Absolutely unacceptable experience at MediaMarkt.

I bought a vacuum cleaner that, after just 30 minutes of use, proved completely unsuitable for carpets due to very weak suction. I returned the next day with the product already cleaned, yet the staff refused the return. Then they forced me to clean it again without water. only to claim it was still “not clean enough.”

This was clearly an attempt to avoid taking responsibility. I had to argue just to get a refund for a practically new product.

Terrible customer service, unprofessional behavior, and abusive return practices. I strongly do not recommend this store.

Convenient

We purchased two Apple Iphone 16 ( had to purchase online as would not sell to us in store). The phones arrived in sealed boxes and when we opened the boxes we found just pieces of broken glass to make up the weight. We went back to the store and they took notes but we could see they didn't believe us.

I recently ordered 6 appliances across 3 different orders and the service was quite good.
I had a couple of delayed deliveries and upon calling their customer service, they sorted it promptly.

I wanted to buy a camera in a media markt shop in München but at the cash register the wanted to force me buy a guarantee for Eur 30! Don t buy there as they are nit honest with the prices displayed but check Saturn first.

This is my first and last purchase with mediamrkt and it was very bad experience

Don’t use this company so poor with Customer Service. This is not the first time I have purchased from them and I should have know better. Booked Delivery and installation for a Cooker for morning which they say is 9 in morning until 3 in afternoon. It’s now 7.45 and still no Delivery.

Have spoke with the driver on phone to say he would be along before 3 then called again to say 7.45 and now a no show.

Terrible company from the raffle to get served to the nightmare of a delivery treating customers so poorly.

As I said I should have know better. Don’t Use This Company they don’t put customers first.

Super helpful shop staff…. Cant remember her name but she has worked at the shop for over 15 years. Home delivery on time and in perfect conditions. Again very nice delivery men"

We purchased a new TV in good faith from a MediaMarkt store. When we brought it home and unpacked it, we discovered the screen was clearly damaged.

We reported the issue immediately and returned to the store the following day with the TV. Despite this, the store claimed that we had caused the damage and refused to provide an exchange or refund. We were also informed we should have paid for their transport service, although this was never offered or explained at the time of purchase.

We are now left with a 650 euro broken TV in a box and no resolution. We have escalated the matter to OMIC and are prepared to take the case to court if arbitration fails.

We have since been informed that consumers benefit from significantly stronger legal protection when purchasing online compared to buying in-store. It is unacceptable that a customer who reports damage immediately after purchase can be denied a remedy in this way and where consumer rights are clearer and better protected online.

This has been an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience, and we expected far better customer service and accountability from such a large store.

My order is pending for more than a month, no customer service, all they say we escalate and come back to you in couple of days! I call back again after a week same answer, really annoying! I’m asking for a refund but they won’t process it! Never seen something like this! Will never make a purchase from mediamarkt España and highly not recommended! Rather pay more but save the time on the back and forth with customer services.
