"built by people for people" > "overtaken by conglomerate for misusing customers"
I used to love PriceRunner. It was simple, powerful, and trustworthy. I had built intricate lists, alerts, and configurations that worked flawlessly for years. Then Klarna came along and gutted it.
The app was exterminated overnight and replaced with Klarna’s parasite of a platform. My account, my saved lists, my carefully built price alerts, all gone, discarded as if customers never mattered. I was told to start over, but why would I willingly crawl into Klarna’s trap?
This is not an upgrade. This is a hostile takeover, plain and simple. Klarna did not buy PriceRunner to improve it, they bought it to dismantle it and funnel users into their predatory "buy now, pay later" scheme. The independent, consumer friendly service I once trusted has been reduced to bait for corporate profiteering.
Even the website, which still limps along, now feels corrupted. Endless captchas, freezes, invasive tracking, telemetry, and glitches turn what was once efficient into a chore. And with adblock or anti-tracker settings like Brave’s defaults, PriceRunner is practically unusable, collapsing into errors and broken functions. The user experience has been degraded into absolute dogshit.
It is heartbreaking to watch, but let us not sugarcoat it, this was a deliberate execution of a great service.

They don't vet scam sites.
Have been using pricerunner for more…
Have been using pricerunner for more than 4 years, after merger/asociation with Klarna, any quality went down, product prices only show what asociated Klarna websites, and even then it does not show all companies.
And the Klarna app is crap.
Such a shame.

PriceRunner UK is a helpful site for comparing prices and finding deals on various products. They offer up-to-date prices and useful features like price alerts. However, there are occasional discrepancies in product details and prices, and some listings might not be reliable. Overall, it’s a solid tool with room for improvement, earning 4 stars.

good, but increasingly suspicious
It does not let you flag faulty entries, and consistently display misleading comparisons.
I have used for a long time, but increasingly sceptical about the authenticity and potentially misleading tactics

they do not vet the shops they put up, and it seems like scammers know this and are all over it.
I bought something from a shop named ‘zurocks’ after it appeared as the lowest priced seller for over a week on price runner, everything looked legit but turned out it was a scam site and now I’m out £700.

When are you going to do something about Smartteck.Still showing tassimo pods available on your site.Order cancelled by them as price incorrect.Still awaiting credit which they say has been done.I have given you all this information recently.

Great ide with lists … but not this way.
I just tried the app on my iPhone and saw that I could make lists! What a great idea! That is really useful. I like that I get suggestions for what the price is if I bundle or if I buy them separate.
Until I realized that the sum shown in the overview does not include the postage and delivery?
I’m evaluating what I’m buying from the total pice including postage etc. So the whole ide falls apart with the lists. Really a petty. I won’t use it until you change that.
……..
I would like to reply to your request regarding more information but cannot find a reply button on Trustpilot. I have a screendump that I could share. Please give me an email where I can respond.
But, please read my initial explanation again. The way I wanted to use the list was a quick overview of what bundle or not that would be the cheapest for me. The only thing that is interesting on the list overview is the total price incl postage of the different options. I’ll chose the cheapest one. Why should I be interested in the item price if the postage is more on that option and exceeds the total price for other bundles with higher item price but lower postage?
