purpose, I planned a trip to Waterloo with my family, but the next day Lowe’s sent me an email message, saying that the order was cancelled!
I’ve spent thousands of dollars on purchasing things in Lowe’s but they don’t cherish my loyalty at all!
I’ll never buy anything in Lowe’s!
Very bad experience!
On July 12th I ordered a Dyson vacuum cleaner from 200 MCNAUGHTON ROAD, MAPLE ON L6A 4E2.
Immediately after order confirmation I received a cancellation email.
Last night I was again checking and saw the same store with the same item. I thought they didn't sell it. Thus i purchased again. Today I received another cancellation email!
1- If it's not available why after one week it was still in the website!?
2- Why after one week you didn't refund my money!?
Now I purchased 2 vacuum and still don't have any !!! :(
Staff are not educated in the area's…
Staff are not educated in the area's they work in, went into the Electrical Department to purchase a new breaker switch the person sold me the wrong breaker switch even brought in the old one to match it up. Got lucky the only damage it did was blow up my Shaw Cable Box. Went to the Plumbing area just last week and they have no idea what they are doing, had to make 3 returns and still was not able to match up the parts, even brought in the old parts to be sure. Go to Home Depot the staff there are knowledgeable. Will not be doing business with Lowe's
anymore, do yourself a favour and avoid them at all costs.
Lowe(st) Expectations about warranties.
I bought 2 GSW water heaters in October 2015 time frame IIRC when they were on sale and asked Lowes to keep them in the back room until I could pick them up/deliver which was in Feb 2016 IIRC. Lowes ended up delivering to my new house under renovation and my contractor brought one over to our old house. Lowes contractor ended up installing at the old house and my general contractor had his sub contractors for gasfitting and plumbing install at our house under renovation.
Anyway the water heater in our new house seemed to develop a leak around the water inlet valves and started to rust over time and I noticed this in the last 1 month or so with water on the basement floor. The water heater at the old house where my mom lives looks to be fine (knock on wood).
I had bought the warranty from Lowes for labour warranty and they sent out a plumber to inspect it and basically said that it wasn't covered under section 10 of their terms and conditions with respect to rust and faulty installation at the joint. All of this was beyond my control but I find it hard to believe that a plumber with 30+ years of experience would install a water heater incorrectly but water heaters rust generally from the inside out and on the bottom because the sediment collects there from the anode.
Anyway I went back and forth with them for about 2 weeks and went to my local Lowes that did nothing for me and went back to Assurant the insurance company that was supposed to back the warranty service and said this is complete BS and they have this terms in place so they don't have to pay out on the warranty. My warranty for the water heater expires in October 2021 apparently but it isn't worth the toilet paper I use let alone the paper it was printed on. I tried escalating to a "Supervisor" but they basically ended up telling me the same thing. Lowes corporate did nothing for me.
I ended up contacting GSW (A.O. Smith) here in Fergus, Ontario and explained the situation about it leaking and the representative gave me an RMA number and told me to peel the serial number sticker off the tank and go to the Lowes store and they would know what to do.
I setup an installation service with my local Lowes on the new tank because I figured if I get Home Depot or a 3rd party plumber to install they wouldn't want to do it (not a bundled job, don't want to warranty a 3rd party tank) or charge excessive costs for installation as there is nothing in it for them except their labour costs.
Anyway I got a new tank and ended up costing me $370+tax for delivery/installation reluctantly that I tried calling the supervisor back to get them to cover but they won't do anything for me. Anyway, perhaps this is why Lowes changed from Assurant to I believe Comerco now so perhaps they don't have these restrictions/exclusions.
Let's just say that this put a sour taste in my mouth and I will be very reluctant to buy anything big ticket from a big box store anymore but I'm not sure if a 3rd party plumber is going to be around either if I need to call them. I bought a JeldWen patio door from Lowes and JeldWen didn't backup their door either with the sweep rubbing.
Essentially a scam website
My first time ordering from Lowe's:
On the estimated delivery date, I gave them a call due to not having any updates. Turns out they've lost my package.
What are they going to do about it? Just about nothing. They have to open an investigation, which will take around 21 business days to start, at which point they might refund me.
So, they're holding my money hostage for a product that never left their possession and that they've lost.
I will never shop at, or recommend, lowe's to anyone, ever.
Patronizing and condescending is the…
Patronizing and condescending is the only way I can describe my interaction with Lowe's customer service. My online order was shipped by Purolator, the courier Lowe's chooses to use. Purolator not only by their own admission failed to deliver my item but also failed to notify me before sending my item back. The item is now out of stock which is causing a financial knock-on effect I won't even get into here. After three phone calls to Lowes customer service, each person I spoke with told me they would look into it and get back to me which no did. I finally spoke with a supervisor who didn't have the ability to help in any way and claimed there was no one beyond her to speak with. She was condescending and deflected any responsablity and in fact, tried to shift blame onto me saying I entered into a contract with Purlotar and it was between them and me. I will not order from Lowes again due to their unreliable shipping.
Bought a thermostat online
Bought a thermostat online. When I received it, no English instructions and missing labels. The electrician I hired said it is illegal to sell a thermostat without English instructions. (I have no idea if that is true or not). The electrician told me the thermostat was defective, I presume that is why it was returned to lowes then sent out to another customer without being inspected. Very poor customer service. Left me phoning Honeywell and doing all the running around. Really poor customer service. Apparently a case was created for me, but I have never heard back from lowes. Would not recommend Lowes for anything.
Worst service ever experienced
As other reviewers have said, if only there were negative star options, I'd be choosing that. Ordered a greenhouse after speaking to a fellow in eastern Canada who assured me it was in stock in the warehouse at that location. I placed my order after being told it would be shipped right away. A week later the order status showed that a UPS label had been 'created' but it hadn't moved. Two more weeks passed and no change. I emailed Lowe's and received a response saying that it would take up to 7 days to either track down the order or issue a refund. 10 days later, nothing. Sent 2 more emails and no response. I phoned the local Lowes and spoke to the customer service manager who stated that it is an online 'explosive' order and she can't do anything about it. What the *&$#@ is that? I then got hold of the outlet manager who said he will look into the matter to see about getting me a refund. I'm not holding out much hope that this will get resolved and my next calls will be to the BBB and/or Consumer Matters. By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a 'big box' store. Will never shop at Lowes again!
Received my new smoker
Received my new smoker, the box was clearly overly taped, and the smoker was obviously not brand new. Damage on the lid. I took it to my local Lowe’s and they couldn’t replace it as it is an online only product.
As usual the staff at Lowe’s were very friendly.
Stop shipping previously returned products with damage would be my recommendation.
Now I have to disassemble it and return it at my expense and time.
You have to pay for a quote
I wanted to buy a hot water tank at Lowes, and have it installed by their service people. They wanted $50 up front, for an estimate. Non-refundable. So they could quote some ridiculous price (as some plumbers are doing these days), and I'd be out $50. Be aware! I've been a contractor for 40 years. I've never seen anybody charge for an estimate.
LONG STORY SHORT- LOOK ELSEWHERE
I had never ordered from Lowe's before and I never will again. If you are thinking about ordering online PLEASE be absolutely certain that you will accept it damaged or not. I ordered a simple shelf for my workplace to be able to store products, and it came in on time. When i went to open it, I noticed that one of the shelves was cracked, rendering it essentially useless. I spoke with a customer service rep who was polite, she put me on hold after I sent her pictures and she came back advising that Lowe's said they could offer me 15% off... mind you it will cost them more to ship it back to them. While speaking with the rep, i noticed that the other end of the shelf was damaged as well in the same manner! I let her know this and was put on hold again.. I waited and when she came back she said that they could do no more than 15%.....I CAN GET 10% OFF JUST BY SIGNING UP FOR EMAILS AND DOING NOTHING! The best they can do is 15% off for an item I cannot use as intended and paid for? I honestly was willing to just keep the darn thing because I have no clue how I am going to put everything back in the box.. so Lowes is okay with putting this headache on my plate all because they can't offer a discount on damaged product that was no fault of mine.. The rep said she spoke with her manager and another dept like customer retention and they said NO. So now I will start boxing everything back up again... oh and to top it off I have to wait 2 WEEKS just to get the return shipping label!!!!!!!! So I have a broken shelf hanging out in my office that I'm just waiting to return.. Complete waste of my entire Monday Morning and no I cannot return to a store because where I am located there are no actual stores..Now I look like an idiot to my manager because I vouched for this company and said we should order the shelf from Lowes, now I need to explain to him why we don't have a shelf, why it's just sitting in my office and why we are never opening an account or NEVER ORDERING FROM LOWES AGAIN!!!
