Sucking all my New Year goodwill with their pathetic performance this morning from Hampton Court. Higher fares but the same appalling service with the familiar excuse of signalling problems between Wimbledon and Clapham Junction meaning a delay of at least 30 minutes on a 35 minute journey. I hope the escalating dissatisfaction being expressed by so many other services leads to a complete overhaul of the current franchise system and the sacking of SWT who lie, are truly incompetent and not fit to run the network

If you have to work at the weekend- the trains don’t even run early enough to get to work at 9, they are on strike for the whole of December, and then lots of lines are replaced by buses due to engineering work! And btw it’s stupidly expensive- I could fly to Berlin for the same price. All the management are useless- why not make Sharon, who runs the ticket office (and station) at Portsmouth Harbour the managing director? I’m sure she’d have much more of a clue what the customers actually want from a rail ‘service’.

The strike is supposed to be at an end but according to staff trying to regularise service, then across tannoy contradictory statement saying broken down train. What a bunch of liars. Train late by 15 mins and fares gone up after a month of strikes and potentially further due in February. Absolute disgrace of a company. Shapps says he is dealing with Northern please deal with these muppets

Cancelled services with no notice. Poor management picking fights with RMT. Station staff on zero hour contracts who have no service skills , manners or interest in what they are badly paid to do.
Total disgrace to 2020 Britain.

Pathetic level of service. To be so awful must be be a deliberate act. One can only hope they are taken over or removed from duty. Either that or most of Surrey's population needs to relocate.

South Western Trains are a disgrace of a train so called service. What service?! Trains are cancelled and delayed far more than they actually run. When are the government going to remove these monkeys from the franchise? They diserve to fail and I hope for everyone they do. I use the car when ever possible now as this train company is not reliable enough for work.

Why can’t there be zero stars. Just awful. Strikes during December so the last train home during festive season is 22:40. Awful. How much longer are they going to get away with this. There are many unemployed people in the UK so why not sack the morons who strike and employ people who actually want to work.

WORST TRAIN SERVICE EVER!

I have lived in over 5 countries and never have I experienced a worse service. Absolutely shocking and massively overpriced. I hope you get shutdown or nationalized. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

No service for the entirety of December?!

Useless. The trains in third world countries run better than sw railway. And all the money commuters pay!

It is completely a joke, and they are laughing all the way to the bank with my money.

Shockingly bad service... especially since rebranding to South Western Railway and expanding Waterloo station. I can count the number of days in Oct and Nov without some form of delay/cancellation to my journey on 1 hand. Apart from the regular cancellations, SWR appears to believe that 3-8 min delays to just about every train is acceptable for some reason, completely ignoring the knock-on effects on onward journeys and missed meetings. Strangely the notice boards at Waterloo station also regularly display "Boarding" long before the incoming train even arrives... can't help but wonder whether this is to improve their stats... really wish there was an alternative railway/tube from Teddington to the City

Coventry to Watford junction to harry potter world as a birthday gift and were given the advanced train tickets to get there . When getting in the train in the morning we had no problems travelling first class but on the return journey what a joke. We had to get an earlier train back to Coventry and was told this would be no problem by one of the southwestern trains staff and to sort it out on the train so we sat on the train and thought we would just pay a £15 fee to change the ticket ( as this is what we were told ) then when the conductor ask for tickets he cheaked them and we were then told we could not upgrade and we would have to pay £128 for two first class tickets or we would have to leave the train . Not wanting to leave the train and not wanting to stand for the next hour and a half in the other carriage we payed the fee . To anyone reading this I would advise you dont believe a thing this company tell you and try to get there in your car

The most unreliable train service in the UK. There aren’t enough trains, they’re constantly cancelled or delayed... the tickets are expensive. Who is running this service!? It’s a joke.

I've started cycling in 3 days a week from Kingston. It's worth it. I get to work on time and home on time, no worrying about whether a service will run, be late or having to claim delay repay through their deliberately convoluted system. The management are utter scumbags and i don't say that lightly. using an emergency timetable and yet they still run trains late on half a service, utterly clueless bunch of morons.

Cycling saves me about £13 a day - i encourage everyone to do it!!

Not as bad as GWR but still terrible. Bypassing stations so as to avoid late-arrival compensation happens all the time. Last-minute cancellations and almost always late. Finally, no lavatories on suburban lines - in 2019?? Repeat NO LAVATORIES on suburban lines!

Words cannot describe how appalling this company is. I've tried to move my commute to trains from car but this firm has made it impossible. Even before the strikes, trains were frequently cancelled at the last minute, staff beleaguered and rude, and trains overcrowded. It's pointless convincing people to leave their car at home when what awaits them is this woeful. Government intervention needed for the love of God!

The 6.25 from Raynes Park to Hampton Court cancelled again. So I got the train from the other side to Wimbledon in time to catch the 6.36 to Woking which us handy because it goes to Byfleet anyway. But if I get pulled up for jumping one stop Raynes Park to Wimbledon I'll tell them why. Because I want to get to work in good time.
