Saga offered a good quote. The website was a little difficult (apparently due to a system changeover), so I had to phone Saga the following day to pay and to check a couple of policy details. My call... See more

Saga staff were helpful and explained the process well. I was very happy with the transaction

My partner was insured for a safari holiday. He had a bowel cancer diagnosis three weeks before departure. Although the operation could wait until his return, and the surgeon said he was fit to go, they withdrew the insurance. A total disgrace

Easy to deal with. No call centre. Standard English with no funny accents.

I like that you can fix the policy for 3 year. Always seem to get back to you very quickly. The price is very competitive with other companies. Have not had to worry I was paying to much for my insurance when it comes to renew.

It was quite an easy process to complete my application for Annual Travel insurance and the policy covered all my needs for what I consider to be a very reasonable price

Easy to get what I required,

The charges increased when i took my wife off the policy? And still increased even̈ thou no claims were made for many many years, why are we paying for other peoples claims?very unfair! Saga not on there own doing this!)

Reply from Saga Insurance
You increased our policy by over 50% this year , I made a formal complaint to be given a valid explanation not just we changed underwriters I heard nothing I contacted you again to insist you contacted me before the renewal date. Again I have been totally ignored I notice now when we contact you we are passed to an overseas call centre. Who are unable to forward concerns . This will be our last year with you. The service and increases are totally unacceptable

When had problems with the site they was only a call away. For less money a month I got far better cover.

My application was not difficult to make and was successfully approved

A better experience than some other insurance web sites. Good cover at a competitive price.

The insurance documents I requested over the phone to be sent to me by e-mail did not arrive,I spoke to Saga every day during week commencing the 4th August. Without any success .Ridiculous situation.

I had an attempted break in, so I went online to start a claim that took me 30 minutes trying to put my address in so I rang a telephone number for claims.
I was transferred to the claims department after nine minutes where my Insurance was checked. I told this lady what the problem was the doors locks had been broken.
I was then told I had to ring another number which gave me the contents team.
Who then passed me onto the Saga buildings claim team.
Here I was told that for lock replacement you have to pay the basic buildings cover XS of £300 and a £50 excess for locks.
What a waste of time.

I found Saga Car Insurance excellent.
Extremely helpful Customer Service who listened instead of keep interrupting !
I finalised the policy to my needs and received all documents within a week by post as I am a techno phobe.

Their website is helpful even with several complex medical issues, and the person I spoke to for clarification was excellent.
