More failed services

Back again -

Sunday service saw a delayed train and mid journey, cancelled the stop I was due to get off at which resulted in arriving at some far out station and where I would’ve arrived half an hour early I arrived half an hour late!
Today’s journey,
Arrive to connect 6 stations 20 minutes away to find the service had been cancelled. Calling the SW team the ‘replacement bus service’ an hours wait away, with no signs to the stop and no information on it online I’m now going back the way I came to then change twice to then get to a neighboring station where I’ll walk for 45 minutes to get to the station I have a return ticket for!
-This is an awful service, shoddily put together & absolutely there is no support for their outrageous claims to ticket pricing and services offered.

SW are blatantly incompetent. If they can’t serve the lines they have tender for they shouldn’t be in operation. Hand the rights to management that can.

Booking a ticket is a farce

Requested an "open return" ticket on line, and it sold me a "same day return". Cancelling the ticket cost me £10.
When I got an open return, the booking confirmation says the ticket is not valid at any London stations.
No mention of that before I parted with the money. I'm due to travel this morning and I've literally no idea how to get there with the ticket I've been sold!
Next time I'll drive. Well done SWT.

Terrible with customer information

Terrible with customer information. I’ve been sat on this train for over 30 minutes with no information other than “there is a broken down train in our way”. This is completely unacceptable and a huge inconvenience as I am late for a meeting which will now have to be cancelled because I don’t even know when I’ll be arriving at my desired destination. Shameful conduct.

Another day in paradise with this railway company. This is the first time I have used them since February. Hey presto !!!. The train I am due to catch is 45 mins late. The last train I used in Feb was also late. At least they are consistent.

Happy Passengers!

Happy Passengers! My daughter and I are taking our first train trip to Winchester since February (we are big fans of train travel). The ticket officer was very friendly and extremely helpful when we had some confusion about our tickets. Very good coffee in the station too! We feel completely safe in the station and on the train. Good work!

I'm writing to apologise for disturbing the staff at the ticket office where I live. On many occasions I've distracted one particular chap from his iPhone, to his obvious displeasure. Maybe he was conducting company business. Maybe not. Rude either way (of me, of course).

Not the best service

I've rated this 3 stars because of the modern and air conditioned train they provided, it really helped with the hot weather so tops to you for that. Other than that the fares were a joke, it cost me £4.80 for a single to go from feltham to wraysbury which is 3 stops... The staff weren't polite either. The thing I don't understand is the fact that GWR which is owned by the same parent company have a good service, why can't it be the same on SWR.

Worst train service ever,

Recently unfortunately I have had to use the trains more then I wanted to, whilst it's over 30 outside the trains are hot and stuffy the air conditioning is never on, the staff as rude and on the verge of aggressive, the trains are dirty in the middle of a pandemic. The toilets are never stocked and are frankly disgusting. I'm sure it's illegal to have such a over heated train with passengers, I did attempt to speak to the train conductor but he looked at me and didn't say anything at all helpful. This is a disgusting service the most uncomfortable journey of my life!

This is a review of Ash Vale train…

This is a review of Ash Vale train station.

The stations hygiene conditions and over all general standards are diabolical and nothing has been done to prevent the spread of Covid 19.

The station is left open 24/7 and used as a public toilet and shelter for mentally ill homeless people often high on drugs which is solely down to the station managers neglect.

The stairwells are a health hazard excrement often in corners with multiple puddles of urine, dried sick and the odd used condom.

The cycle shelter roof is littered with empty gas cans used to inhale and get high with by homeless people who have at times walked across the tracks to the opposite platform.

The station has been totally neglected for at least 5 years and the grass areas are 3ft long.

Talking to area managers and the woman at the ticket office is like talking to a crash test dummy as you get nowhere!

This issue will now be raised with Micheal Gove our local MP.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. I had to sit on a 4 hour train journey on the hottest day of the year without any air conditioning or any windows open throughout the whole train. After feeling like I might faint I went to find the guard ( who was completely absent for the whole journey- but that’s nothing new!). He was at the front of the train I asked if he would open the windows and his response was no I only have one pair of hands! No regard to customers health, safety or wellbeing. I have used this train line for years and I hate it. Compared to other train lines like virgin and great western SWT is an embarrassment. It’s always unclean, rude/ no staff, absolutely no sense of taking care of passengers,no commutation through the journey, always delays, always changing train time last minute and not updating the site. Avoid at all costs!!!

I am extremely disappointed of the…

I am extremely disappointed of the Clapham Junction platform staff. They are not only acting unprofessionally, but also I feel harassed by the ones on platform 9. I have been traveling from there for the past two years and found that they are very rude when approached or just chit cheat in group and not attend to the commuters' needs. For some time now (due to the unfortunate Covid-19 situation) the station is not as populated as before, hence more time for them to just get bored and chit chat. However, what is most upsating is that they don't observe social distancing and just position themselves in the middle of the platform. As there is an events company working the corridors and directing the commuters to ensure some sort of distancing is kept, you can only walk one specific path. But that's fine, if you could just walk along the platform in peace. But no, the unhelpful South Western staff don't bother to move out of the way and even shout at me when I try to walk around them and at the same time trying to keep the 2m distance as adviced by all posters in the station. It's been so many times that they've done that, that I feel like they single me out and harras me. I'm nowhere near the yellow line, yet they keep shouting at me to walk behind it, and give me rude looks and snears, and again whilst standing one next to another in the middle of the platform. I wonder why am I paying about £300 every month on a ticket. Is it to fund these useless staff's wages? I feel so distressed by even walking near them, as the encounters leave me feeling miserable and anxious for the rest of the day.

Awful service. Stopping train went fast from Surbiton to Waterloo with no announcement. Asked a guard why no announcement and he told me to f*** off!
