These survey systems are vulnerable to so much bias and abuse. Unhappy people enjoy complaining and could easily sabotage companies. In their current form they should not be allowed in my view.... See more

Absolutely useless. They just close a case with no opportunity to redress. The company sent out the goods, courier says they were delivered. This was not the case. The intermediate courier passes it... See more

So bad of them for not allowing some others countries apart from their selected companies, very bad service.

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Their customer service; their ability to fairly and transparently resolve disputes; and easily accessing money paid on your account are now things of the past! It is a bother to deal with PayPal now.

Enabling Sellers To Scam Their Customers

Recently ordered a coffee machine which was over £200 which i proved wasn't delivered to me, however was told that as there was "valid" proof of delivery and my challenge was closed in the sellers favour.

The valid proof of delivery didnt have my name or address on the the delivery company confirmed that the tracking did not relate to my address. The only thing on the delivery confirmation was "East Sussex" PayPal advised that their policy sees this as valid as Under card network rules, delivery confirmation showing delivery to the city/postcode area may be accepted as proof of delivery, even where the recipient’s full name or address is not displayed.

This means that you could send an empty box to somewhere near buyers address and this classes a valid delivery. The delivery company wont speak to the customer as they have no record or them and PayPal will close the dispute in the Sellers favour. Easy way to scam people huh?

The delivery confirmation also stated it was delivered to a front desk reception and none of the evidence I uploaded to prove it was not delivered to me was classed as valid. This included the delivery confirmation without my name and address on, also the weight of the package sent was no where near how much the machine weighed, an email from the delivery company to confirm the tracking provided was not linked to my address, an email from the company who i purchased the item off saying they had messed up and i would receive a refund and a google maps screenshot of my address showing i do not have a front desk reception.

I managed to get a refund from my bank which means PayPal are less secure then using my bank. I guess they still get their 10% if they enable companies to scam their customers.

Review: Lack of Support During Medical Recovery & Refusal to Accept Reasonable Repayment Offer

am extremely disappointed with the way my situation has been handled by PayPal during a period of serious medical recovery.
After recently being discharged from hospital following an operation, I contacted PayPal proactively to explain that I was experiencing financial difficulty and wanted to arrange a manageable repayment plan. I made it clear that I was not refusing to pay — in fact, I offered to complete a full income and expenditure form, as I have done successfully with other creditors, who accepted this without issue in order to set up an affordable arrangement.

However, PayPal insisted that they must be granted access to my full credit file, including visibility of all other creditors, before they would even consider putting a payment plan in place. I was not comfortable with this request and asked for clarification about what information would be accessed and why this was necessary. No clear explanation was given.

I was then told that unless I agreed to this, my account would be placed into default after the 4th of the month — regardless of my medical circumstances or my willingness to repay via an affordable plan. I was also informed that this was being done because of FCA rules, which seemed to be used as justification for refusing any flexibility.

When I asked to escalate the matter, I was told it would take several days for a manager to respond. I requested that a formal complaint be raised during the call, but was advised this could not happen until a manager had first listened to the recording. I was then told that complaints could only be submitted in writing by letter — despite already stating clearly on the call that I wished to raise one formally.

The overall experience was extremely distressing, particularly at a time when I am trying to recover my health and stabilise my finances. Other creditors have treated my situation with understanding and professionalism by accepting income and expenditure information to create a temporary repayment plan. PayPal refused to do so without demanding access to wider personal financial data.

Throughout this process, interest and fees have continued to be applied, and I was informed that the account may still be defaulted even if a payment plan is eventually agreed.

I am deeply concerned by the lack of empathy, transparency, and consistency shown in how this matter has been handled.

No faith in Paypal

I used PayPal platform to purchase several jumpers from what I believed to be an English company Olyndra London. The jumpers eventually arrived after 4 weeks, the quality was poor and I wished to return them, eventually after going through paypals resolution department the claim was settled in the said companies favour. The said company told me through PayPal resolution center to return the jumpers at my cost to Australia. The cost to return them tracked was as much as the jumpers cost. I had explained to PayPal resolution center the returns procedure was advertised prior to purchase from said company to be free and easy. This is a scam PayPal allows seemingly, I have tried to close my pay pall account as their intervention offers no security it seems,

DO NOT USE PAYPAL and if you already…

DO NOT USE PAYPAL and if you already have an account I suggest you make plans to move to an alternative service. They limited access to my account and started demanding I send in proof of ID and asking me about my political affiliations. Which I have none. After months of giving me the run around they said they were permanently limiting my account access for security reasons and wouldn't advise why. I have a 960/1000 credit rating and a flawless financial history.

I have to give PayPal a middle of the road rating I use it quite often and sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad I like how it's accepted nearly everywhere you can accept payments from almost anything but when you go to do certain things it becomes extremely difficult it's hard to get a hold of people as everyone uses AI technology nowadays for their customer service but overall I keep using it so it can't be that bad right?

fraudulent Corporation

They refunded a scammer facilitating the loss of the refunded item, the have lied, not followed through on anything they said, they only say that the appeal date has passed when they didnt appeal within that time frame, complete fraudulant activity. They cannot reasonably provide the support they by law are required to, and they advertise to provide, the violate their own policy. even executive level they clearly have no care or concern of anything and they will say it is youre fault, youre doing, even when the evidence shows they are responsible. Do Not Use this garbage

Great company to bank with!

I use PayPal daily, cryptocurrency is attached to the account so buying and selling my cryptocurrency is fast and simple. I have also dealt with customer support before and it was easy to talk to someone in a timely manner. The app runs very smoothly and I believe my money is safe and secure with this company.

PayPal needs shutting down

PayPal needs shutting down. Ordered a usb lead for my iPhone and they sent wrong lead. Couldn’t get company to respond to return for the right lead so went through PayPal. I sent them a photo of the item I ordered and the item I received clearly showing both had different fitting on the end. After waiting weeks for PayPal to make a decision they finally come back with
We've reviewed the transaction(s) and are refusing your claim(s). This decision was made because if an item is materially similar to the seller's description, we don't consider it to be significantly not as described
So what they are saying is all usb’s fit all mobile phones, absolute disgrace !!!
I’m so upset I’m taking it to small claims court.
People do not use this company !!! as they do not “safe guard you” they are just a joke.

Pay pal have not got your back

It’s come to my attention that pay pal are letting unauthorised sellers sell on there platform the likes of cjs cd keys and this big platform called pay pal are meant to look after your sales if something goes wrong this is not the case as I have learned the hard way after purchasing a item from cjs keys that lasted a total of 4 days then was flagged by Sony entertainment that it was a fraudulent username and account and after contacting pay pal they favoured the seller cjs keys that supplied the fraudulent account so I do not trust pay pal at all and I’m going through another company now with them

Pay Supports Scammers With Their Irresponsible Policies

On the 2nd Feb 2026 I paid what I believed was a once off payment to an online service company. I did not knowingly authorise any sort of ongoing payment or any authority to set up automatic payments. I suppose I somehow clicked on some hidden or obscure authorisation but I certainly did not do this knowingly.

One week later, (10th Feb 2026) I received notice from PayPal that this company had charged my account a significant amount for some some subscription service that I never wanted or authorized. I immediately went into my PayPal account to find that this company, without any authority, had set automatic payments on my account and then helped themselves to my funds.

I immediately contacted PayPal who dismissed my case without reason within less than 5 minutes. It was probably done by some automated AI process.

This is an absurd situation. This means that every time I use PayPal I need to go into the account and check that the vendor hasn't set automatic payments. It makes using PayPal for secure payments a joke.

Apparently there is no way I can stop unethical organisations from doing this sort of thing and it appears that Pay Pal couldn't care less.

I’ve been trying to close my PayPal…

I’ve been trying to close my PayPal account for months with no success. Customer service repeatedly tells me I must unlink Honey and Zoom, but neither service shows any PayPal connection. I’ve removed all bank accounts and cards already. After speaking with multiple representatives, I’ve gotten nothing but the runaround. Extremely frustrating experience. Account is still not closed and customer service refuses to close it.

Bixby it's response to the little people of repayment for their mess up. O o'wal

It’s honestly beyond frustrating. As a single father with three kids, I’ve been up for over 30 hours since yesterday morning, and this stress is truly exhausting. The fact that DoorDash and PayPal can take my money instantly but take days to process a refund for their own errors, like the canceled order from Sarah's Kitchen, is unacceptable, especially when other options like Klarna are available. This delay left me with a negative balance, causing immediate financial hardship and preventing me from providing dinner. The mental stress and total lack of accountability, from payment to botched delivery and customer service, is truly unacceptable. At least my kids' dinner was delivered, but that doesn't negate the overall negative impact."
