Everyday it gets worse and worse

There is a state of emergency on SW Trains running into Waterloo everyday of the week. Cancellations, breakdowns, power outages, people on the track, crashes, fires and congestion are the norm.
Barely any journey is free of the wretched apologies over the tannoy once every two minutes for why your previous train was cancelled and why this train is late. The worst part is knowing that SW Trains are holding back the full truth of the mess they and the system are in.

Rubbish service! Always ruin my day

Rubbish..... I cant believe I still pay over 200 pounds for being waited all the times. Im really angry - having known this service absolutely unreliable. Ready 10mins early at least but....... always disappointed.
Asked refunds but always got 39p .....
Can we actually sue them? Im reallu tired of thier service. Only way to get out is to move to non SWR so free from this service.
I urge people to be well aware how rubbish this service is. Absolutely unacceptable!!!!!!

Joke service, absolute cowboy outfit.

Disgraceful service, late three times to work this week because of cancellations.

Their smug staff need to stop going on strike (Not even sure why they go on strike, they get decent money for basically doing fcuk all)
and start getting the trains running ON time and giving us a service that mirrors the vast amount money we pay for the overpriced tickets.

Absolutely terrible service..

Absolutely terrible service with constant disruptions, rail works, bus replacements and strikes.. On top of this the trains are disgustingly messy most of the time and without a working toilet.. If only they had competitors on the same lines to give them a run for their money..

Service rapidly going downhill

Service rapidly going downhill. First class seating has been 'upgraded' to include more seats with less room. The seats themselves are horrendously uncomfortable and the trays are microscopic. Trains are invariably late and service and wifi onboard is patchy. The franchise presumably won the contract as it was the lowest bidder - guess what? The service isn't funded properly! Bring back a nationalised railway.

worse than bad

worse than bad! I've been trying all day to find my daughter's case that she left on the train. For most of the day i could not get through to the lost property at Waterloo. You are not able to call or get any information from any other stations. There is only 1 number you are able to call and the message says "Your call will be answered in the order it was received" What thoughtless person came up with that. it gives no information whatsoever. Nothing about this service seems to be in the interest of the customer. What a stressful experience. still don't know whats happened to the suitcase and there is a strike for the next 4 days.

Avoid SWR.

If you want to be miserable, angry and stressed use SWR. They are masquerading as a professional operation. Its about time legislation is put in place to manage these jokers.

Yet again poor service.

Yet again poor service.

My business depends on getting around London. I now park my car on the northern line and take a tube. At just about every opportunity swt cancel/delay or scupper my plans.

I want there franchise removed

Lousy value for money.

So many faults on this service (Axminster, Devon to London Waterloo), where to start? The inability to book a seat in First Class, air conditioning which breaks down when it hits 30 degrees outside, lousy Wifi, intercom systems which are muffled and broken, the lack of clear information, perfunctory catering (sometimes it's on board, at other times not) and some unmotivated staff who are so useless you wonder if they are doing it on purpose. Most passengers are intelligent enough to appreciate that events do happen which are outside the control of railway companies and it's not possible to always be on time. But the South West complaints procedure is set up to foil and frustrate their customers. Have you tried to go on line, only to find that your attempt to register is constantly foiled? Have you tried to claim the 25% which is supposed to be returned for late trains beyond 15 minutes? Any headway in changing or improving things? Who on earth is in charge? There are decent staff, but they are badly led and not given proper training and clear guidance on expectations. I have yet to travel a return journey on this route without problems, from drivers not turning up for work to suffocating - or freezing, in winter - conditions in carriages. But one thing is guaranteed without fail: price increases and lousy value for money.

Diabolical

Diabolical. I was delayed for 2 hours and ended up having to go to another destination and pay £40 for a taxi to my actual destination and my claim was rejected because i went to a different destination, yet I had no other choice!! Terrible service and even worst customer service.

Extremely poor service

Very poor, sitting on a train, no aircon and it is having to drive slowly because the driver has no aircon as the first carriage is not working properly, water came round but only allowed one if you really needed it as not enough to go round. Baked in a very hot carriage, you would be prosecuted for leaving a dog in these circumstances.... and I had to pay for the privilege...

1 star because I am unable to select 0

1 star because I am unable to select 0. The service is terrible, each day there seems to be an issue that effects the entire service, the guard rarely gives updates and when do the reason seems to change. The trains are a mixture of old and new, each with their faults. The stations managed by SWR are full of rude staff. I'm lucky enough to get on early to get a seat however the trains always arrive with people stuffed in, it's not safe and extremely uncomfortable for all passengers. Due to unreasonable prices I have to pay around 4,000 pounds for a season ticket, which is nothing short of a joke. I commute into central London (zone 1), why do I need a ticket that covers all of the tfl zone (zones 1-6)? You are able to reclaim some money when there is a delay of more than 15 minutes, yet the compensation is worthless and works out at pennies compared to the worth of the ticket for that journey. SWR priorities are completely wrong, instead of investing into a good timely service that gives people a reliable, comfortable journey, they are investing into onboard entertainment, why? Avoid at all costs.

The service is very bad

The service is very bad, every day there are trains getting delayed, almost every weekend there’s some of the orther work going on, signal fault, engineering work, something caught fire and all sort..
I pay 240 a month for my travel and I always have been reaching late for work despite of leaving early from my house too.

The staff working on some stations don’t know what’s going, the train gets cancelled due to less members of the crew and a lot more.

The most incompetent train company in the world!

I spend £230 a month to travel to work. Every year this company increases fare, yet, they consistently fail to run trains on time. Atleast 3 times a week I encounter delays! And often nobody knows what the hell is going on. Staff are rude!
