I am writing to raise a concern regarding the consistency and reliability of Quora’s content moderation practices.

Over a period of time, I have reported several instances of content that appear to go beyond the bounds of acceptable discourse, including material that could reasonably be interpreted as promoting hostility or even violence toward identifiable groups such as LGBTQ individuals, Muslims, and Jews. These reports were submitted with the expectation that they would be evaluated in accordance with Quora’s publicly stated policies.

However, in these particular cases, no discernible action appears to have been taken.

This is somewhat difficult to reconcile with my earlier experiences, where similar reports were acknowledged and acted upon, suggesting that both the nature of the violations and the intent behind my reports were previously understood and validated. The contrast with the current lack of response is, at the very least, notable.

Such inconsistency inevitably raises questions about how moderation standards are being applied in practice, and whether certain types of content are receiving a different level of scrutiny than others. It may also give the impression that enforcement is, at times, less predictable than one might expect from a platform of Quora’s scale and stated ambitions.

I remain hopeful that this discrepancy can be clarified, and that future moderation decisions will more closely reflect the standards the platform has set for itself.

Wow I this site has many bad reviews. Why are they still online? When I try to search for anything they're almost the 1st to pop up? I don't like this site they have rules for what not to post but I see posts about ppl shooting up drugs & how to pass drug tests, but I get banned for posting about my own bad relationship. Quora, used to be a good site to ask and answer questions, but now they have decided that if they don't like a question or an answer to a question, Quora will ban your account without giving a reason. If you try to contact them, all you get is a message saying you cannot log in because your account has been banned

When Quora allows the democrats and liberals to respond and say just about any vile and demeaning accusations about us as conservatives for standing up for our values and arguments; then we are banned. The explanation I got is, I violated their "get along policy" that doesn't call the left out for their posts. I was not shown or given any specifics but I have been called many names for just stating my beliefs. It doesn't seem to matter to them that I was responding to the vitriol that most of them were spitting out. I have apparently hurt their "feel bads" and I suspect that enough of them complained that Quora just eliminated me. Apparently I was the issue that was causing all the trouble. And if you wants to know what is wrong with this country it's censorship and censorship in America in general. Free speech is not free!

Quora is a platform where you can answer questions, post questions, and also share information, however, they Delete Biblical proofs especially if it exposes who the people in the land of Israel are, and who the real 12 Tribes of Israel are today, Which apparently proves WHO owns this platform. MANY BIBLICAL ANSWERS I have given, have been deleted, its as if they dont want you to PROVE whatsoever youre saying FROM the Bible. X is a much better platform, you can say whatsoever you want to, within reason of course,, freedom of speech its called. If a person ask a certain Biblical Question, then the answer SHOULD come FROM the Bible, not based on one's opinions, and when I do prove whatsoever I say, WITH SCRIPTURES, I get blocked..and often too. HORRIBLE PLATFORM.

Wish I could score less, but Quora is already just a 1 star. They are horrible here and do not abide by their own rules. Absolutely pathetic

They promote hate and intolerance. They ban liberal comments and allow religious hate questions which are repetitive and have implied hate in the question. Those questions do not get banned. The responses to that hate gets deleted and pro liberal questions get deleted. It is an unscrupulous forum to promote hate in a covert way.

Quora removed my content off my personal blogs many times.
Quora allows abusers abuse Seasoned Writers.
Quora never paid me the earnings that I made in 2021 to 2023.
Quora allows adult content to post directly under teenage girl posts.
If I could give a - 0, I would.
I'll never heal after what Quora put me through.

Quora questions may be a site to answer questions as well as to get answers, but for all intents and purposes it is still a social site where insensitive people troll. And if you ask a question about something that you strongly believe in and they use it as a way of tearing down your defenses. That can't be good for someone's mental health. Quora like Reddit uses algorithms and doesn't monitor it. Not that the moderators would do anything about it anyway. I'm commenting because this happened to me. So I blocked quora or thought that I did. I noticed that one individual commented on something that I feel particularly strongly about belittling it calling it silly and impossible. I have been thwarted so many times that I have developed anhedonia (low dopamine levels). I won't go into details about what this eventually leads to. No one takes responsibility for their actions, not quora, not reddit not even Meta.

They let people post literally whatever they want. Worst place to find info.

Breaking gdpr rules. I have reported quora to the relevant people in the uk because despite me unsubscribing many times, going on the website and removing the options to receive any emails, and emailing customer service, they still send me stupid emails about cooking tips and this breaches great Britain data protection regulations. It doesnt seem to be an isolated problem either and i hope this company gets punished.

Extremely disappointed with HypeFly India. I placed order #HFLY-756ff0ef for Nike Vaporfly 3 on 5th Feb, paying a total of ₹16,598. This included a ₹1,499 premium for next-day shipping.

​Despite the extra charge, they only shipped the item on 10th Feb. Due to this unacceptable delay, I denied the delivery on 13th Feb. HypeFly is now refusing to issue a refund or even provide a formal complaint reference number. They have charged for a service they did not provide and are now withholding my money. There is no meaningful feedback, no transparency, and no real path to correction. Context, intent, and good-faith discussion don’t matter. Once something is removed, the decision is effectively final, regardless of how reasonable the appeal is.
This discourages thoughtful debate and rewards bland conformity over evidence-based discussion. If Quora’s goal is to stifle conversation rather than foster it, the system is working perfectly. If I could rate this platform 0 stars, I would.
