Regbooksi 

Books are advertised for sale, a delivery address is requested. One might assume that a hard copy would be achieved, but NO! These are ebooks and no refund is given even if the link they sent remains unopened! Fraudulent sales???

So I ordered the Bridgerton series and too thought it was a physical copy. Then informed it was a digital download. I only checked today as I bought the series anyway. This "company" doesn't exist! They're thieves and need to be reported.
I paid upfront too. And they've STOLEN my money. I didn't receive the goods - therefore THEFT!
I checked out the address on Google Maps and checked their status with Companies House

Not a company I don't think as it's a block of flats!

And there is no such company on CH!

Doesn't clearly state these are electronic books. Once I placed the order in May 2023 I got an email from a personal gmail email adress:

Please note that you bought a digital book. Instant delivery to client email after purchase.
Download link is in ''New Order'' email.
Please check all your email folders (spam, trash)
To read this book you need a pdf reader with your device.
Best Regards

So I thought fine I messed up I will just download the PDF books they sent. (I bought the entire harry potter collection)... downloaded the first book. Went back to download the second book (in August 2023) using the same link (it mentioned I can always revisit the account & re-download the PDF books!!)

It no longer exists nor does the website. All links lead to a broken web page link.

I emailed the email provided in my order invoice, no response. Such a scam!!!! It is already so expensive to buy books I assumed it was a used online bookstore store. Such a shame.. I hope to get a refund.

Scam company. They were advertising on Google, the ad even said hardback. It turns out they only sell eBooks but the customer doesn't know this until after the purchase. The ad has now been removed following numerous complaints. I got a refund through my credit card company as Regbooksi refused, saying the sale was final. They are truly dishonest

Finally after contacting Google it appears they have listened as I can’t find the adverts for Regbooksi who were misleading buyers by ‘selling’ ebooks instead of the printed version.
I got my money back as I went through my bank, who are taking the matter up with Regbooksi
Just a shame Google didn’t work a bit quicker but at least it seems they have done the right thing now.

Same as everybody else. Bought a set of Harry Potter books, not a word in description saying these are ebooks. I now have one unhappy child. The company refuses to refund the funds as per their t&c

TOTAL SCAM - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Don't fall for this scam. Basically, they advertise that they are selling paperback and hardback books at a cheaper price than anywhere else, including Amazon (first red flag).

What you actually get is an eBook version. You then need patience and persistence to get your money back when it's pointed out that this is false advertising on their part. They initially refuse to offer refunds (red flag 2!).

Somebody needs to close this operation down, hoping someone in the legal industry see this.

It is not obvious their products are digital, you only find this out after your purchase, and in my case they tried their best to refuse to give me a refund. (but they did in the end)

I explained that this is a clear violation of the consumer rights act. That there was a nothing on the product page or wider website to suggest that what I purchased is a digital product, and therefore, the description is insufficient. Or to quote the consumer rights act, “not as described”.

I then quoted the "Which?" website regarding consumer contracts regulations, in particular in relation to digital products.

In the end they have actually refunded me, but I have stuck with a one star review, because I really felt I had to fight for my refund, and the website is very poorly put together and misleading. I feel a little silly for not looking into reviews before buying from a website I have never heard of, but you live and learn.

If you have fallen into the same digital product trap as me, stay polite, quote your consumer rights from official websites, and I wish you luck getting your refund.

No where does it state ebooks... I mean, they're expensive e-books at that. Will investigate how to report.

Terrible website and company. Nowhere on the website does it state that the books are digital and it even mentions 4-8 days delivery. Only when I had an email after the order did the digital books get mentioned and they refuse to refund. Only saw the other reviews after ordering so lesson learnt and will be contacting Trading Standards about this company. DO NOT ORDER unless you want to be totally ripped off!!

Same expereince as others ! Does not say on the product description anywhere that the books are digital downloads. Absolute rubbish service all round. Customer Service dont even appear to be any level of professionals, they need reporting,

I wish I had seen all the reviews before I was also scammed by this dreadful company.
Again - not clear that it was an ebook and they refused a refund. Scam artists and I cannot believe they are still allowed to run.

How long before this company is shutdown? Have to admit to being yet another who failed to investigate Regbooksi prior to placing order. Same story, saw Google ad, image showing books, 30 day return, shipping address asked for, etc, thus nothing suggesting the order was for anything but actual books. Only after the order was placed does one find that the product is merely a link to a download. I noticed during checkout that Paypal was no longer offered as a payment method, only credit card now accepted. Paypal have probably paid out so often to irate customers and are now no longer associated with Regbooksi. Took up the issue up with my Bank. Sent a report to Google and likewise to the company hosting the Regbooksi website. Using Resolver, requested full refund from Regbooksi on basis that product received was not that as ordered, and after countless emails and refusals, money was finally refunded. Should have done my homework, the results on entering their address into Google maps would have been sufficient to deter most.

purchased a set of books for my 10yr old book called Dog man as a gift from the site Regbooksi, did the transaction put my detail in said shipping was free few hours later got an email saying I bought a digital set I thought surly this can’t be right as it never gave me an option of digital set it hard copy so I contacted the number on the site 3 times no answer figures so I emailed them the response was I bought a digital book, which I told the person no i did not as that’s not what it said and if that was the case I wouldn’t have bought the books from them as these are a gift therefore I wanted my refund cause the false advertised this book. Never got a reply. This company is a scam and they should be embarrassed scamming people like this and make it clear that they sell digital books… People beware.. I wish I researched the reviews when I discovered the site and not bought anything from them but now I know

Absolute criminal of a company and blatant false advertising. Brought what I assumed was paperback copy only to be then told after purchase this is digital. Absolute false advertising. Do not buy anything from this company.

Do not order the website is not clear at all. I bought a set of book it did not say digital once I purchased got a email that I bought a digital collection and they would not refund me as the claim to not refund digital books. Absolutely shocking it’s not clear what you are buying and just scamming money!!!
