CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE - GDPR RELATED
I have previously asked Nordnet to close my account with them.
However, I still receive emails from them saying that I need to login to their platform to read the emails.
I then asked them via email to MAKE SURE MY ACCOUNT was closed, and if it was not, then close it and delete every bit of information they have on me.
NOW I RECEIVE AN EMAIL BACK THAT THEY HAVE ANSWERED MY REQUEST VIA THEIR PORTAL?! LIKE ****, WHAT IS IT YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND?

Trouble logging in
Not the worst complaint, just keep getting kicked out of the app over and over and having trouble logging in.
Any reason why? Often when I come in, I am only in there for like a minute before it kicks me out again then I can't login

I have used a lot of trading platforms…
I have used a lot of trading platforms in the past but the experience with Nordnet has been anything but joyful.
First I am approved to start buying stocks. I build up a portfolio and then my account gets blocked after trying to change my password. (BTW they don't have a simple reset password functionality. I have to submit a long form, almost like it we are in the early stages of the internet era)
When you try to reach out to customer support, you always start as no. 30 in line. First time I had to wait more than an hour before reaching an agent. I trying other times but gave up after hearing that I am again no. 30 in line. Maybe it wouldn't take that long if they also had the phone lines open outside of 9-17.
The platform is sort of intuitive but far from the best. I like that you can see other portfolios in Shareville but when I try to link my Shareville and Nordnet account it instead logs me out and I can start over. Its an endless loop.)
I am still waiting for Nordnet to open my account so that I can actually manage my portfolio. However it has now been 3 days without a reply.

I know there Are KYC Regulations, and I only have a small amount on the platform.
However be prepared that they one Day Will lock you out for 3 days, when they suddenly ask for ID.
There Are No warnings about it and when it happens, you cannot access your account for 3 days while they verify you.
Any open orders is just top bad, because you can't change them.
Any good trade is just too bad, because you can't sell your assets while they're ATH.

Our procedure is to inform every customer for two to three weeks before you see the pop up in your app. We need KYC from every customer - regardless of their account size.
So there is most definitely reminders and warnings about this on our platform and app. And you can access your account just fine if you do not ignore the pop ups and reminders we send you. However, in the end we need to make sure you upload your ID, which is why you are now awaiting verification.

Too expensive
Too expensive, too little visibility and keeps making the platform worse for foreigners. It is not possible to transfer currencies other than DKK out of the account.

I am sad to hear that our Nordnet platform did not live up to your expectations.
We believe that our prices are very competitive while at the same time providing a platform for most investment needs.
Regarding being a foreign customer, we are definitely not purposefully trying to hinder or complicate customer relationships. But in recent years there has been an increasing demand for us as a bank to live up to certain international banking regulations and governing laws. I understand that this can be tiresome, but every bank is required to adhere to these. So we need to ask for more information from our customers, and in this process, we try to make these requirements and as easy as possible for you.
It is, in fact, possible to transfer out in other currencies than DKK to bank accounts within Denmark. However, this is a different process than the usual one, and you will need to speak to our customer service for more help with this matter.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact customer service who will be more than happy to assist you.

Too expensive
Way, way too expensive for such limited functionality (135 DKK for both when you buy and sell shares).
The only thing it is good for is buying index fund on a monthly basis, that option is free.

I am sorry that you think we are too expensive even though we have very competitive prices and a broad offer within financial markets. It all comes down to what your needs are of course. If you need an easy-to-deal-with trading platform with easy access to trading, information, inspiration and coaching at a competitive price-level with minimum fees at 29 DKK, then Nordnet is the place to go.
