I had a Denon AV receiver which I bought from Richer Sounds Preston over four years ago, which had developed a fault. I was in a 6 year warrantee thankfully. They tried fixing it twice, but unfortunately the fault came back. So they replaced it with a new Denon AV receiver and gave another 6 year warrantee with it. Shops like these are very rare these days.

The sign of a really good company is when things go wrong.
Long story short, bought a pair of active speakers and a turntable for my granddaughter's 16th birthday. There was a problem. I contacted Richer Sounds (at Preston) and they could not have been more helpful. From Howie the manager to Matt and James, they all took responsibility for the issue and the turntable was eventually diagnosed as the problem and it was replaced.
When you spend a reasonable amount of money on a product and it is faulty, to have immediate reassurance that it would be sorted and for the company to actually be as good as its word - no fobbing off or avoiding the issue - is massive and I left the shop with a hugely positive impression, which isn't something you can say about most places these days. 11 out of 10 for customer service!

Having purchased from Richer Sounds before we knew that the staff were knowledgeable and efficient and so it proved yet again.

These guys are great. Always helpful. I dealt with Matt on this particular occasion, pleasure from the start. It’s so much better dealing with real people rather than clicking buttons on the internet. After buying the Q Acoustics 3090c speaker online on Richer Sounds website, I followed up with the rest in store a week later (minus the subwoofer, that’s to follow). Excellent service.

Bought mini hi-fi system via phone, from the Preston store. Excellent service from Matthew - friendly and knowledgeable. The kit arrived quickly, and in excellent condition.I thoroighly recommend this store to anyone looking for high quality audio-visual equipment.

Fantastic after sales service. The CD player i'd bought wasn't working quite right so contacted Richer sounds dealing with both Mat and Tom. They sent a replacement out. They were even prepared to send another out. Was a slight wire issue with the speaker as it happens but they went above and beyond to sort the problem. Nothing was too much trouble. Incredible service really, especially in this day and age were such personal service is generally a thing of the past.

Visited the Preston branch yesterday (17/8/26) to enquire about upgrading a turntable system after deciding to start rebuying vinyl. We were greeted by Howie the store manager who immediately made us feel welcome. We explained what we wanted and he soon pointed us in the right direction. We chose the package after he gave us a demonstration of the speakers in the separate experience room. This was a great option. Under no time did we feel under any pressure and left the store very happy with our choice. Can not thank Howie enough for his help and would not hesitate to fully recommend this store.

I gave the assistance a photo of the label on the back of the TV I was replacing. He gave me a price and I placed the order. Only when I came to install the new TV did I realise it was a 55inch model rather than the 65 inch model I had showed him
