They have great food that somehow didn't make it to market. But it's fine! I've come to rely on their delivery as a way to avoid going to the supermarket which in Massachusetts where I live is exspensive.

I have been using this company since February of 2020 and I am receiving all of my groceries from them. The products are of good quality and the prices are fair and timely delivery. I recently had an issue with theft of my package. The customer service was very helpful and refunded my cost even though it was not the fault of the driver. I suggested that future deliveries are hidden not only for me but other customers. Very satisfied with the service and will recommend in the future.

The five stars are retrospective to when I lived in a house and could leave recyclables on porch for driver to pick up when they left my box.
Much organic food is available as well as some brands not generally available in grocery stores. Prices are sometimes lower than in stores for brands available in local stores.
Folks on the support line try very hard to be helpful.
I really relied on my boxes during COVID when I avoided going into stores. I now live on 5th floor of retirement community and still love the contents of my boxes but since I no longer have a porch, delivery issues are a problem.

I believed I had to give a credit card just to join. They charged me $40 without my knowledge and then shipped me an actual box of crap. Citrus drinks when I'm allergic, bread, some random chips... be warned... if you want to look at the market, you must give a credit card and you will be charged. There is no world where the price justifies what you receive. I wouldn't eat a single thing in the box I received nor did I consent to the purchase.

I have stopped buying produce from my local grocery stores. This is especially true for mandarin oranges. They all seem to be affected by citrus greening disease which makes them taste like nothing or else they taste like they are fermented. I got several produce items from Misfit Market and every mandarin tasted delicious and the rest was great too. And it was all delivered to my doorstep free which is great as I live 15 miles from the nearest grocery. Great products, great service, and it’s all delivered! Couldn’t ask for more!

There is a real problem with this company and customer service. There is NO customer support, just AI agents. There is no person to contact!!! I had an issue with an order and my only option was email. FIVE hours later I finally got a response that was very underwhelming. Everyone should avoid all companies that leave their customer support to frustrating AI agents instead of an actual human doesn’t deserve our business.

Customer service is amazing. They respond so quickly! If you do receive something that is damaged, they take care of it so quickly. Great experience.

I’m very happy with Misfits Market. They have a good selection of food stuffs and other household supplies, and they deliver it right to my door. I also like that they help the environment by selling imperfect but still perfectly good produce. It’s often fun to open the box and see giant sweet potatoes, undersized but cute apples, or a single leek that’s bigger than my entire forearm. I’ve been using them for several months and will keep using them going forward. I did have one problem with the delivery company not being on time and letting the box sit over the weekend so all the produce was spoiled, and when I filled out the weekly delivery survey indicating the problem, customer service reached out and immediately refunded the whole order. I haven’t had any further issues.

Excellent produce; huge choice; great convenience (as I usually skip delivery every other week as I buy too much when I do place my order!); prompt, responsive customer service…plus, Misfits provides that little feeling that one is doing a little something right/good & making it convenient to do so.

Misfits is great! Organic, fresh fruits and vegetables delivered weekly right to my home…what could be better! Lots of other items can be purchased too. I hardly ever go to the grocery store. Thank you Misfits!!

Misfits Market is a wonderful way to save food from going to waste.
And they have a wonderful Flex Plan, which allows you to treat them just like an ordinary supermarket or grocery store. In other words, under the Flex Plan, you can order just when you want without them doing automatic recurring deliveries of possibly unwanted food to your home. And without them doing automatic recurring withdrawals from your bank account or credit-card account.
The only hitch is that you must proactively choose the Flex Plan when you first join Misfits Market. However, once you've chosen the Flex Plan, you're all set: you're on the Flex Plan until you proactively change it or terminate your account.
Customer Service was very helpful in explaining the Flex Plan and other plans and how to get to the Flex Plan.

Misfits Market used to be a reliable, low-cost option for groceries with clear, respectable moral goals behind their business model. I started purchasing from them about two and a half years ago, and I've had their plus membership since they started it in 2024. Since then, prices have gone up to be higher than regular grocery stores, and quality has severely gone down. I have received fully rotten and moldy produce on four different occasions (apples, peaches, corn, and potatoes, respectively). I have received bug-infested produce, well past the point of being able to clean and use it. I have received frozen and non-perishable items with packaging that was so destroyed that the food could not be considered safe, including several-inch cuts sliced through bags of frozen meats and opened bags of chips, both advertised as either overstocked or on sale due to branding/package changes. Now, they're also using an AI "customer care" bot to respond to these issues. I loved Misfits Market when they were delivering what they promised, off-size or uglier produce and grocery items that were perfectly fine to consume but not perfect for regular retail sales. It is not worth the money to be overcharged for likely-unusable groceries. My annual plus membership expires September 21, and I will be letting it end (and never purchasing from them again).

I love the overall goal of the company which is to reduce food waste. I also love the convenience of having it shipped to me. The only issue I’ve had is with the delivery service and the company reached out to them directly and has respond to all of my messages very quickly.

The mission drew me to Misfits Market, but the quality of the food keeps me. The fruits and vegtables keep longer than what I bought at the grocery store. Not only does this save time, it cuts down on impluse buying. So, while it initally feels like I am paying more, I am spending less.

I loved the concept - saving food waste and delivering at a discount. However, neither turned out to be reality. In fact, the business model and order process added to my anxiety, making grocery shopping more hectic than running to the store multiple times in a day.
If you try it, be committed to recurring orders and open to surprises if you forget to edit your cart in time. Gmail sent all alerts to my junk, except the order confirmation (when it’s too late to edit), leaving me with a far overpriced box of foods I didn’t ask for.
Their produce I was sent was perfectly fine, seemingly not rejected produce but also not sold at a discount. For example you can get 2 pears for $5 (non-organic). After shipping costs and driver tip I paid far more than grocery store prices.
The one time I was able to edit my order prior to shipping, half the things I wanted were out of stock.
Of the 3 shipments I received, two had punctured ice packs with leaked gel on my food.
In case of urgent customer service assistance need, you will not be able to reach a human for days. The chatbot will do its best to help you but I found it inaccurate about instructing how tos on the website.
The story they sell is lovely but the reality is wasted money and a business model that makes it difficult to correct things, but locks in your recurring payment.
