1 star is generous! Paid for a membership plan and get emailed about having a free account! On top of that can't even get verified as promised after copy pasting the links to my profiles! Then I email them directly and get the same stupid auto replies to use their forms that continuously give error codes. I just want my money back at this point.
The user experience, along with the work that offers makes it a great app for translators and lyric writers
Horrible, horrible experience using Musixmatch - and my issues still have not been resolved. I paid for the PRO account so my lyrics would be live on Spotify when my song was released. The lyrics did not feed to Spotify. Their customer service bot was down. Their AI system created the completely wrong lyrics for my song. Their platform would not allow me to "send" the edited lyrics. I wrote an email to MM. It took them 3-4 business days to reply. They said everything was working. Now the butchered/wrong lyrics from their AI is feeding to my song on Spotify. I wrote them another email - no reply. It's been 3 weeks and no resolution. Horrible platform and even worse customer service
Musixmatch publicly claimed they contacted me through Trustpilot, but Trustpilot Support confirmed they did not.
I am an artist using Musixmatch Pro. Several official releases by KØCMOC are live on Apple Music/Spotify and present in FreshTunes with UPC and ISRC metadata, but they are missing from my Musixmatch Pro Roster. Because of this, I cannot add or sync lyrics for my own released music.
Examples of missing official releases:
- улыбаясь страхам — release date 2026-04-07, UPC 5063825125407, ISRC AEA0Q2674738
- Home — release date 2026-03-27, UPC 5063825025097, ISRC AEA0Q2653753
- где я теперь — release date 2026-03-20, UPC 5063825004801, ISRC AEA0Q2649879
- легенда о 54 — release date 2026-03-13, UPC 5063825024588, ISRC AEA0Q2653698
- Любовь 2 — release date 2026-03-08, UPC 5063673536288, ISRC AEA0Q2643314
I already used Add missing release multiple times, submitted album/single links, waited far more than 48 hours, and searched by individual track titles in the Roster search bar. Nothing worked.
Musixmatch replied publicly to my previous Trustpilot review saying they had requested my email address via Trustpilot so they could investigate. This was not true through Trustpilot's official system. Trustpilot Support confirmed in case #02931028 that Musixmatch did not send an official information request. Trustpilot also explained that if a business uses the built-in request tool, it automatically triggers an official email notification. No such email was sent.
This leaves the customer in an absurd situation: Musixmatch says publicly that they requested contact details, Trustpilot says they did not, Trustpilot does not allow me to publish an email address in the review, Musixmatch's email channel only sends an autoresponder, and Musixmatch Pro Messenger eventually says I must subscribe to a paid plan to unlock dedicated human support.
I contacted Musixmatch Pro Messenger again with the artist name, account details, profile link, UPCs, ISRCs, Apple Music links, and the Trustpilot case number. The bot still pushed me to subscribe for human support.
This is not a premium feature request. It is a basic catalogue/roster mismatch. Musixmatch themselves said missing releases can be caused by duplicated or mismatched artist profiles in their catalogue. I need a human to manually check the KØCMOC artist catalogue and attach the missing releases to the correct artist profile.
I got a quick response and above satisfactory.
It's service is good but must improve the way they review verification of free artist account at least they could take like 14 days.
Great site to contribute and add lyrics to songs. Very recommendable.
the lyrics are wrong like almost always. the worst part is they get uploaded to spotify so spotify often times has very wrong or weird lyrics. i hate this website it annoys me so bad bruh. and the best part is that the lyrics are considered "confirmed" so you cant even change them but they shouldn't be confirmed because they're incredibly incorrect

I released a new song in May and it took a while before the lyrics appeared on Spotify and longer still before they were synchronised. I pay for this service and it is annoying to have to email them again and again to get things moving. Despite the synchronised lyrics appearing on Spotify their site states they need to be verified. They told me everything looked fine on their end but it obviously isn't. Now I have discovered 3 names appearing on my record as collaborating to compose and write lyrics with me. I have never collaborated with anyone to write or compose songs so not only is this factually incorrect but also raises the issue of how secure my account is. I have emailed them with screenshots and still waiting for an explanation and apology.

I'm a music fan of various bands and because most of them don't add the lyrics to the platform, music fans like myself are forced to add them to appear on apps like Spotify. It's ok, i don't mind adding lyrics of my favorite bands. But most of the lyrics are either incomplete, full of errors, or simply wrong. And you can't edit them because "you are not a curator and the curator said the lyrics are correct". According to their lyric transcription guidelines you're not supposed to copy from other people (probably extends to booklets), so most of the lyrics are full or gramatical errors or wrong words because you aren't supposed to check other sources. And also there's no option to report wrong lyrics. And I already did all of the steps to turn into a curator and still I wasn't invited. I believe that the curators itself don't even check the song for errors or incompletions, they just accept, which is something you should discourage. And also the Ai transcriber isn't any better. The app is full of bugs and its so slow to synchronize the songs. Takes too much time to load the lyrics and sometimes even shows the wrong song. Do better.
6/7 edit: I read your reply and I'm sorry but it's inconvenient to download another app just to have some person to correct lyrics. You should add a option on the app to make a suggestion to correction and it will be appear on some online curators, would make it way easier.

Musixmatch is the best when it comes to all things lyrics for songs. Big up to the team!
Problems with unknown people taking credit for my work and difficulty removing them manually or through the help desk as the AI assistant goes around in circles and difficult to get human assistance and I am at the top of their leader board at the current time.
Since writing this most of my problems have been resolved by MusixMatch and my publisher. Not all response is taking time. As yesterday I played the lyrics of one of my songs on YouTube and the wrong person was credited for the lyrics even though the distributor credited me. To me this should be there top priority as I was at friends house and she thought this other person had wrote the song. And with my publisher the person has inserted themselves as a Colaborator as it is in several songs he claims authorship it does not seem like a database error is taking time. If I was a major label it would have been done yesterday.

The specialist was very helpful in solving the issue, and he deserves the highest praise!
F hell with their constant "error occurred" shit. Why can't we all just have another option of posting lyrics? F monopoly clowns

Updating my review for transparency after being helped by customer support. They reached out to me yesterday and today, June 30, 2026 and July 1, 2026. They refunded the difference between the plan costs with little effort needed on my end so money was no longer wasted on a product I didn't receive. Much appreciated; however, the review only goes to 3 stars because if it takes a public review to get a refund, that is not a good policy. Musixmatch needs a better in-house support system that is responsive to customer needs. The AI chat bot currently implemented will lead you in circles with no actual resolution.

This company is more focused on taking your money than actually assisting with helping. I renewed my annual Grow Plan on June 17 , 2026. On June 20 , 2026, I downgraded to a Basic Plan for $30 annually in preparation for my next billing cycle. This immediately and automatically switched my account from Grow to Basic. I tried to request either a refund or to have my account reverted back but, the AI help bot is useless and there is no way to contact an actual representative. I highly recommend using LyricFind instead which is cheaper and more focused on actually helping artists. I will only being using Musixmatch when I am required to moving forward. Terrible user experience and customer support.
