I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. I booked a package with flight, hotel and rental car. I arrived in Newark and discovered that Hertz has no available cars. There are no cars available at any counter in the airport. I called Priceline and asked for help and they told me they would verify with the car rental company that there were no cars available and refund within a week. But they had no way to help me actually get a car. If you book through Priceline and things fall through. They do nothing. Nothing. I’ll have to Uber and pay the Uber costs out of pocket.

BE AWARE

BE AWARE - DO NOT USE PRICELINE!!! Make sure you do not open their website as they often pop-up on hotel website when trying to book direct. This company somehow captured a reservation that was booked on Crown Plaza's website. I never use Priceline because I don't trust them after hearing of such horror stories from others. Ironically, I didn't realize Priceline booked this reservation until I called the hotel to cancel. It's best to book directly with the hotel for better service and flexibility. I am still in the midst of resolving an issue with Priceline and STRONGLY encourage you to book directly with the hotel or hotels.com. Priceline is terrible on so many levels.

If I could give them a “0” I would

If I could give them a “0” I would. They focus on quick cash grabs with their no refund policy. Even if you ask to cancel within 5 minutes! Do not buy from Priceline. Customer service is also awful. I rented a car and tried to cancel within 1 minutes, yes, 1 minute, and they told me that there was a “no refund” policy. Here I am, no rental car and a charge of $264.00. Scammers!

Hotel cancelled my stay

Hotel cancelled my stay, as they did not have working phone or wi-fi. They emailed me the cancellation. Priceline won't accept the email as proof of cancellation and won't give me my money back. They say the can only confirm via phone, and the hotel literally hasn't had a working phone for a week now. I've fought with so many different reps, including a manager (Karen 34009120) who are just useless. We're going to have to file a fraud charge with the bank, because Priceline won't issue a refund after our reservation was cancelled by the hotel. This company is so unethical.

Priceline being fraudulent

I called two days in advance to cancel 1 of 3 rooms I booked due to a family member having an emergency surgery and the supervisor and 4 different agents lied and said they contacted the hotel property manager to refund me and they did not! I stood next to the hotel manager during the call and they never called but insisted that the hotel manager declined my refund. Priceline is fraudulent and used the hotel managers identity without speaking directly to her. Never will I use Priceline again!

Priceline Algorithm Doesn't Work

I put in an airport destination which is of course located in one state. Priceline's list of 'Recommended' hotels evidently included hotels in a totally different state. It was a non-refundable booking. I attempted to get it fixed to no avail. I'll never use Priceline again.

Never use Priceline.

Booked a trip with the extra $170 insurance. Had to cancel my trip 1 day before travel due to emergency room visit for Salmonella. I canceled my trip and Priceline has only refunded me $170 of the $3200 that I paid for said trip. Priceline said I canceled the insurance and not the trip. This is a scam they have done to many travelers before. Their insurance company: XCover has emailed me that my case in under review and now they fail to respond to my last 5 emails. Do NOT use Priceline !! If you pay for the insurance, you are wasting tour money. Company is based in India so that explains it !! #Scammers

Scam company

I’ve been booking with Priceline religiously for over 5 years.

I was totally screwed over and customer service is totally useless. Their insurance company that they partner with XCover is a joke too.

I was charged $100 more and never received any credit or they didn’t fix it.

Never ever do the express deals. They gave me a basic ass small room for the price of a suite at a casino hotel. The insurance failed when I was checking out so I couldn’t even cancel it. Priceline’s useless support is no good and XCover never reached out to me when I contacted them. They are rude and incompetent.

Shady business and their overseas support is shameful.

I don’t think I’m going to book through Priceline anymore.

Use Priceline if you want to get ripped off

I booked a REFUNDABLE hotel for May of 2027 on Monday, 6/15 at 4:30pmEST. Three days later I needed to cancel the room. In further reading their "cancelation policy", it states:

Cancellations before 06/16/2026, 01:20 PM (America/Los Angeles) are fully refundable. Bookings cancelled after 06/16/2026, 01:20 PM (America/Los Angeles) are non-refundable. There is no refund for no-shows or early checkouts.

What an absolute SCAM! So they get to keep your money.

I bought my tickets months before my trip and my flight got cancelled twice by the airline and when i tried to get a refund I was given the run around until I had to be very vocal. Now I am sitting here waiting for a refund that may or may not come. If I don't hear back soon I will be contacting my bank to reverse the charges because this is not how things should be done. I will no longer ever do business with them or tell anyone to do business with them.

Very poor customer service from…

Very poor customer service from Priceline. I booked my flight through Priceline, but every time I called for help, their phone system kept transferring me to Emirates. Emirates clearly told me they could not make changes because the ticket was issued by Priceline.

I contacted multiple numbers, including 800-774-2354, 773-922-6363, 877-477-5807, and 877-477-5800. Every time, I faced the same issue and could not reach the correct Priceline department.

Priceline needs to take responsibility for bookings made through its platform and provide real customer support instead of pushing customers back to the airline.

Priceline is such a CROOKED company_ It’s Disappointing

Priceline is such a CROOKED company when it comes to issuing refunds. It has trained its representatives to be very dishonest. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK ANY SERVICE THROUGH THEM ❌❌❌!!! They will lie about everything to find ways to not refund you. From my experience, all the representatives I talked to are just a network of thieves who are all aligned to act with the highest level of dishonesty to steal customers’ money.

I booked a hotel in Jacksonville NC through them for 3 nights. When I came to that hotel, I checked in and went to the room. I then put my stuff down and went to take a shower. I noticed there were no towels in the bathroom. I stepped back into the room and saw one folded towel, when I unfolded it, it was dirty like something someone wiped his ass with. On top of that, after the few steps I took barefoot in the room, dog fur was all under my soles. Concerned for my health, I immediately packed up my belongings, when down to the front desk, explained the situation, and dropped the rooms key stating the room was totally unsanitary. The lady at the desk apologized and told me to call Priceline regarding my refund. I went to a different hotel and immediately and called them upon my arrival. During the call, the representative who picked up the phone told me that I would be refunded within 3-5 business days. 15 days later, there were still no refunds. I called again. This time, their representative told me they had attempted to reach out to the hotel and couldn’t get in touch with them. I called the hotel, which in turn, told me Priceline never called or emailed. I called Priceline again and revealed they were lying as tactic to hold my money. That agent, this time, told me the hotel denied the refund for lack of proof. Mind you, I had called the hotel, which confirmed having released my refund! I called Priceline again and told them that the hotel released the funds and they are holding it. The agent I talked to that time told me the case is already closed, and I needed to ask the hotel manager to email them 🤦🏻‍♂️. Priceline is SUCH A SCAM! I will NEVER used them again!

Priceline+Hotel owners=

Horrible experience, more than once. Used Priceline app, Booked at hotel, when I reached hotel they double charged me for deposit on a room. Then when I asked about it, hotel employee flew into an outrage and called me defaming slurs.
I just couldn’t believe what she called me and I asked to talk to the manager.
She said that no one available and that it wouldn’t matter anyway bc she was refusing to give me the room I had already paid for

I had never been rude or anything and another customer who had overheard the woman yelling at me came over to try and calm the situation down.
She then turned on the other customer, telling him that if he wanted to be supportive of my position, then she would just show him the way out as well. She reminded us both that she did not have to let us stay there. I walked outside to take a breath and regroup see what I could do from here. I called Priceline. I called the police because as far as I seen it, I was just robbed of $100 plus. The police told me they would not even come and take a report as it was a civil matter and Priceline said that they had to get with the owner of the hotel in order to approve my refund of what I’ve already paid.
So I was left, stuck out and still out the money and tired ready for a shower. So I went to the Nextdoor hotel, which was a different brand altogether. Was la Quinta and super 8
I did find it strange that at the second hotel the same guy was running there as was at the first hotel. so he did the same thing as the lady did at the first hotel he called me the same derogatory name and stated that he did not have to rent me a room. No matter if I had paid or not. So there is the second hotel of the night that I did not get to stay in. So after that, I decided I would try to call Priceline back and I would just have them book me somewhere else. I explained to the gentleman from Priceline I told him about the problems that I had previously, and I wanted to book another room, but not at one of the two places where I had already been refused I did not want super eight and I did not want La Quinta . I was very clear about that so he looked up some hotels and told me about the amenities I said wouldn’t sounded good so he booked me for it. When I got onto my app and began looking at his reservation, he made it was for the same place that I had just told him not to put me. So there is three rooms in total that I have booked and paid for, but did not get to stay at . So when I called Priceline about all three of the rooms, they said that their procedure for doing refunds is that they have to contact the property managers at each location. And those people have to approve the refund. Which I knew that they would not approve it because they are into it to make money and so if they take five reservations per night at $100 each, let’s just say and when those five people show up they immediately turn them away and never give up a key, that’s $500 per day at least that they’re straight up scamming people for!
And Priceline won’t even stand up for their customers and demand they be refunded? We didn’t ever get to step foot in the room! But paid 80$ per incident. Filed for refunds but was denied on every charge, and all Priceline can say is
“The hotel management said we couldn’t process a refund, sorry “
I can’t believe it’s left up to them to decide!?

Priceline Vacation Booking

With regards to Priceline bookings and reservations, my customer service experience to date gets a 5-star rating! First Thelon (flight booking), and Dia (seating assignment professional), went above and beyond for me and my spouse. Each representative provided excellent assistance, demonstrated patience, professionalism, and a willingness stay the course until every answer I had was resolved. While a final review is not possible until my wife's and I full itinerary experience has come to pass, for the here and now, we're extremely satisfied.

Deceitful information

Upon arrival to the Wyndham in Lincoln NE, had to wait 1 hrs past check in to access room after checking in. Also had no hot water available in the room and decided to check out early. Was not able to obtain a receipt or refund upon checking out. I will not use priceline or Wyndham again. Would give 0 stars if allowed.

I booked a stay through Priceline that…

I booked a stay through Priceline that was tied to Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres for Feb 12–17, 2026. Upon arrival at the resort, my reservation could not be found in their system despite the booking being fully paid and confirmed.
This led to a major disruption that lasted approximately 8 hours, involving repeated phone calls between myself, Priceline support, and hotel staff while trying to verify basic reservation details. Instead of a seamless check-in, I was effectively left in limbo trying to prove I had an active booking.
During this process, I was also asked by hotel staff to provide personal financial documentation, including a bank statement, which was inappropriate given that payment confirmation already existed through Priceline.
Although a partial refund of $131.29 was eventually issued, it did not reflect the extent of the disruption, time loss, or stress caused by the failure in coordination between Priceline and the property.
The core issue was not just a hotel check-in problem, but a breakdown in communication and reliability between Priceline and the resort. Resolution was slow, fragmented, and placed the burden almost entirely on the customer.
Based on this experience, I would be cautious using Priceline for important travel bookings where reliable reservation handling and real-time support are critical.

Priceline is full of shit

Priceline is full of shit. Do not reserve a car and purchase their insurance thinking you going to get the actual car you want. And then cancel the reservation because when you get to the actual place they state they don't have it for you. If you cancel the reservation you have to jump through hoops to cancel the stupid insurance. And they wont refund your money for the insurance even if you never rented a vehicle.

Complete Deception and False Assurances…

Complete Deception and False Assurances – Do Not Trust Priceline

I am writing this to warn other travelers about the highly deceptive practices, lack of transparency, and flat-out misinformation provided by Priceline’s phone agents. My recent experience booking a stay at the LELUX Hotel (Trip Number: 93301348518) has shown me that this company will use misleading tactics just to push a booking through.
1. Hidden Currency Conversion & Agent Deception
During my booking call, the agent never disclosed that the company operates out of the US or that the transaction would be billed in USD. When I received the checkout summary link, the currency was completely ambiguous with no CAD or USD indicators.
The most alarming part was the explicit misinformation from the agent. The payment summary showed two figures: 523.76, and 743.81 in brackets. Neither had a currency symbol. When I specifically questioned the agent about what the higher number in brackets meant, they told me:
"You don’t have to worry, from my end I only see 523.76 has been deducted, you're good to go."
This was a blatant lie. The agent completely masked the fact that 523.76 was USD and 743.81 was the actual CAD amount hitting my bank account. Giving false assurances to a customer to hide a massive currency conversion gap is entirely unacceptable and predatory.
2. Flat-Out Lies Regarding Hotel Amenities (Parking)
The deception didn't stop at the price. The agent explicitly confirmed that the hotel parking fee was $30. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was informed by staff that the actual price was $50.
Because of this misinformation, my wife and I could not use the hotel parking. We were forced to deal with the major logistical headache of finding alternative parking a few lanes over and walking back with our luggage. This alternative lot cost a significant amount of money, causing unnecessary financial and logistical strain due to Priceline's errors.
3. Zero Accountability and Ghosted Customer Service
When I raised this dispute with their customer service team (specifically addressing "Jenny G"), I received a generic excuse about their US location. When I followed up with a detailed breakdown of how their agent explicitly misled me on the phone, they completely ghosted me. No response, no accountability, and no resolution.
Priceline expects customers to pay for the financial mistakes and false confirmations made by their own staff. It feels like a complete scam. Save yourself the headache, the hidden fees, and the bait-and-switch tactics—book directly with the hotels or use a company that actually values transparency and customer service.
