I have had a great experience with the training room. First of all the portal is amazing and very easy to use and progress through, easily accessible on any device which is very important to me. Doing the end questions and exam is a straight forward process sharing a Google doc online meaning it’s an easy back and forth with the tutor. I really like how there is no pressure in completing anything, you just do it all in your own time so if you have some good discipline and have a lot of free time you can get it done extremely quickly or if you have a full time job like me you can space it out as much as you want, there is no strict timeline.
The only reason I put 4 stars is because my first tutor, I felt didn’t support my needs, felt like they didn’t give their full attention or effort. After getting my new tutor it has been an amazing experience and sped things up so much. Really appreciate my new tutor Claire, she made things so smooth and now I’m so much more happy. As long as you have a good tutor it’s a perfect experience at the training room.

Really slow replying to emails and assessments. To top it off my tutor left and I wasn't informed so waited 6 week for an email that was never going to arrive. Shame as the course started well. Would rather my money back than continuing with course. Disappointing.

I am currently doing the web development course. It's a very in-depth course which I am really enjoying.
My only issue was doing my exams online, as it didn't work every time, which added to the stress on the day. However, I have instead switched to going to an exam center and I now do my exams there and haven't had any problems since!
The best part of my course has been having a tutor (James) who has helped me with any sections of the course that I didn't understand and helped me with my projects. He always answers me quickly and in lots of detail, often also sending me links to look into topics further.
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to become a web developer!

Becoming a Personal Trainer is a journey. The Training Room is the best first step of this journey. As somebody who has been training at the gym for 7-8 years, I am very knowledgable about fitness and living well. But after undertaking this course, my knowledge doubled and the course really got me thinking. It was challenging but thoroughly enjoyable. I completed the course in Manchester using David Lloyd facilities and tutors Martin and Luke were great teachers and good guys. The best part of the course was the practical element, and the tutors allow you free reign over what exercises you can include in a program as long as it's evidence based practice. I recommend this course to anyone who is looking to take their first step to becoming a PT.
I did have to wait a few weeks to receive my certificate but when it arrived it meant I could start my job at Virgin Active where I can take the next step in my journey. The Training Room has give me more than a solid base of knowledge, it has given me resources I can constantly refer back to and first class support.
I completed my Level 2 and Level 3 in six weeks and I can't wait to start my Level 4 Strength and Conditioning course next summer where I will develop even more.

The tutor is good, I do the CompTIA qualifications. But customer service is non existent, no telephone line gets you through, ages to reply to emails or ignore you. Urgently need my content and it hasn't been appearing for a while. No one is here to help although my tutor did forward it .
It's really poor that we can't contact when we pay thousands, it's a huge issue. I don't know if anyone actually works here because I contact another company that seems to know more.
It's really bad, I wouldn't recommend. I would rather have studied my own and got exam vouchers. The tutor is very good and smart, but the company as a whole in terms of their support is nonexistent.
If you want support on your IT/content, I'd recommend picking another company, especially if want to get a job rather fast as this adds to your stress.
Also in regard to your response, yes I have got emails, but they are in no good timely manner and we cannot get through to speak to a human when you have a phone number. That's the worst part. My tutor and hatch digital were emailing me

I purchased AAT course paying £1500+ and advisor advised that course will be available for 3 years and you can take your time.
After one years the access is removed, PLEASE avoid this company.
They will promise the world before payment and after payment you will see unethical behaviour.
I am seeking legal advice and reporting this company to Trading standards.

TL,DR version: There's potential here for sure, but for IT courses, there's a trend in reviews. Look around to see if you get a better deal on the qualifications, especially if you're good at working independently. There's a couple of major of things that were sold to me which weren't/ haven't been delivered. So a failure to meet expectations, ones they set for me based on what they said, leads to a low review.
Well I typed out a massive review but turns out TrustPilot have a character limit, so had to completely redo it. So some context will be missing from what I say. I notice The Training Room respond to nearly all reviews, so if they want my full review I typed out, say so and you can have it.
So last year I signed up to their Cyber Security Course and it looked rosy. The sales people were good, nice without being pushy. At the start my tutor and career support advisor introduced themselves, the start of my journey was smooth. My tutor left and the change over to a new one was done well. Tutors were always good on response times and with information I asked about, so no complaints there. Although I will say I personally probably reached out to them less than others as I usually don't struggle with independent, distance learning.
Unfortunately things did not remain rosy until the end. Some communication issues creeped in towards the end, which ultimately got solved after I felt forced into making an official complaint, so won't go over the finer details here. But one significant thing that needs to be said, is that unlike my tutor handover, a handover to a new career advisor was not done well at all, and I felt that valuable job hunting time went wasted.
There was zero communication of a change in my career advisor until I went hunting to get in touch with them, and like I said I felt like valuable time was wasted during this.
To be clear, that's not a reflection on my past or present career advisor, both delivered at the start and recently. I have no comment on my new one as it is early days there, but so far she's been quite good.
So communication started well, but was very poor at a time that was vital to me as a customer.
Now for the big problem I have/ have had; Ultimately my expectations failed to be met, and my expectations were set based on what was sold to me.
When I joined, I was told that when I'm 80% done with the course, the careers team will start the CV review, job hunting etc. As alluded to, this never happened and it wasn't until after I finished all of the online course and made a complaint that this started.
I was sold an idea that there would be guaranteed interviews as TTR have corporate partners. TTR say they record their phone calls so this can be checked by them from the early days when they were getting me to sign up to check what they were selling to me. Also I will copy this from the very first e-mail I received from TTR:
"I would love to run through how we can get you certified for a IT role with one of our corporate partners."
It very clearly states TTR have corporate partners, but I have yet to be put in contact with any of them, if indeed this is (still) even a thing. Whether this is no longer an option after the careers team restructure, or their partners have no vacancies, whatever the case it has not been communicated to me. I have had no suggestion that this is even a possibility. This was one of the main reasons I signed up to TTR as it suggested a strong chance of swift employment upon completion of the course, as job hunting I consider myself to be weak on. Even now on TTR's website on the 'Why Choose Us' section they make reference to corporate partners.
So again, it is either very poor communication or a sold service that has not (so far) been delivered. Very disappointing.
TTR have ultimately failed to deliver what they told me they offer. Like I said at the start, my expectations were set based on what they told me. The phrase ‘sold a dream, delivered a nightmare’ comes to mind. Although the word ‘nightmare’ is a bit too strong, the sentiment of that saying is what applies here.
Having looked through a number of pages of reviews here on TTR, it’s clear that there is a trend of low reviews concerning TTR’s IT courses. The same issues keep being highlighted by IT students, the complaints are far too consistent for it to be a coincidence.

Please be careful with your money. I was told at the beginning that the course would take 3 months to do if I did 15 hours a week, and that one of the modules was React (one year later they didn't even let me now but just stopped giving the React "module" and changed it for Multimedia Specialist, which for me is useless). The "modules" that they offer are not interactive at all, is exactly like reading very long books. When I went back to them to ask them about the change on the React module, I stated that React was one of the most important things in web development and I wouldnt have paid the amount I pad if it wasnt for this module, and they called me a liar. Clearly for PT and other kind of stuff they might be good but for anything IT related please stay clear from them. There are so much better, more interactive places, for a much cheaper price.
Edit: They say that the “customer support service” have been “helping” me, the only thing they did, as mentioned above was to insinuate that I am a liar (regarding my dissapointment with React)

Well delivered course online. My tutor Mark Fox delivered the lectures with interest, interactive and always got back on any questions. Throughout the course all emails/questions with my tutor was answered promptly so I wasn't left feeling I couldn't continue with my work load.

My experience with The Training Room has been absolutely amazing. I chosen the Online E-Learning option, and from start to finish it was absolutely amazing, I couldn’t fault it. The work was clearly set out with loads of examples and there was 24/7 support throughout. Special shoutout to My tutor Mark Fox, he was absolutely amazing and is a huge credit to TTR, supported me throughout and the level of help and professionalism he gave was next level. Attended the 5 week intensive in Bristol - it was brilliant. Amanda our tutor was so knowledgable and was super supportive with everything (both practical, theory and job advise). If you're thinking about doing this course I'd defiantly recommend doing it in person as it's so much more beneficial to your own development!

Charlotte has been the best tutor I have ever had. I learned so much and can easily put her at the top of that list of tutors compared with others I had during my time at school, college and university. Her knowledge, willingness to help, attention to detail and smiley persona are the main reasons I was able to learn so much and complete my LAP so quickly and efficiently.
I am coming to the end of the Level 3 Personal Training fast track course in Birmingham. Charlotte has provided me with all the relevant information and support to be able to confidently revise and complete my work.

I recently qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer using the Training Room 5 week course. Our tutors Martin and Luke were fantastic- happy to answer any questions and support you both inside and outside of the classroom. The practical element was a lot of fun and there was a nice split between practical and theory throughout the course. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of doing this course.
