It was by other company who wants to sell their products, or just get the payment from me.

Marketing Gone MAD

Why do I get at least 3 emails a day everyday telling me my security has expired? Trying to intimidate me into purchasing further cover suggesting the dangers of no cover. I don’t need countless emails to tell me the obvious. Please stop sending these constant run of daily emails.

DO NOT buy McAfee

DO NOT give this company your credit card details.

McAfee charged me €259.95 for an automatic renewal. When I tried to cancel and get a refund, I found it was impossible to contact a real person.

Their support email addresses are either not valid or are no-reply.

The support "chat bot" is a completely useless, automated loop that doesn't understand billing issues and just sends you back to the same unhelpful FAQ pages.

There is no clear way to call and speak to a human being about a refund unless you are from USA. Number is always busy.

Here is the worst part: After being forced to file a chargeback with Paypal, McAfee is actively fighting my refund request. They are sending documents claiming the charge is valid.

Their own refund policy, which I had to find myself (no thanks to their "support"), clearly states: "If your annual subscription has been automatically renewed, McAfee provides you with a full refund if your request is made within 60 days of being charged."

I requested my refund well within this 60-day period. McAfee is ignoring its own written policy. This is incredibly deceptive. They are counting on you being too frustrated to fight back.

The product itself is incredibly overpriced. Many modern AI-powered analyses and tech reviews confirm that the protection offered is no better than what's already built into modern operating systems for free (like Windows Defender), and other competitors offer better value.

Save your money and your sanity. This company's business model feels like it's based on trapping customers in expensive subscriptions and making it a nightmare to leave.

Horrendous

Horrendous. Pops up all the time, when you need it but in overwhelming number of cases, when you do not need it at all. I don’t recommend installing this antivirus to anyone. The worst part about it is that it blocks all programs and sustainability of the entire os .

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. My subscription was auto-renewed although I am reasonably certain I turned auto-renewal off.

I have been very poorly for several weeks hence missed the renewal notification, and it's impossible to get in touch with them as they just leave you hanging on the phone.

They are constantly trying to sell subscribers additional products, all in all just annoying, and there a plenty of far superior products from other vendors.

This company is quite disgraceful. Nothing works. Not their online support chat, not downloading invoices. Everything is 'hit and miss'. Makes me wonder whether my money is wasted paying for their products, which probably don't work either

Scammers

Scammers! Please check your accounts to avoid yearly withdrawals from your accounts, without your consent. 109.99 pounds was taken from my account and I never set up a direct debit. My bank and I contacted them and they refused to pay, claiming that I was given the item paid for. Sadly, I never wanted or got what I paid for. Be very careful everyone.

Close to scamming

Intrusive pop-ups, and incredibly slow VPN connection that BLOCKS internet connection for several minutes and that CANNOT BE STOPPED while trying to connect and blocking unless by turning off the laptop. I renewed this by mistake, and for the price I am paying it's beyond absurd.

Hi,
I keep getting constant mcafee popups lately. So many that I cannot use my laptop. As soon as I delete them they pop up again immediately. This is pretty crap. I pay for mcafee cover, I wish that I hadn't bothered . W T F is going on.

Shocking Service

So rang to renew my subscription and I am still on the phone after nearly two hours how long does it take I have been with you now for a long time and usually I ring I ask for a good price which they normally do and then I renew so 10 minutes max today over 2 hours!!!!
The service was the worst ever and so I will look elsewhere next year I asked for compensation for the hassle and the inconvenience and the time it took so answer was we can’t give you that we will give you an extra month so by now I am losing the will to live so I have renewed but not next year their service which was really good is now terrible

They asked me to send them emails photos and gave me an email address that isn’t even manned

Soon to be an ex customer

Preloaded McAfee on new laptop deleted as soon as laptop set up complete. Now getting emails saying they (McAfee) have checked my internet profile and am in danger all over. Also emails saying I am now protected. No pressure eh? Trying to scare / bully people to buy their bloatware product. Usual dishonest selling practice all over the internet.

I purchased the above installed it. Then got a message I could not install as not enough space on C drive. So I started a chat with them online hoping they would help. How wrong I was the bot kept asking same question, then got someone else who had trouble understanding my problem. What poor customer service.

Scammers

They have taken four annual payments totalling over £400 despite us having cancelled over four years ago. We have had no correspondence saying they were doing this. They admit we don’t have a service from them but claim they can’t find the payments despite being given the reference numbers from our bank. We can recover the last payment via charge back but will have to go to the FCA to see if they can help with the rest.

I bought the Antivirus Protection for my laptop but it only gives me the option to put it on my phone. Am now trying to cancel my subscription which is IMPOSSIBLE! Why should they be allowed to make it so difficult to cancel your subscription?
